Abstract

Student engagement in school is influenced by various factors, one of which is related to student perceptions of teacher support. Positive and negative student perceptions of the support provided affect student involvement in the classroom. This study aims to determine the role of student perceptions related to teacher support on student engagement. The method uses a quantitative approach method. The population in this study were 232 students of SMP X Makassar City with a sample of 145 students obtained through accidental sampling techniques. Data is collected through questionnaire use Scale student engagement adaptation of 22 items (CFI = 0.924; TLI = 0.903; RMSEA = 0.0497) with McDonald's reliability = 0.873 and the teacher support adaptation scale is 11 items (CFI = 0.955; TLI = 0.940; RMSEA = 0.0577) with McDonald's reliability = 0.853. The results of this study indicate that student perception of teacher support have role and manner significant influential towards student engagement among students at SMP X Makassar City with contribution amounting to 23.8%. Implications in study This is perception student related teacher support is influential on student engagement be a better teacher give capable support​ in effort For make student own positive perception​ related support provided by teachers.

Abstract

Students face various challenges in their educational process, students must be more independent in facing challenges in college. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-esteem and loneliness in students. The sampling technique used accidental sampling technique. This study uses a quantitative method with 151 research respondents. The measuring instrument used in this study is the Rosenberg's self-esteem scale with a reliability value of 0.908 and the UCLA (University of California, Los Angel) Loneliness Scale with a reliability value of 0.922. Hypothesis testing uses the Pearson correlation analysis technique using the SPSS version 25.0 application with a sig = 0.014 and r = -0.201. The results of this study indicate that there is a negative relationship between self-esteem and loneliness in students at Makassar State University, meaning that the lower the level of self-esteem, the higher the level of loneliness of students at Makassar State University. The implication of this study is that students are expected to be able to realize the importance of self-esteem as a buffer in socializing and are expected to reduce the level of loneliness they feel, and this study is expected to be able to contribute to the development of theories related to self-esteem and loneliness in students.

Abstract

Abstrak.Anak jalanan di kota Parepare tidak mendapatkan haknya untuk memperoleh pendidikan yang layak. Anak jalanan menghabiskan waktunya untuk bekerja di jalanan dengan menjual tissue, kacang, parkir kendaraan. Hal tersebut berdampak pada kemampuan literasi yang rendah pada anak jalanan. Anak jalanan tidak bisa membaca dan menulis. Program environmental print adalah salah satu program yang dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pada anak. Environmental Print adalah cetakan teks yang ada di lingkungan sekeliling anak. Cetakan teks lingkungan dapat memudahkan anak belajar membaca karena anak sering melihat cetakan teks tersebut. Program ini diberikan kepada 20 Anak binaan Rumah Belajar Cinta Damai Kota Parepare. Hasil penerapan program ini dapat dilihat dari produk inovasi berupa alat peraga edukasi berbasis Environmental Print  yang dapat digunakan relawan RBCD dalam mendampingi anak jalanan belajar membaca. Environmental Print dapat digunakan untuk menyusun program literasi bagi anak jalananKata kunci: Environmental Print, Literasi, Anak Jalanan
