Abstract

Pertanian sebagai landasan untuk mewujudkan ketahanan pangan negara sehingga pemerintah memiliki berbagai macam program salah satunya pengembangan padi Inpari. Padi INPARI adalah singkatan dari Inbrida Padi Sawah Irigasi, merupakan padi inbrida yang ditanam dilahan sawah. Inbrida mempunyai arti varietas yang di kembangkan dari satu tanaman melalui penyerbukan sendiri sehingga memiliki tingkat kemurnian atau homozigositas yang tinggi. Untuk mendukung pelaksanaan program tersebut membutuhkan partisipasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis partisipasi petani dalam pengembangan padi varietas inpari di Subak Pande Desa Sumita Kecamatan Gianyar Kabupaten Gianyar. Penentuan lokasi penelitian menggunakan metode purposive, yaitu penentuan secara sengaja. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan wawancara mendalam. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh yaitu dengan mengambil seluruh (sensus) anggota populasi petani Subak Pande dengan jumlah anggota sebanyak 47 orang untuk dijadikan responden. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat partisipasi petani Subak Pande dalam pengembangan padi inpari termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Hal ini dinilai melalui tahapan partisipasi yang meliputi tahapan pengambilan Keputusan, tahapan pelaksanaan dan tahapan menikmati hasil. Pada tahapan pengambilan Keputusan didapatkan nilai partisipasi petani termasuk dalam kategori sedang, pada tahapan pelaksanaan didapatkan nilai partisipasi petani termasuk dalam kategori sedang namun dalam tahapan menikmati hasil termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Abstract

Comparison Of The Perceptions Of Adolescent Farmers’ Children And Non-Farmers’ Children Towards The Farming Profession in Tegallinggah Village, Karangasem District, Karangasem Regency. Bali Province is a province that is experiencing rapid development in the industrial sector or the service and tourism sector. Problems in the field of agricultural labor still continue today. Changes in demographic structure that are slightly favorable in the agricultural sector are the main problem, namely that the number of old farmers is getting higher, while the young labor force is decreasing. The sample in this study was 74 people, then divided into two sample groups, namely 37 adolescents of farmer children and 37 adolescents of non-farmer children. Determination through simple random sampling method, data collection using survey methods and data analysis using statistical descriptive analysis. The results of this study show that adolescents' perception of the farmer profession in Tegallinggah Village belongs to the category of hesitating, they think of farmers as a fairly good profession, but when compared to other professions, there are still many professions that are considered better than the farmer profession. Other results of this study show that there are differences in the perceptions of adolescents of farmer children with adolescents of non-farmer children, where the perception of adolescents of farmer children is better than the perception of adolescents not children of farmers. The suggestion in this study, the agriculture office of Karangasem Regency can provide counseling on the potential and opportunities related to the farmer profession.

Abstract

Influencing Factors Toward Rice Selling with Rice Slash System in Subak Babakan, Sambangan Village, Sukasada Subdistrict, Buleleng Regency The purpose of this study was to determine the influenced factors such as; age, education, farming experience, number of family dependents, and land tenure were affected farmers for making decision for choosen rice sold with slash system and their bargaining position within sold grain with the slash system. This research was done in Subak Babakan, Sambangan Village, Sukasada Sub-District, Buleleng Regency. The subjek was 36 farmers of Subak Babakan. The land ownership per household was on average 0.80 hectares. Meanwhile, in the negotiation of crop yields with the slashing system, the bargaining position of farmers were still very low due to a lack of knowledge and negotiation skills in determining the price of grain. The results showed that some the factors showed positive effect. Those effect were age, education background, farming experience, number of family dependents and land tenure has significantly effect. The statistical analysis result showed t-count > t-table. The data also showed the farmers bargaining position within sold grain in the slash system was still very low. This due to lack of knowledge and skills in negotiation and determination of the price of grain.

Abstract

Relationship between Leader's Communication Style and Employee Performance of PT. Socfin Indonesia Plantation Tanah Beih Serdang Bedagai North Sumatra The performance of each employee in each division is highly dependent on the communication style of the leader of the division head. Differences in leadership style of communication often lead to jealousy between divisions. In addition, based on observations made at PT. Socfin Indonesia Plantation Tanah Besih Serdang Bedagai, North Sumatra, the performance of the employees is considered to be lacking. The purpose of this study was to determine the leadership communication style, employee performance, and the relationship between leadership communication style and employee performance at PT. Socfin Indonesia, Serdang Bedagai Land Plantatio n, North Sumatra. The population in this study were 226 people. Sampling using the Slovin formula so that the number of respondents in this study were 69 employees with descriptive research methods and data analysis used was descriptive analysis and statistical correlation analysis. The results of this study indicate that the leadership communication style has a positive and significant relationship with the performance of employees of PT. Socfin Indonesia Perkebunan Tanah Besi, Serdang Bedagai, North Sumatra, amounted to 67,6%, this is assumed based on the results of the correlation test with the acquisition of the correlation coefficient value obtained at 0,676 with a sig value. (2-tailed) of 0,00 < 0,05 and the results of the linearity test with an F value of Linearity of 66,30 > F table 3,13 with a significance value of 0,00 < 0,05. The leader's communication style has a score between 139-276 which means that the leader's communication style in the category is good enough to be good enough with respondents who responded well enough as many as 18 people (26,1%) who gave good responses as many as 18 people (26,1%). Employee performance had a score between 139-276 in the category good enough to good with respondents giving a fairly good response of 18 people (26,1%) who gave good responses as many as 18 people (26,1%).

Abstract

Farmers Attitudes Towards The Development of Agro-Tourism in Subak Anggabaya, Denpasar Timur District, Denpasar City. The members of subak as an irrigation management must play an active role in the development of agro-tourism in order to create agro-tourism that is feasible in terms of attractions, accessibility, amenities, and ancillaries. The purpose of this study is to examine the development of agro-tourism and analyze the attitudes of farmers towards the development of agro-tourism in Subak Anggabaya, East Denpasar. The data collection process went through four stages, namely structured interviews, in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Respondents in this study amounted to 53 people. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method. The results indicate the condition of the Subak Anggabaya area already supports several requirements for agro-tourism development. Subak Anggabaya agrotourism is classified as very good in terms of attractions and accessibility, but is still classified as lacking in aspects of amenities and institutions. Other results show that Subak Anggabaya’s members agree on the development of agro-tourism in Subak Anggabaya by achieving a score of 4.11. There are several components of tourism development that need to be developed in Subak Anggabaya agro-tourism. Although the farmers showed agreement, some farmers did not know what agro-tourism is. Intensive socialization is needed by the government regarding the development of agro-tourism.

Abstract

KUM Fund Management Model (Independent Business Credit) by Women Farmers in Subak Guama, Tabanan Bali This research aims to describe the utilization model of KUM (Kredit Usaha Mandiri or Independent Business Credit) funds by female farmers, identify the types of businesses developed, and understand the profiles of female farmers managing KUM funds in Subak Guama. Data was collected through structured interviews, online (WhatsApp) interviews, and documentary studies. The respondents consisted of 25 female farmers who participated in the utilization of KUM credit in KUAT Subak Guama, selected through proportional random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive-interpretive, qualitative, and quantitative approaches. The research findings indicate that the KUM fund management model includes the utilization of credit as productive business capital by 67%, while 33% of the KUM funds are used for consumptive or non-productive purposes. The types of businesses developed include primary, secondary, and tertiary businesses. The profile of the female farmers consists of an average age of 46.48 years, an average education level of 10.56 years, a family burden of 4 individuals, and an average land ownership of 32.28 ares.

Abstract

Strategy to Build Ecotourism Destinations in Subak Sungsang Area of Tibubiu Village, Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency Subak Sungsang is located in Tibubiu village, Kerambitan subdistrict, which has the potential to be developed as an ecotourism destination. The research aims to internal and external factors, also formulate general, alternative, and priority strategies. This research using several analyses, such as IFAS, EFAS, IE matrix, SWOT matrix and QSPM analysis. The results showed that strengths and weakness which come from internal factors are ritual activities or religious culture individually continue to run and the absence of managers for tourism in Subak Sungsang. In other hand, the opportunities and threats which come from external factors are concerns from farmers and tourists towards the subak area and the tendency of people who turn to tourism. General strategy is derived from the total IFAS score of 3,00 and the total EFAS score of 2,26 which is located in cell V (hold and maintain). Alternative strategy consists ten alternative strategies. Priority strategies for the development of Subak Sungsang into ecoturism destination are maintaining natural resources, preserving religious rituals and improving the quality of human resources Subak Sungsang. Advice that can be given is implemeting priority strategies. This strategy can be considered to develop Subak Sungsang as ecotourism destination. In the future, deep and further research is expected to examine supporting factors and inhibitory factors.

Abstract

Farmer’s Participations in the Hybrid Rice Sterling Variety Development in Subak Batuan Dangin, Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency The increasing population will increase the amount of food consumption for rice needs. One of the innovations in agriculture is Sterling hybrid rice. The development of Sterling hybrid rice certainly cannot be separated from the participation of farmers. The objective of this study was to analyze farmer’s participations in the development of Sterling hybrid rice varieties and to figure out the factors that affects the participation. This research is a qualitative research. Data was collected using in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The key informant in this study were 13 people. Data analysis in this study is descriptive qualitative. Based on the results of the research, at the decision-making stage farmers have been involved in all aspects of activities for decision-making, at the implementation stage farmers generally have followed the implementation activities in accordance with the agreement that was taken, at the stage of enjoying the results the farmers were satisfied with this development, and at the evaluation stage farmers provided input and suggestions. In terms of social factors are influenced by the age and education of farmers, economic factors are influenced by an increase in income and the amount of production, and technical factors are influenced by the way of maintenance.

Abstract

The Correlation between Farmer’s Knowledge and Attitudes towards Their Behavior in the Use of Personal Protective Equipment (Case study in Ayunan Village, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency) The study employs an analytical survey by employing cross sectional approach in order to investigate and to describe the correlation between farmer’s knowledge and attitudes towards their behavior in the use of spray pesticide personal protective equipment in Ayunan Village, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency by the year of 2020. There are 334 farmers who become members of Subak in Ayunan Village, used as population of the study. The number of research samples is 35 farmers. The data is analyzed by using chi square test. The study employs a simple random sampling with a questionnaire as the instrument. According to the results of the Product Moment Correlation test, the significance value of the pearson correlation of respondents' knowledge is 0.000 < 0.05. It can be concluded that there is a correlation between farmer’s knowledge and behavior in the use of PPE. In the attitude variable, the significance value of the pearson correlation is 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a correlation between attitudes and behavior of farmers in the use of PPE.

Abstract

Acceptance of the Sustainable Food Yard Program (P2L) at KWT Jaya Kerti Lestari in Maintaining Household Food Security in Rendang Village Rendang District, Karangasem Regency. This study aims to create an acceptance model of the P2L Program in maintaining the resilience of community households, and knowing the characteristics of respondents. The research location is in KWT Jaya Kerti Lestari, Rendang Village, Rendang District, Karangasem. Respondents were determined by census as many as 40 people who were members of KWT Jaya Kerti Lestari. Data collection with structured and in-depth interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively descriptive and SEM analysis methods. The results showed that the characteristics of respondents include, the average age of 55.09 years, the average education of 6.05 years equivalent to graduating from elementary school, the average household of 3 people, the average ownership of yard land covering an area of 4.80 acres, predominantly having the main job of farmers and their side as traders. The results also showed that the level of knowledge of KWT members towards the P2L program was high (score 72.27%), the attitude of KWT members towards the P2L program was classified as agreeable (score 77.63%), and the level of application of KWT members to the P2L program was high (score 77.58%). P2L program acceptance is high with a score of 76.95%. The acceptance of the P2L program is seen from the welfare indicators of KWT members which are classified as high (score 79%), acceptance of innovation (score 67%) in the Medium category and Cooperation of group members in carrying out P2L program activities is high with a score of 82.20%. Furthermore, to see the acceptance of P2L programs in maintaining household food security, it will be analyzed with SEM-PLS. Through the results of the analysis, the acceptance model of the P2L Program is largely determined by the implementation of the P2L program which is influenced by cooperation with a t-stat value of 3.104 (above 1.96) and a p-value of 0.002.
