Abstract

Peranan pemerintah dalam pengelolaan irigasi telah berjalan dari tahun 2015-2019 yang bertujuan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat pertanian yang berada di wilayah jaringan Irigasi Saddang melalui program RPJM dan diharapkan mampu dioptimalisasikan dan termanfaatkan dengan baik oleh semua pihak utamanya masyarakat pertanian itu sendiri, sehingga keberlanjutan program dapat berkesinambungan kedepannya. Adapun tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis pendapatan petani melalui optimalisasi fungsi irigasi yang berada di daerah irigasi saddang di Kabupaten Sidrap. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama kurang lebih 3 bulan, dimulai bulan April hingga Juli tahun 2020. Adapun lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Sidrap, wilayah UPTD Sidenreng 1Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey Jumlah responden sebanyak 61 orang petani yang berasal dari petani penerima manfaat irigasi teknis di 5 petak tersier pada UPTD PSDA Sidenreng I di Kabupaten Sidrap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Kegiatan budidaya tanaman padi sawah yang dilakukan petani di Desa Kota Bangun I, yaitu sebagai berikut : (1) persiapan/pengolahan lahan, (2) persiapan semai dan persemaian, (3) penyulaman persemaian, (4) penyiangan gulma, (4) pemupukan, (5) penanaman, (6) pemeliharaan yang meliputi : penyulaman, pemupukan susulan, dan  pengendalian hama dan penyakit, (7) pemanenan, dan (8) pasca panen. Secara keseluruhan total biaya produksi yang dikeluarkan 61 responden selama satu musim tanam padi sawah adalah sebesar Rp 242.032.750,00 mt-1 atau dengan rata-rata biaya produksi sebesar Rp 6.050.819,00 mt-1 responden-1. Jika dikonvesi ke hektar maka total biaya produksi sebesar Rp 172.185.333,00 atau rata-rata sebesar Rp 4.304.633,00 ha-1 responden-1 Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pendapatan  yang diperoleh 61 responden adalah Rp 708.803.250,00 mt-1 dengan rata-rata sebesar Rp 17.720.081,00 mt-1 responden-1 atau jika dikonversikan ke hektar adalah  dengan rata-rata pendapatan sebesar Rp 12.274.766,67 ha-1 responden-1.

Abstract

This study explores the promising potential of Candlenut Shell Aggregate (CSA) as a sustainable and innovative alternative for lightweight concrete production. Derived from Aleurites moluccanus, CSA is an agricultural by-product characterized by its low density, moderate abrasion resistance, and high water absorption make it suitable for non-structural applications like wall panels and flooring. However, integrating CSA into concrete mixes requires careful management of the water-cement (w/c) ratio which significantly affects compressive strength, density, and workability. Concrete mixes were prepared using the absolute volume method, with w/c ratios ranging from 0.65 to 0.30, to identify the optimal balance. The absolute volume principle was applied for all mix designs. Our results indicate that an optimal w/c ratio of 0.55 yields the most favorable balance, achieving the highest compressive strength of 14.3 MPa and a maximum density of approximately 1850 kg/m3. This specific ratio strikes an ideal equilibrium between adequate cement hydration and effective void minimization within the concrete matrix. Conversely, higher w/c ratios lead to increased porosity, diminishing both strength and density, while lower ratios impair workability, hindering compaction and hydration, ultimately degrading performance. These findings resonate strongly with existing prior research, further emphasizing the crucial need for pre-treatment of CSA, such as soaking or the strategic incorporation of admixtures, to effectively mitigate its inherent high absorption and enhance overall mix performance. In conclusion, this study robustly confirms the feasibility of utilizing CSA as a lightweight aggregate. This represents a significant step towards developing an eco-friendly solution that not only contributes to global sustainability goals by repurposing agricultural waste but also actively reduces reliance on conventional, resource-intensive aggregates. Future research should explore the long-term durability of CSA-based concrete and investigate advanced admixtures to further enhance its properties for broader applications.

Abstract

This study aims to empower farmers in Takalar Regency through agribusiness digitalization. Despite having significant agrarian potential, farmers face challenges in marketing their products due to limited access to information and technology. Through a participatory approach, this activity involves outreach, training, and hands-on practice regarding the use of digital technology for online marketing. The results demonstrate an 80% increase in knowledge among participants, as well as the adoption of mobile applications and e-commerce platforms for product marketing. However, challenges such as limited internet access and digital literacy still need to be addressed. It is hoped that this program can strengthen food security and sustainably improve farmers' welfare.

Abstract

Background: A learning module, which is one of the learning facilities contains material, methods, and limitations. At Universitas Negeri Makassar, especially in the Department of Civil Engineering and Planning Education, there are only limited courses that provide learning modules. This study aims to develop a learning module for Road Material Testing course in the Department of Civil Engineering and Planning Education, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Makassar. Modules are beneficial because the self-instruction learning system in the module allows students to study independently so that learning resources do not always have to come from lecturers.Methods: This study employed the model by Puslitjaknov (2013) which is the simplified RnD design by Borg and Gall. The stages of research include the development of learning modules, analysis of data validation results, and revision of the developed products. The research instrument used was questionnaires which were given to media and material experts to assess the validity. The other instrument was used for testing students who had previously learned about Road Material Testing.Results: Based on the validation done by material and media experts, the developed module is in the Very Valid category. The results of large-scale field trials of the module with students of the Building Engineering Education study program at Universitas Negeri Makassar show that it is Very Valid (89.65%).Conclusion: The Road Material Testing learning module was developed in accordance with the Semester Lesson Plan of Road Material Testing course with four Course Learning Outcomes (CPMK), nine sub-Course Learning Outcomes of final competencies, and four learning activities.  The module was developed based on the results of the validation from material and media experts. Then, based on small and large-scale trials, the module is considered easy to understand.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the distribution and relevance of graduate competencies in S1 PTSP Department FT UNM to those in the world of work. This research was conducted for a year. The location of this research was conducted in according with the distribution of graduates. Samples amount 28 respondents. The data collected used questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The result shows that the waiting period of graduate majoring in engineering education buildings PTSP FT UNM within the last 3 years (2013-2015) in getting a job was an average of 4.4 months. Then, the relevance of the work with their educational background according to their expertise was 85.72% while 14.28% are not suitable. Furthermore, the level of relevance of graduates' technical skills in the field of building engineering was at the level of relevant amount 44.48%, and in the field of education at the level of highly relevant amount 55.00% of the number of observed respondents. The level of employability skills were in the proficient category with the average value about 48.75% of all aspects.

Abstract

Sedimentation in aquatic environments often occurs due to the presence of a high supply of sediment in that environment. Oceanographic factors, such as currents, play a significant role in the mechanism of sediment dispersion. The results of excavation processes that generate a significant amount of sediment often become unused waste. In this research, we strive to utilize the sand found in this sediment as a substitute for fine aggregates in concrete mixtures. Experimental testing methods are used to evaluate the characteristics of sediment that can be used as a substitute for fine aggregates. The research findings indicate that the sediment contains a high clay content, specifically 14.08%. We also found that concrete mixtures using 50% sediment sand from the Bili-Bili Reservoir had the highest compressive strength, reaching 17.36 MPa. However, the addition of Bili-Bili sediment sand to concrete mixtures resulted in a decrease in compressive strength. The greater the addition of Bili-Bili sediment sand, the lower the compressive strength. These findings emphasize the importance of testing materials to be used in concrete construction, especially aggregates, to meet all established requirements. By utilizing sediment as an alternative resource for fine aggregates, it can help reduce waste and consider public administration aspects in the management of sediment materials in the Bili-Bili Reservoir.

Abstract

Di era yang semakin berkembang ini, pemahaman akan pentingnya kualitas udara semakin meningkat. Salah satu aspek krusial dalam memantau kualitas udara adalah kemampuan untuk mengukur kecepatan aliran udara. Hal ini menjadi penting dalam berbagai konteks, mulai dari keamanan industri hingga kesehatan lingkungan. Namun, penggunaan alat pengukur kecepatan aliran udara seringkali dirasa kompleks bagi masyarakat umum. Oleh karena itu, diadakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk pelatihan penggunaan alat pengukur kecepatan aliran udara, yaitu hot-wire anemometer. Hot-wire anemometer adalah alat yang digunakan untuk mengukur kecepatan angin atau udara dengan cara mengubah perubahan suhu menjadi kecepatan angin. Alat ini menggunakan kawat panas yang sangat halus, yang ketika dialiri udara, suhu kawat tersebut akan menurun karena pendinginan oleh aliran udara. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat, khususnya di daerah-daerah yang membutuhkan dukungan teknologi dan pendidikan yang memadai. Dengan terselenggaranya kegiatan ini, diharapkan remaja di Kabupaten Majene dapat mengenal hot-wire anemometer serta mampu menggunakannya sebagai alat pengukur kecepatan aliran udara dan suhu pada bangunan. Keterampilan ini akan sangat berguna dalam meningkatkan kesadaran akan kualitas udara di lingkungan mereka serta mendukung upaya pengelolaan lingkungan yang lebih baik

Abstract

Abstrak – Permasalahan lingkungan akibat peningkatan volume limbah rumah tangga dan rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap produk ramah lingkungan menjadi tantangan utama di wilayah perkotaan, termasuk di Kelurahan Parang Tambung Kota Makassar. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan remaja masjid dalam mengenal green product serta mengelola limbah rumah tangga berdasarkan prinsip Reduce, Reuse, dan Recycle (3R). Metode yang digunakan meliputi pendekatan partisipatif melalui tahapan survei awal, sosialisasi konsep produk hijau, pelatihan praktis pengelolaan limbah, pendampingan, serta evaluasi keberhasilan program. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta hingga 92% berdasarkan uji post-test, serta terbentuknya kelompok remaja Green-Masjid sebagai tindak lanjut. Kegiatan ini berdampak positif dalam membangun kesadaran ekologis, memperkuat peran remaja masjid sebagai agen perubahan sosial dan lingkungan, serta mendukung gerakan Green-Masjid di tingkat lokal. Program serupa direkomendasikan untuk diperluas ke wilayah lain guna memperkuat partisipasi generasi muda dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: green product, 3R, remaja masjid, kesadaran lingkungan

Abstract

Studi ini mengkaji struktur bangunan rumah susun Polda Sulawesi Selatan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak ETABS versi 20. Tujuan utama penelitian adalah untuk memahami pemodelan struktur tiga dimensi berbasis beton bertulang, teknik pembebanan, dan evaluasi hasil gaya internal pada berbagai komponen struktur. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari analisis struktur menggunakan Detail Engineering Design (DED) sebagai acuan perencanaan. Proses analisis mencakup penetapan material, pemodelan struktur, pemberian beban gempa dan beban lainnya, serta evaluasi gaya aksial, geser, dan momen lentur. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai gaya aksial maksimum sebesar 670,76 kN, gaya geser maksimum sebesar 136,07 kN, dan momen lentur maksimum sebesar 141,34 kN-m². Beban gempa horizontal terbesar terjadi pada lantai 3 dengan nilai Fx dan Fy masing-masing sebesar 533,78 N. Penulangan elemen struktural meliputi, antara lain, balok G1.1 dengan 5 batang D16 pada tumpuan dan 2 batang D16 pada lapangan. Kolom K1, K2, dan K3 memerlukan 12, 5, dan 9 batang D16. Rasio kekuatan maksimum sebesar 0,574 menunjukkan struktur memenuhi standar faktor keamanan. Secara keseluruhan, seluruh komponen struktural dinyatakan aman dan sesuai dengan kriteria teknis berdasarkan hasil simulasi ETABS.

Abstract

Bengkel sepeda motor merupakan salah satu sumber penghasil limbah logam aluminium yang cukup tinggi, terutama dari komponen mesin bekas seperti karter, rumah kopling, dan braket. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, mitra bengkel mengalami beberapa permasalahan utama, yaitu rendahnya kemampuan pemilahan limbah non-ferrous, penanganan limbah yang masih tercampur oli dan komponen non-logam, tidak tersedianya SOP pengelolaan limbah, serta belum adanya pemanfaatan limbah aluminium menjadi produk bernilai tambah. Kondisi ini menyebabkan limbah hanya dijual sebagai scrap dengan harga rendah, menumpuk di area kerja, dan menimbulkan risiko pencemaran lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan melalui kerja sama Tim Otomotif Peduli Lingkungan Hidup (OPELH) dengan bengkel mitra di Kabupaten Gowa untuk memberikan edukasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan dalam pengelolaan limbah aluminium serta pengolahannya menggunakan teknik pengecoran cetak. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi analisis situasi dan kebutuhan mitra, pelatihan pemilahan limbah dan penerapan K3, demonstrasi proses peleburan dan penuangan aluminium, serta pendampingan produksi dan pemasaran produk olahan sederhana berupa peralatan masak seperti wajan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan mitra mengenai pengelolaan limbah, kemampuan teknis pengecoran, serta kesadaran terhadap aspek keselamatan dan lingkungan. Selain itu, mitra berhasil menghasilkan produk seperti wajan dan tatakan berbahan aluminium daur ulang yang memiliki nilai jual. Program ini berkontribusi pada terciptanya bengkel berwawasan lingkungan, peningkatan produktivitas, serta terbukanya peluang ekonomi baru berbasis pemanfaatan limbah secara berkelanjutan.
