Abstract

The Cikaso River is a flowing water ecosystem that stretches approximately 60 km in the southeastern part of Sukabumi Regency, West Java Province. This river is known to the local community as one of the main rivers with high fish biodiversity. One type of fish in these waters is the dusky sleeper (Eleotris fusca), locally known as the nyereh fish. The local community uses the nyereh fish as one of the fish for consumption. Until now, scientific studies on the biological aspects of nyereh fish, especially related to growth and condition factors, have been very limited. This study examines the relationship between length-weight and condition factor values of nyereh fish living in the Cikaso River, Sukabumi. Sample collection was executed throughout 2021, from January to December, using a trap fishing gear. A total of 513 individual fish were successfully collected with a total length ranging from 82 to 152 mm. The analysis of the relationship between total length and fish weight produced a regression equation W = 0.00001 L3.3233 with a coefficient of determination value of 0.9897. The slope value of the log curve of 3.3233 (b>3) indicates that the weight growth of the nyereh fish is more dominant than the growth of its length. Meanwhile, the fish condition factor values ranged from 0.86 to 1.26. The condition factor for nyereh fish reached its highest point at the start of the dry season in May and its lowest at the start of the rainy season in October

Abstract

This study aims to design an ecotourism e-booklet on mangrove conservation for visitors of Angke Kapuk Nature Tourism Park (TWA Angke Kapuk) using a design thinking approach. The background of this research is the limited availability of interactive educational media in the park, which causes tourists to focus mainly on recreation without gaining a deeper understanding of mangrove conservation. A mixed methods approach was applied, combining surveys with 30 visitors, interviews with park managers, and design thinking stages including empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Initial surveys revealed a low satisfaction level with existing media (average score 2.93), while interest in a digital e-booklet was very high (86.7%). The developed prototype contains information about mangrove ecosystem functions, seedling processes, planting techniques, monitoring activities, and includes interactive quizzes as well as QR codes linking to videos. Testing results indicated a significant increase in visitor satisfaction (average 4.36) and conservation awareness, with respondents stating that the e-booklet provided new knowledge (mean 4.50) and raised awareness of the importance of protecting mangroves (mean 4.63). Thus, the e-booklet is proven effective as an interactive educational medium that supports conservation efforts and sustainable ecotourism development in TWA Angke Kapuk.

Abstract

Pemenuhan gizi yang optimal pada ibu hamil dan anak merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam mendukung kesehatan dan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Namun, pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pemenuhan gizi dan pemanfaatan pangan lokal bergizi masih perlu ditingkatkan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pentingnya pemenuhan gizi bagi ibu dan anak melalui diversifikasi pangan berbasis ikan dan sayuran. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 22 November 2025 di Aula Balai Desa Mandrajaya, Kecamatan Ciemas, Kabupaten Sukabumi dengan melibatkan sekitar 40 peserta yang terdiri atas ibu hamil, ibu balita, dan ibu rumah tangga. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi mengenai pentingnya gizi keluarga, penyampaian konsep diversifikasi pangan, demonstrasi pengolahan bakso ikan tenggiri dengan penambahan wortel, serta diskusi interaktif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan tingginya partisipasi dan antusiasme peserta selama kegiatan berlangsung. Peserta memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai pentingnya konsumsi pangan bergizi serta pemanfaatan ikan dan sayuran sebagai sumber zat gizi yang dapat diolah menjadi produk pangan yang menarik dan mudah diterapkan di tingkat rumah tangga. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi gizi yang dipadukan dengan demonstrasi pengolahan pangan dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pemenuhan gizi keluarga.
