Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian probiotik Effective Microorganism-4 (EM4) dalam air minum terhadap performa ayam KUB pada fase grower. Penelitian memakai metode eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) pola searah terdiri dari 4 level perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, yakni P0 (air minum tanpa pemberian EM4), P1 (EM4 0,5 ml + air minum 1000 ml), P2 (EM4 1 ml + air minum 1000 ml), P3 (EM4 1,5 ml + air minum 1000 ml). Variabel Penelitian yakni konsumsi pakan (gram), konsumsi minum, pertambahan berat badan (gram), dan FCR. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian EM4 pada air minum terhadap performa ayam KUB dengan dosis 0,5 ml/liter air, 1 ml/liter dan 1,5 ml/liter air tidakmemberikan pengaruh pada konsumsi pakan, konsumsi minum, pertambahan berat badan serta FCR. Nilai rataan konsumsi pakan sebesar 47.86- 50,25 gram/ekor/hari, rataan konsumsi minum sebesar 92.90-105.53 ml/ekor/hari, rataan pertambahan bobot badan 16.36-17.07 gram/ekor/hari, dan raatan FCR sebesar 2,92-2,96.

Abstract

    Salah satu permasalahan lingkungan yang terjadi pada setiap wilayah adalah masalah sampah. Sampah yang dihasilkan setiap rumah tangga tentunya menjadi hal yang tidak bisa dihindari, baik itu sampah organik maupun sampah anorganik. Desa Sekaran Kecamatan Sekaran Kabupaten Lamongan merupakan salah satu kawasan penghasil sampah terbanyak, dengan jumlah penduduk sebesar laki-laki 21.248 dan perempuan 23.574 mayoritas penduduk Desa Sekaran adalah beternak lele dan bertani di sawah. Sampah organik maupun sampah anorganik yang dihasilkan oleh rumah tangga tentunya dapat berbahaya bagi lingkungan. Diperlukan upaya-upaya untuk mengurangi volume sampah yang akan dibuang ke lingkungan. Bentuk upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga berupa sampah organik dan sampah anorganik. Sampah organik yang berasal dari rumah tangga dapat dijadikan bahan untuk budidaya maggot sebagai pakan lele. Melalui kegiatan ini masyarakat Desa Sekaran yang di kelola oleh BUMDES yang diwakili oleh ibu-ibu rumah tangga di RT 11 dan RT 03 Desa Sekaran Kecamatan Sekaran Kabupaten Lamongan dapat meningkatkan pendapatan ekonomi keluarga dengan cara mengolah  kembali sampah organik sebagai media budidaya maggot untuk pakan lele yang murah dan praktis, sehingga dapat mengurangi biaya pembelian pakan untuk ternak lele, selain itu dengan adanya kegiatan ini, maka dapat mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan.

Abstract

Sekaran Village is a village with a dense population, so the quantity of waste, both organic and inorganic from the village community is also high. This experiment focuses on processing organic waste only with Maggot Black Soldier Fly (BSF) media which has the potential to decompose organic waste. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of degradation of organic waste with BSF maggot media at the Sekar Benefit 3R Temporary Disposal Site (TPS) Sekaran District, Lamongan Regency. The results of this experiment include the increase in the mass of Baby Maggot BSF before and after degrading waste. The level of degradation of organic waste with Baby Maggot BSF is rice (69.83%), bones (50.5%), meat (46%), fruit (45.83%), wet leaves (31.5%) and the last is dry leaves (16.67%). Meanwhile, the level of degradation of organic waste with Adult BSF Maggot is not as high as the level of degradation of organic waste with Baby Maggot BSF media. Organic waste type which easily degraded by Adults Maggot BSF for 24 hours are meat, fruit and rice up to 0.59, 0.44 and 0.11 kg. Meanwhile, dry leaves, wet leaves and vegetables, which were degraded up to 0.69, 0.59 and 0.7 kg. It was concluded that the type of organic waste did not affect the quantity of Adult BSF Maggot before and after degrading organic waste.

Abstract

Eceng gondok adalah tumbuhan air mengapung dan berkembang sangat cepat sehingga dianggap merusak lingkungan perairan dan menjadi salah satu penyebab banjir. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah melakukan pelatihan kepada masyarakat dalam pemanfaatan eceng gondok sebagai pakan ternak kambing berbasis silase di Desa Lukrejo Kecamatan Kalitengah Kabupaten Lamongan. Banyak permasalahan yang dihadapi di Desa Lukrejo di antaranya yaitu minimnya sumber pakan ternak kambing, pertumbuhan enceng gondok yang semakin meluas dan menjadi penyebab kotor dan banjir di aliran sungai, bahkan lahan sawah atau tambak. Sehingga dibuthkan suatu kegiatan untuk mengurangi permasalahan yang ada melalui pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh fakultas petenakan Universitas Islam Lamongan dengan mitra Bumdes Desa Lukrejo. Kegiatan dilakukan pada tanggal 02 Mei sampai 27 Mei 2023 yang belokasi di Desa Lukrejo Kecamatan Kalitengah Kabupaten Lamongan Jawa Timur. Metode dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabidan terdiri dari sosialisasi dan perijinan lokasi, penyuluhan pengolahan pakan, dan pelatihan pembuatan pakan berbasis silase. Kegiatan disambut dengan baik dan antusias oleh seluruh masayarakat Desa Lukrejo yang dibuktikan dengan peserta dapat mengikuti langkah demi langkah hingga akhir pelatihan. Terselesaikannya kegiatan pengabdian ini sedikit banyak telah memberikan solusi yang efektif bagi masyarakat setempat yaitu baik masalah pakan ternak maupun eceng godok dapat teratasi

Abstract

The Functional eggs could be used as food for stunting sufferers. Functional eggs could be produced by feed modification using sardines fish oil waste (SFOW) into diets.  This research determined the effect of sardines fish oil waste on the diets of UD Sumber Rejeki. The material used chicken eggs produced by 60 laying hens aged 12 months. The method used in this study was laboratory analysis with a completely randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were mainly fed by adding 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% SFOW. Laying hens were given treatment for 1 month and then the eggs produced were tested for chemical quality which included levels of protein, fat, water, carbohydrates, total energy, and cholesterol. The research data were analyzed using analysis of variance and continued by testing the average smallest significant difference (BNT). The sardines fish oil waste into the diets did not affect the protein, fat, moisture, and carbohydrate content of laying hen eggs, and significant effect on energy total and cholesterol content of laying hen egg. The chemical quality of laying hen egg consist of a protein content was 12.18-12.47%, fat content was 7.79-8.89%, moisture content was 76.45-77.58%, carbohydrate content was 0.93-1.44%, ash content eggs was 0.88-0.94%, the energy total was 125.75-134.54 Kcal/100 gram, and egg cholesterol content was 267.04-365.68 mg/100g egg. Based on the results of this research, the best addition of waste sardine fish oil was 5% to production costs efficient to produce functional eggs in UD Sumber Rejeki for stunting sufferers, especially in the Lamongan Regency

Abstract

ABSTRACT        This study aims to determine the concentration of L plantarum and the best fermentation time to make fermented rabbit meat dendeng based on L*a*b color and texture of rabbit meat dendeng. The material used was rabbit meat dendeng which was fermented using L. plantarum. The method of research was a experiment of laboratory with a factorial randomized block design and repeated 3 times consisting of concentrations of L. plantarum (0%, 6%, 8%, and 10%) and fermentation time (12, 18 and 24 hours). Based on the analysis of variance, it was found that different concentrations of L. plantarum and fermentation time did not have a significant effect (P>0.05) on the dendeng color of L (brightness), a* (redness) and texture, while the concentration of L. plantarum had a significant effect (P<0.05) and the fermentation time was a significant effect (P<0.05) on the color b* (yellow). The mean of L (Brightness) of dendeng was 33.94-35.72, the mean of a* of rabbit meat dendeng was 13.72-14.63, and b* was 12.53-14.83. The mean of rabbit meat dendeng texture was 22.94-25.25 N. The concentration of L. plantarum and the fermentation time that produced the best characteristic L*a*b* color and texture dendeng was 6% with 18 hours of fermentation time.  Key words: Dendeng; Rabbit; Fermentation; Color; Texture

Abstract

Budidaya Maggot dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif pakan ternak ayam dan lele. Saat ini BUMDes Sekar Sejahtera telah memiliki kolam lele serta kandang ayam sebagai salah satu usaha yang dijalankan. Selama ini budidaya maggot tersebut selain dijual langsung, juga dijadikan sebagai pakan ternak ayam dan lele yang dikelola oleh pihak BUMDes. Produk ayam dan lele yang dikembangkan sebagai usaha tersebut telah siap dijual kepada masyarakat luas, namun pengurus BUMDes masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memasarkan produk tersebut. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk menambah pendapatan BUMDEs melalui penguatuan branding produk ayam dan lele hasil pemberian pakan maggot agar bisa memperluas pangsa pasarnya. Metode dalam kegiatan ini yakni penyuluhan dan praktik kepada pengurus BUMDes terkait strategi branding produk melalui penggunaan media sosial. Hasil dari kegiatan ini yakni pengurus BUMDes dapat menggunakan media sosial Instagram dan Facebook sebagai strategi pemasaran produk ayam dan lele hasil pemberian pakan maggot sehingga dapat memperkenalkan produk hasil ternak tersebut kepada masyarakat luas dan diharapkan mampu meningkatkan volume penjualan untuk mendapatkan laba yang maksimal.Maggot cultivation can be used as an alternative to chicken and catfish feed. Currently the Sekar Sejahtera BUMDes has a catfish pond and chicken coop as one of the businesses it is running. So far, besides being sold directly, maggot cultivation is also used as chicken and catfish feed which is managed by the BUMDes. The chicken and catfish products developed as a business are ready to be sold to the wider community, but BUMDes officials are still having difficulties marketing these products. The purpose of this service activity is to increase BUMDEs' income through strengthening the branding of chicken and catfish products resulting from feeding maggot so that they can expand their market share. The method in this activity is counseling and practice to BUMDes management regarding product branding strategies through the use of social media. The result of this activity is that BUMDes administrators can use Instagram and Facebook social media as a marketing strategy for chicken and catfish products resulting from maggot feeding so that they can introduce these livestock products to the wider community and are expected to be able to increase sales volume to get maximum profits.

Abstract

Sekaran Village in overcoming the waste problem by forming TPS3R. An alternative to overcome this waste problem is cultivating maggot, which is used as fodder for chickens and catfish. This study aims to examine the effect of consumer perceptions on chicken and catfish purchasing decisions as a result of feeding maggots. The subject of this research is the people of Sekaran Village, with a sample of 100 people. The analysis used in this study uses index transformation analysis and partial t-test using SPSS 23. The analysis results of individual factor index transformation are 70.73%, stimulus factor is 71.58%, attitude is 55.23%, interest is 71.58%, and motivation is 69.46%. Based on the partial t-test analysis results, the individual factor indicator has a value of 6,930 > 1,985. The stimulus factor indicator has a value of 2,804 > 1,985. The attitude indicator is 4,785 >1,985, the interest indicator is 7,320 > 1,985, and the motivations are 6,184 > 1,985. Keywords: consumer perception, decision purchase, maggot BSF, TPS3R

Abstract

Sekaran Lamongan Village has a progressive business unit in developing the economic sector in the tourism sector, especially educational tourism, which was initiated by BUMDes Sekaran in 2021, namely Educational Tourism “Sekaran Edukasi Maggot (Semaggot)”, which is an educational tourism site for the integration of waste management cultivation with Maggot-Chicken-Lele cultivation. To manage and develop this educational tourism, the Lamongan Regency Tourism Office officially stipulates the Decree on the Establishment of the “Semaggot Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis)”. However, the problems faced at this time are: the need to increase the production capacity of catfish farming, KUB chickens, BSF maggots requires more feed stock. So, it is necessary to add alternative feed from silk worms and requires efforts to market cultivation products based on digital marketing transformation. So, there is a need for training in silk worm cultivation which also utilizes organic waste processing into eco-enzyme as a medium for silk worm growth (green economy). In addition, there is a need for training on the creation and use of e-commerce accounts for members of Pokdarwis Semaggot so that they can expand the marketing network for cultivated products. From this training activity, the participants' level of understanding of the green economy training material increased by an average of 28% and 39% on the material of marketing digitization and the use of e-commerce. In addition, partners can also reduce the capacity of organic waste by 11% which is used as an eco-enzyme. With the addition of silk worm cultivation and the addition of catfish seedlings, the cultivation production capacity has increased by 34%. The net profit of product sales increased from 2022, 2023, 2024 respectively, including 6,784,300, 6,928,000, 7,567,800. Future plans include market research analysis, branding training, content development on social media and other digital platforms, as well as educational activities and events.
