Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is a qualitative research. The technique is content analysis using the data in the form of words, phrases, and sentences. Writer uses a psychoanalysis study. In revealing moral values infringement, writer focuses on three questions; how are the type, cause, and effect of moral values violations in the story. Based on psychoanalysis, there is a moral value infringement. The type of moral values infringement is a murdering case. The cause of moral values violations is a self ambition to reach wealth and prosperity. The effect of moral values violations is a charge of death sentence. Based on the research, there are practical implications in education; to improve the quality and quantity of literature learning in high schools in accordance with the objectives contained in the curriculum. Teachers invites the students to enjoy literature study to differ on good and bad moral teachings and to enhance their ability in using English. Keywords: Moral, psychoanalisis, novel

Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan penerapan metode pembelajaran berbasis tugas untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman pada siswa kelas X MIPA 1 semester satu tahun ajaran 2019/2020 di SMA Negeri 1 Baros. Subjek dipilih peneliti secara purposif disesuaikan dengan tujuan penelitian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses dan hasil peningkatan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman. Model tindakan yang digunakan adalah model dari Kemmis & Mc Taggart yang menjelaskan satu siklus pembelajaran terdiri dari:1) perencanaan 2). Tindakan 3). Observasi dan 4) refleksi. Metode pengumpulan data berupa lembar pengamatan, dan unjuk kerja keterampilan berbicara. Pada analisis data kualitatif, penulis melakukan pencatatan, mengumpulkan, memilah, mengklasifikasikan, mensintesis dan membuat kesimpulan. Analisis data dengan statistika deskriptif disajikan dalam bentuk tabel atau grafik untuk mengetahui signifikasi perbedaan antara nilai keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman sebelum dan sesudah tindakan dilakukan,. Hasil penelitian pada tahap pra-tindakan menggambarkan capaian belajar siswa 72% tidak tuntas, dan hanya 28% memperoleh skor tuntas. Tahap siklus 1 mendeskripsikan adanya peningkatan yakni 47% siswa tidak tuntas, dan 53% tuntas. Pada siklus 2 terjadi peningkatan yang jauh lebih baik yakni 86% tuntas, dan 14% tidak tuntas. Nilai ketuntasan siswa yang mencapai 86% menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran berbasis tugas dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam berbicara bahasa Jerman.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze philosophical studies contained in the development of basic writing materials based on brain based learning. Philosophical studies are used there are three, namely, ontology, epistimology and axiology. This research is qualitative research that uses descriptive methods. Data collection techniques used using library studies against references related to the topics studied in this article in the form of literature related to the development of teaching materials, basic writing and brain based learning. The results of this study are a discussion of three studies of the philosophy of science on the development of basic writing materials based on brain based learning. Ontology studies are formulated to examine a development of teaching materials in third semester students who take basic writing courses in the English education study program, Universitas Indraprasta PGRI. Epistimologically, the methods used in the study are in accordance with learning models based on brain abilities developed by Jensen. Then the axiology foundation contained in the research is the value of educational technology and human value because basically this research is done to develop educational technology in the form of brain based learning teaching materials that can support the performance of lecturers and students so that the learning outcomes created can be maximized

Abstract

Mengingat adanya keterbatasan peserta didik SLB dalam pembelajaran, Sekolah harus menentukan strategi guna mengoptimalkan pelayanan Pendidikan. Salah satu pelayanan yang diberikan adalah dengan memastikan ketersediaan sumber belajar bagi peserta didik. Selain perkembangan teknologi yang makin pesat, kebutuhan akan pengenalan Bahasa asing juga menjadi sebuah tuntutan saat ini. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara empiris sejauh mana SLB Negeri 4 menjalankan fungsi pengelolaan sumber belajar pada mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian studi kasus di SLB Negeri 4 Jakarta. Penelitian ini diselenggarakan saat pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas. Peneltian ini mengkaji pengelolaan sumber belajar melalui tinjauan filsafat manajemen.Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan Pengelolaan sumber belajar SLBN 4 mengikuti faktor dasar pengelolaan berdasarkan filsafat manajemen yang dikemukakan siswanto, terdiri atas kepentingan bersama, tujuan, ketua, kebijakan, fungsi, factor dasar, struktur, prosedur dan moral kerja

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami pembelajaran sastra anak dalam membentuk karakter anak di sekolah dasar. Pembelajaran sastra anak di sekolah dasar memegang peranan penting dalam membentuk karakter anak. Walaupun untuk menghibur, tetap saja sastra anak bersifat mendidik. Sikap dan prilaku anak dapat dibentuk dengan pembelajaran sastra yang tepat dan sesuai. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur. Data diperoleh dari berbagai sumber kepustakaan, berupa buku teks, artikel ilmiah, dan sumber-sumber dari google scholar, digital library, dan lainnya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan menelaah sumber bacaan yang ada hubungannya dengan kajian yang dibahas, yaitu pembelajaran sastra anak dalam membentuk karakter siswa di sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa dalam pembelajaran sastra anak untuk membentuk karakter, guru harus dapat memahami subjek belajar, bahan ajar, dan juga startegi belajar. Dengan pembelajaran sastra, anak di sekolah dasar akan memahami mengenai baik buruk, benar salah, pantas dan tidak pantas melalui pendidikan karakter yang tertuang di dalamnya.

Abstract

Politeness strategies are crucial to communicate with others in the community. This research aims to describe the politeness principle in students' language from the perspective of Madura culture in an Islamic boarding school environment. This research uses qualitative and descriptive research methods to present data directly obtained through recording. The subjects of the study were students and lecturers of the Al Karimiyyah Islamic Boarding School Sumenep. The data were collected by transcribing the conversation between students, teachers, and principals. The results of this study indicate that some sacred words contradict the principle of politeness in the cultural perspective of the Madurai community, especially at the level of the use of Madurai, including Engghih-Bunten, Enggih-enten, and Enjek-Iye. The politeness of the students’ language use in the Islamic Boarding School is influenced by the social background, circumstances, and the combination of boarding school and Madura cultures.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to investigate university students’ representation on their critical thinking in academic writing from a critical literacy perspective, in which text is bias and it possesses ideological perspective of writer in expressing social critics, inequality, and power relations. Researchers analyzed 91 argumentative texts writing from Indonesian undergraduate English education students, which were qualitatively assessed using Facione’s HCTSR and LaGuardia’ s CLR rubrics, as well as NVivo 12 Plus software and an integrated theme meaning approach to qualitative content analysis. Researchers discovered that students’ critical thinking skills varied in demonstrating their logical arguments, systematic thinking in reasoning, analysis and evaluation, decision-making, and problem-solving strategies in their academic writing in higher education.

Abstract

Purposely contemplating at seventh semester students of English Education Study Progam, it is perceived that students exhibit a lack of skills in use of rhetoric, predominantly making errors in the use of words and phrases, directly translating words from Bahasa Indonesia to English interlanguage error and organizing their written text inadequately. Moreover, it is discovered that the viewpoints of the students frequently shift. To address this, this current study aims at investigating students macro-level coherence in their academic writing (henceforth; background of the study of a research proposal). A content analysis is applied including documents. Additionally, a descriptive analysis design is used to guide this study. There are six research proposals investigated to gain the data of this study. These proposals are taken purposively sampled from proposals submission from early 2018 intake. There are two main frameworks in this study. Firstly, the academic writing guidance book is used to analyze the rhetoric/organization of the paper. Secondly, the coherence analysis is applied to evaluate students coherence level. Analysis of findings shows that students encounter some problems in the coherence of English research proposal writing. Hence, it is argued that close attention should be paid to the refinement and suitable tutoring of coherence in the teaching of academic English writing

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the needs of task-based model syllabus for Arabic language learning in Nursing Academy at As-Syafi'yah Islamic University in Jakarta. Currently, most of the specific language syllabus does not fulfil the student needs and its content that is the language used is very general and did not really based on the needs of students. The study analyses the student needs using descriptive analysis method. While the data will be collected from document, questionnaire, and interview. Then, the data analysed will be validated by expert of qualitative technique. There are three steps of process will go through, namely data reduction, data display, and taking conclusion. The result of study shows that task-based model of Arabic nursing sylabus which is refered to Indonesia's national qualification framework is proper and decent to be used as the guidance of Arabic teaching and learning process at Nursing Academy of As-Syafi'yah Islamic University Jakarta.

Abstract

This study aims to discover the variety and research trends for L1 language use in the L2 classroom. This study used library research or literature review to collect and process the data. The data originated from national and international articles, journals, and documents. Many sources have shown the result of the study stating that using a first language in learning a foreign language, especially in the speaking classroom, has made teachers and students get several positive attitudes. According to some research, the three characteristics of positive attitudes toward using the Indonesian language in the speaking classroom-language involve loyalty, language pride, and language awareness of norms that both teachers and students highlight. The two methodologies most commonly used in linguistic attitude studies are direct and indirect measures. The results of a survey of linguistic attitudes indicate whether or not students are effective at learning a language. Attitude is known, not innate.
