Abstract This research was conducted in Kayubulan Village, Batudaa Pantai sub district, Gorontalo district. The purpose was to determine the implementation of Rula Agribusiness Development program, the impact of the program on corn productivity and the selection of farmers' empowerment strategies. It was conducted on 100 members of farmers groups who received Rural Agribusiness Development Program BLM funds in 2008. The results showed that the returns from the program by farmers were still low at 32%. The results of paired t- test analysis showed that the program had a significant impact (real on the 95% confidence level) on corn farming productivity compared to before receiving the program funds. The implementation of the program for corn farmers has advantages that are satisfying the farmers with the potential threats (challenges). Farmers were satisfied with the existence of the program as one of the capital providers for corn farming. However, the low rate of return of programs influences the sustainability of the program itself.

Abstract

Indonesia has several rice producing centers, one of which is Sidrap Regency which is located in South Sulawesi with the support of a rice transplanter technology system. This research aims to analyze the factors inhibiting the implementation of rice transplanter rice planting machine innovation and strategies for implementing the use of this planting machine. This research uses descriptive analysis by creating frequency tables and percentages from primary data results obtained through interviews with respondents. Likert scale to measure farmers' responses to the dissemination of the Rice Transplanter rice planting machine innovation in Sidrap Regency and the ISM method was used to develop a strategy for implementing the dissemination of agricultural innovation to support agricultural development in Sidrap Regency. The research results show that the factors inhibiting the implementation of Rice Transplanter machine innovation are farmers' lack of skills in using rice transplanter, limited rice transplanter, facilities in farmer groups, lack of rice transplanter service providers and lack of farmer staff, motivation to use rice planting tools. The strategy for implementing rice transplanter innovation is through training in implementing rice transplanter innovation, increasing farmers' interest in using rice transplanters, providing rice transplanter facilities and strengthening institutions.

Abstract

Abstract

The decrease in the capacity of the yard is often the result of non-agribusiness-based management and inappropriate selection of commodities. This action weakens the function of the home garden ecosystem which also reduces its benefits as an economic, social and environmental aesthetic support. To grow this contribution, KWT has a vital role in generating yard optimization. This paper is to examine the role of KWT in increasing the contribution of the yard in the rural area. The approach used was a survey, which was conducted in Kayubulan Village from August to October 2018. The research sample consisted of 60 people and was analyzed descriptively including analysis of contribution, role, working hours and income. The results showed that 42.42% of the yard area was utilized for the cultivation of vegetables, fruit and spices. The time spent by women farmers is 23.28 JKSP/month, and the contribution of yard management is 54.61%. Yard management is able to contribute IDR 403,175/month equivalent to 15.28%. This indicates that good management of the yard will be able to increase profits by choosing an adaptive pattern, business potential and based on the family's primary needs.
