Abstract

nline games are developing rapidly and have an impact on children's behaviour. This study aims to explain the phenomenon of online game addiction from the perspective of psychology, technology, and education. The method is narratively qualitative—data obtained from online focus group discussions. The results of this study explain that online games today tend towards addictive behaviour. This situation is supported by the use of current technology in programming that allows the provision of varied features to increase the game's attractiveness. This addictive behaviour affects other behaviours that can affect the development of attitudes. This behaviour change affects learning performance. The teacher should adjust learning strategies in the digital era to adapt to children's new behaviours today related to online games.

Abstract

Online thematic learning requires creative teachers to prepare practical learning experiences for students, choose basic competence from various learning subjects and arrange them so that learning becomes more meaningful, engaging, and fun. This study aims to analyze the professional competence of teachers in thematic learning at elementary schools. This research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The validity of the data in this study uses triangulation techniques and sources. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation methods. The research subjects were the principal, lower, and upper-grade  teachers. The data analysis techniques used are techniques by Miles and Huberman. The results showed that the professional competence of elementary school teachers in thematic learning is an indicator that is applied, namely the understanding of material, structure, concepts, and scientific mindsets. The subjects are online thematic implementation, mastering basic competency standards, developing learning materials creatively, creating professionalism on an ongoing basis, and mastering information and communication technology have been carried out well with evidence from research data. Thus, teachers already have professional competence in elementary school in thematic learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masalah yang peneliti temui di kelas I SDN 2 Sentolo yakni berdasarkan pretest yang telah dilakukan ditemukan bahwa terdapat 60% siswa masih kesulitan dalam membaca dan berdasarkan praktik mengajar terbimbing ditemukan bahwa proses pembelajaran berlangsung kurang kondusif. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dengan menggunakan metode SAS di kelas I SD Negeri 2 Sentolo. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif (PTK-K). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni observasi, tes dan dokumentasi.  Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif yaitu dengan mencari rerata. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa melalui metode SAS dapat meningkatkan ketrampilan membaca permulaan peserta didik kelas I SD Negeri 2 Sentolo dari pra tindakan, siklus I dan siklus II, data awal presentase kelulusan klasikal sebesar 40% atau 10 peserta didik, siklus I sebesar 72%, dan siklus II sebesar 92%. Dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik kelas I di SD Negeri 2 Sentolo meningkat dengan menggunakan metode Struktural Analitik Sintetik pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Kelompok Tani Melati Green 1 adalah kelompok pemberdayaan perempuan yang berada di bawah naungan Kelurahan Purbayan. Permasalahan yang terjadi Kelurahan Purbayan, antara lain belum optimalnya budidaya tanaman herbal di kelompok tani Melati Grenn 1. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan produk unggulan khas Kerajaan Mataram Islam yang berdampak pada peningkatan pengetahuan dalam budidaya jamu berbasis tabulampot, peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat, pelestarian budaya dan literasi digital menuju eduecotourism. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah sosialisasi dan pelatihan yang dilaksanakan secara luring dengan peserta berjumlah 20 orang. Hasil pelatihan budidaya tanaman herbal antara lain, pembuatan lahan sebagai media edukasi untuk menciptakan Eduecotourism, jenis-jenis jamu khas Kerajaan Mataram. Branding produk yang dilakukan yaitu dengan membuat kemasan produk jamu yang siap dijual dengan desain yang menarik. Digital marketing yang tepat  dilakukan untuk mengenalkan produk jamu lebih luas yaitu dengan melakukan pemasaran melalui online. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh terdapat peningkatan rerata hasil test dari pelatihan yang diberikan. yang telah dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwasannya terdapat peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terkait pembuatan branding produk dan penggunaan digital marketing dalam pemasaran produk secara online.   Herbal plant cultivation training for Farmer Groups Melati Green 1 Purbayan towards eduecotourism   Abstract: Melati Green 1 Farmer Group is a women's empowerment group under the auspices of Purbayan Village. This training aims to create superior products typical of the Islamic Mataram Kingdom, which have an impact on increasing knowledge in Tabulampot-based herbal cultivation, increasing community income, cultural preservation, and digital literacy towards eduecotourism. The method of this community service is socialization and training, which is carried out offline with 20 participants. The results of the herbal plant cultivation training include the creation of land as an educational medium to create Eduecotourism, a type of herbal medicine typical of the Mataram Kingdom. Product branding is done by making herbal product packaging ready to be sold with an attractive design. Digital marketing is done to introduce herbal products more widely, namely online marketing. Based on the results obtained, there is an increase in the average test results from the training provided. It can be seen that there is an increase in community understanding regarding product branding and the use of digital marketing in online product marketing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui efektivitas e-book berbasis blended learning terhadap keterampilan literasi siswa kelas V SD; dan 2) mengetahui efektivitas e-book berbasis blended learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Jenis penelitian eksperimen yang digunakan yaitu Pre-Experimental Design dengan tipe One-Group Pretest-Posttest.  Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan uji prasyarat analisis. Pada penelitian ini sudah dikembangkan e-book berbasis blended learning untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan literasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas V di SD. Selanjutnya e-book berbasis blended learning untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan literasi siswa kelas V di SD divalidasi oleh para ahli (media, pembelajaran, bahasa, materi). Pada penelitian ini e-book yang sudah dikembangkan diuji keefektivan di Sekolah Dasar dalam menumbuhkan keterampilan literasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas V. Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh untuk keterampilan literasi nilai pretest adalah 26,02. Sedangkan rata-rata hitung posttest 37,46 sedangkan untuk hasil belajar diperoleh nilai pretest 65,07 sebesar dan nilai posttest 86,03 sebesar. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwasannya e-book berbasis blended learning terhadap keterampilan literasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas V sangat efektif diterapkan pada proses pembelajaran dikelas.   Exploring the success of blended learning through e-books: A case study in class V of SD Muhammadiyah Ngadiwinatan   Abstract: This study aims to (1) determine the effectiveness of e-books based on blended learning on the literacy skills of grade V students and (2) determine the effectiveness of e-books based on blended learning on the learning outcomes of grade V students. The type of research used in this study is quantitative with experimental methods. The type of experimental research used is a Pre-Experimental Design with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest type.  The data collection techniques used were observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis and prerequisite test analysis. In this research, a blended learning-based e-book has been developed to foster literacy skills and learning outcomes of grade V students in elementary school. Furthermore, experts validated e-books based on blended learning to foster grade V students' literacy skills in elementary schools (media, learning, language, material). In this study, the developed e-book was tested for effectiveness in primary schools in fostering literacy skills and learning outcomes of grade V students. The results of the study obtained for literacy skills the pretest score was 26.02. The average post-test count is 37.46, while for learning outcomes, the pretest value is 65.07, and the post-test value is 86.03. Based on these results, the e-book based on blended learning on literacy skills and learning outcomes of grade V students is very effective in the classroom learning process.

Abstract

Abstract Purbayan tourist village has diverse tourism potential, ranging from religious, cultural, historical, and culinary tourism. These various tourist attractions have an attraction for domestic and foreign tourists. Various tour packages have been developed, including cultural tour packages, craft tour packages, and educational tour packages. Unfortunately, until now, few tourists know about and want to visit these attractions because people still need to learn more about tourist attractions in Purbayan. Various activities can be carried out to attract tourists, including collaborating with various agencies, institutions, schools, and tour travel agents. The problem faced by the management of the Purbayan tourism village is the need for more understanding of the village administrators in preparing proposals to offer cooperation to related parties in educational tourism and other tourism activities. Based on these problems, it is necessary to have training activities in preparing proposals for institutional cooperation offers for the management of the Purbayan tourist village. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase partners' knowledge in preparing cooperation proposals so that there is an increase in the capacity of institutional cooperation. This community service activity was conducted using an offline training method with target partners, namely the management of the Purbayan tourist village, a total of 12 people. This activity is carried out through socialization, training, and evaluation stages. The training activities were held on 12-13 August 2023. This community service activity has gone well and has provided an output or impact in the form of increasing the knowledge of the training participants regarding the preparation of cooperation proposals by 32,5%. Partner knowledge, which was initially 55,83%, increased to 88,33%. With this increase in knowledge, it is hoped that the cooperation of the Purwayan Tourism Village Institute will continue to increase to bring in more tourist visits. Abstrak Kampung wisata Purbayan memiliki potensi wisata yang beragam, mulai dari wisata religi, wisata budaya dan sejarah, serta wisata kuliner. Berbagai tempat wisata tersebut memiliki daya tarik bagi para wisatawan domestik maupun mancanegara. Berbagai paket wisata telah dikembangkan diantaranya paket wisata budaya, paket wisata kerajinan, dan paket wisata edukasi Sayangnya, sampai saat ini masih sedikit wisatawan yang mengetahui dan mau berkunjung ke tampat-tempat wisata tersebut. Hal ini dikarenakan masyarakat masih belum banyak mengetahui tempat-tempat wisata di Purbayan. Berbagai kegiatan dapat dilakukan untuk menarik para wisatawan, salah satunya adalah melakukan kerjasama dengan berbagai instansi, lembaga atau sekolah dan agen tour travel. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh pengurus kampung wisata Purbayan adalah kurangnya pemahaman para pengurus kampung wisata dalam menyusun proposal untuk menawarkan kerjasama kepada pihak terkait dalam kegiatan wisata edukasi maupun kegiatan wisata lainya. Berdasarkan pada permasalantersebut maka perlu adanya kegiatan pelatihan penyusunan proposal penawaran kerjasama lembaga kepada pengurus kampung wisata Purbayan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra dalam menyusun proposal kerjasama sehingga terjadi peningkatan kapasitas kerjasama lembaga. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode pelatihan secara offline dengan sasaran mitra yaitu pengurus kampung wisata Purbayan yang berjumlah 12 orang. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui tahapan sosialisasi, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 12-13 Agustus 2023. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini telah berjalan dengan baik dan memberikan luaran atau dampak berupa peningkatan pengetahuan para peserta pelatihan mengenai penyusunan proposal kerjasama sebesar 32,5%. Pengetahuan mitra yang semula 55,83% meningkat menjadi 88,33%. Dengan meningkatnya pengetahuan tersebut, diharapkan kerjasama lembaga kampung wisata purbayan akan terus meningkat sehingga mendatangkan kunjungan wisata yang lebih banyak lagi.

Abstract

The development of technology today has not been fully followed by various fields of human life, one of which is the world of education. There are still problems faced such as low student learning outcomes, this factor is due to some teachers not fully utilizing technology in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of virtual reality media on the learning outcomes of elementary school students. The type of research used in this study is quantitative with experimental methods. The type of experimental research used in this research is a Pre-Experimental Design with One-Group Pretest-Post-test type. The data collection techniques used were observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis and prerequisite test analysis. The results of this study obtained Pretest scores with an average score of 65.07. Then obtained an average Post-test of 86.03. From the results of the T-test conducted, significant results were obtained. This is evidenced by the Sig. (2- 2-tailed) of 0.000, where the Sig. value is <0.05, so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that virtual reality media is effective on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This case study aims to describe the implementation of gamification in an online BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers) class and to analyze the ability of Danish learners to pronounce Indonesian vocabulary. The study was conducted with six learners aged 9–12 years in an online BIPA class organized by the Embassy of Indonesia in Denmark. Reflective notes and observation guidelines were used as instruments to collect data. Thematic data analysis revealed that gamification using Wordwall was implemented through five types of games: (1) Complete The Word, (2) The Hidden Words, (3) The Pacman Game, (4) Word Puzzles, and (5) Sentence Puzzles. Meanwhile, learners made four types of pronunciation errors: (1) sound addition, (2) sound omission, (3) sound alteration, and (4) code-switching. Based on these findings, further research is needed to determine whether these pronunciation errors also occur when learners write the vocabulary. Comprehensive knowledge of this issue will provide deeper insights into how such errors occur, enabling teachers to develop strategies to prevent recurring mistakes.

Abstract

Introduction: Traffic safety education needs to be taught to children at an early age. Traffic safety training for children in a real-world environment has several challenges and difficulties. Letting children practice in the real traffic environment will expose them to potential hazards. The purpose of this study was to develop media promotion for traffic safety education using a virtual reality (VR) for elementary school students. Methods: This research design used the 4-D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). Data were collected qualitatively by conducting FGDs and interviews, while quantitative data were collected by distributing questionnaires. Results: The traffic safety VR media tested 4 scenarios, namely: driving equipment, traffic lights, how to cross the road, and walking etiquette. The validity test results show that VR traffic safety is feasible to be used as learning media for elementary school students. Students and teachers responded positively to this media. The advantage of this media is that it is fun and interactive for children. Conclusion: Media promotion for traffic safety education using virtual reality can be applied in a wider scope in other elementary schools. Future research can develop more complex scenarios such as cycling, crossing railroad, and many more. The use of virtual reality (VR) in traffic safety training provides an immersive and interactive learning experience, which is more engaging compared to traditional methods.
