Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop web-based learning media to improve reading comprehension of dyslexic students. Dyslexia is a condition caused by neurobiological abnormalities that are characterized by difficulty in  recognizing words accurately in spelling and inability to encode symbols which lead to reading disorder. The research method used is research and development. This research develops web-based learning media called LexiRoom learning applications. The LexiRoom web was trialed to dyslexic students of the fourth grade of elementary school and obtained effective results to help students to have better comprehension of words and sentences within a paragraph.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is reviewing programs that have been made by previous researchers and then analyzed through a theoretical approach. The method used in this study is a systematic review of existing literature reviews. 3 (three) research results were collected from the final project of the Master of Special Education program at the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (Thesis) published in the last 5 (five) years, carried out a systematic review and analyzed through an Ecological theory approach. The results obtained were: 20% of participants in the study were program implementation tests on non-single subjects and 80% used single subjects, 20% used a purely ecological approach and the remaining 80% were programs for optimizing children's growth and development. Ecological contextual frameworks are also discussed, namely Microsystems, Mesosystems, Ecosystems, Macrosystems and Chronosystems. Furthermore, ecological factors were analyzed regarding the relationship between early intervention programs and parenting programs in improving parental skills and optimizing child development. The last part also analyzes the objective conditions of parents who have children with special needs based on the results of empirical research and analyzes family understanding, family treatment, and efforts made by families before and after program implementation. So that making early intervention programs based on family resources does not only focus on children's barriers, but is more complex than that, ecological support is the most important thing in optimizing children's growth and development.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to formulate the model of the family counseling for children with special needs by making parenting stress as a major successful indicator. This research is conducted by qualitative approach through studying the cases deeply in Laboratory of Special Education Department, Faculty of Education, Indonesia University of Education, year 2016. In this research, ML and AH became cases where both of them are the parents of the children with special needs in early age. The result toward the case shows that the parents have already understood their children’s ability and inability but they have not understood their special needs and how to fulfill it. Then the result is they tend to worried and nervous even confused in treating their children related to take them care, their school, and they future. Whereas, the behavior, attitude and some efforts that appear along this time are not productive and harmony enough with their children’s special need even with the demand of their selves and environment, so it does not give significant effect for the children’s improvement and the decreasing parenting stress. However, even the obstacle learning and their children development are complex, but the parents are still optimist and they hope that one day, their children will growth as the normal children. According to that problems, the formula of the model family counseling to early age which is appropriate in reducing parenting stress that are facing by family with special needs children is the model that design by differentiating service by create interpersonal relationship, early intervention setting, group family support service, and home visit as the major pillar, is conducted by interdisciplinary approach and the expert as social support, and counselor’s responsibility as an ahead and coordinator of all given counseling service program. In fact, this model is still hypotetic, so to test its effectiveness have to be tested further.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling program is a component of the school education program that requires close relationships with students as well as the ability to serve students well regardless of their background or condition. In the Guidance and Counselling Department at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, an inclusive education course is given to all students for one semester. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the effectiveness of inclusive education given in one semester for guidance and counseling students. This study used a survey method through Google Form, distributed to students who have studied inclusive education courses at the guidance and counseling department. The result showed that getting an inclusive education course had a positive impact on the student, 91% stated that the method was adequate and duration was sufficient. In addition, students learned more about the importance of inclusive education, which gave them a new perspective about students with special needs that would help them complement knowledge in their field after graduation. Students knew the challenges and opportunities they would experience after graduation. However, the lecture should be improved as the lecture was monotonous and focused more on textbooks and PowerPoint presentations. Besides, the lecturer had not been able to integrate the course with guidance and counseling. Further research with more comprehensive discussion and more respondents to provide more accurate and comprehensive results should be conducted in the future. This study was conducted online so that researchers could not identify respondents’ reactions when filling in the survey, so this can be considered.

Abstract

Penyembuhan supernatural adalah penyembuhan yang berhubungan dengan hal-hal gaib dan mistis. Ini umumnya tidak rasional. Prevalensi penyembuhan supernatural dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, disebabkan oleh persepsi orang bahwa jenis penyembuhan ini dapat memberikan efek penyembuhan yang lebih cepat dan lebih mudah dibandingkan dengan perawatan medis. Artikel ini disintesis melalui penelitian perpustakaan yang mempelajari buku, artikel ilmiah, dan referensi yang relevan karena penyembuhan alami, gelombang otak, dan hipnosis. Buku ini dirancang untuk memberikan penjelasan tentang penyembuhan supernatural berdasarkan teori gelombang otak dan hipnosis. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa metode penyembuhan supernatural dapat dilihat sebagai metode hipnosis atau hipnoterapi, di mana pemulihan pasien ditentukan oleh kemampuan paranormal untuk menjelajahi pikiran bawah sadar pasien dan untuk membawa pikiran pasien ke kondisi hipnosis tertentu, sehingga dia dapat menerima saran penyembuhan tertentu. Penjelasan penyembuhan supernatural sebagai metode hipnosis atau hipnoterapi membuat mekanisme penyembuhan supernatural dapat dijelaskan lebih rasional dan mematuhi kriteria penjelasan deduktif-nomologis penjelasan (model DN). Ini karena pengetahuan tentang hipnosis dapat dijelaskan secara deduktif melalui konsep fisika, kimia, dan biologi. Selain itu, bukti empiris tentang penggunaan hipnosis dalam kehidupan sehari-hari membuat hipnosis mematuhi teori pragmatisme. Kata-kata Kunci : Penyembuhan Supernatural, Gelombang Otak, Hipnosis, Hipnoterapi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran teknologi asistif dalam pendidikan inklusif. Teknologi memiliki potensi besar dalam menyediakan akses bagi semua peserta didik, dan kemampuan untuk mengakses kurikulum pendidikan umum. Sehingga membantu peserta didik berpartisipasi dalam pembelajaran dan tugas yang terkait, mengurangi hambatan dan mempromosikan aksesibilitas dengan mudah dan efisien. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat studi pustaka. Berdasarkan hasil studi pustaka diperoleh gambaran bahwa penggunaan teknologi asistif dalam pendidikan inklusif berfokus pada penggunaan teknologi untuk berlatih, dan untuk membantu dalam proses pembelajara. Teknologi asistif juga memberikan aksesibilitas kepada peserta didik dengan berbagai cara untuk menyelesaikan tugas-tugas mereka dengan lebih mudah dan mandiri yang sebelumnya tidak dapat mereka selesaikan

Abstract

The existence of COVID-19 in Indonesia was officially announced by the president in March 2020 before the virus emerged in Wuhan China. School closure was conducted and the policy of distant learning was officially released by the Ministry of Education. This research aimed to find the challenges that teachers in Indonesia encountered during the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and how teachers overcome the learning process challenges. The study was conducted towards primary school teachers in some provinces in Indonesia through an online survey with close-ended and open- ended questions. Our research findings showed teachers encounter challenges that include the disturbance in teaching and learning regarding accessibility, learning quality, school-home relationship, and technology awareness. Teachers also changed their ways of teaching by sending the learning materials via Google Classroom, WhatsApp (cross-platform messaging), and a few still conducted face-to- face meetings with strict policies.

Abstract

Filosofi pendidikan inklusif adalah pendidikan untuk semua, dimana pendidikan inklusif melayani keberagaman peserta didik dengan ras, suku, adat – istiadat, agama, dan perbedaan lainnya serta anak berkebutuhan khusus. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran keberagaman orangtua dari peserta didik yang menjadi mikrosistem lingkungan perkembangan di salah satu Kelompok Bermain dan Taman Kanak-kanak inklusif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode naratif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah para guru, kepala sekolah, staf tata usaha dan orangtua peserta didik salah satu Kelompok Bermain dan Taman Kanak-kanak di Kramat Jati, Jakarta Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan berbagai alat pengumpulan data, yaitu pedoman observasi, protokol wawancara semi terstruktur dan studi dokumentasi yang akan memudahkan peneliti dalam mengeksplorasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengumpulan, pengolahan dan analisis data di lapangan, latar belakang orangtua peserta didik sangat beragam, mulai dari suku atau etnis, penghasilan, dan pendidikan. Namun dengan keberagaman tersebut, orang tua memiliki kebutuhan yang sama yaitu membutuhkan bantuan dalam peningkatan kapasitas pengasuhan bagi anak-anak mereka.

Abstract

Kelengkapan fasilitas di sekolah menjadi hal penting yang harus disediakan oleh sekolah untuk mengimbangi saat pembelajaran berlangsung, siswa akan sangat terbantu dengan fasilitas yang disediakan oleh sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali sarana dan prasarana sekolah dalam mendukung penyelenggaraan pendidikan inklusif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri penyelenggara pendidikan inklusif di Garut dengan menggunakan metode survei dengan delapan butir pertanyaan untuk kepala sekolah dengan deskriptif kualitatif, dua butir pertanyaan untuk staf sarana dan prasarana dengan pilihan (checklist), sepuluh butir pertanyaan isian untuk guru mata pelajaran serta lima butir pertanyaan isian untuk guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) dengan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan sekolah tersebut sudah mencapai standar nasional dalam sarana dan prasarana untuk menunjang pendidikan inklusif dan mampu dimanfaatkan para siswa dan guru dengan optimal. Untuk pelayanan anak berkebutuhan khusus disediakan konseling individual dengan guru BK yang profesional dalam membantu anak saat pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

This research has been conducted to seek overviews of facilities and students’ responses in supporting the implementation of Raspberry Pi-based bifocal modeling physics practicum. This research was a qualitative case study done in a senior high school in Bandung District, Indonesia. The subjects of this research were two physics teachers and seventy-nine of students enrolled in tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades in the academic year of 2020/2021. The data collection in this research was carried out through observation, interviews, and questionnaire. Observation and interviews activities were focused on laboratory room, laboratory equipment, computer laboratory, and internet facilities to obtain adequate information due to facilities which is potential to support the implementation of Raspberry Pi-based bifocal modeling physics practicum based on the technical specification of the latest Raspberry Pi found in the Indonesian market, i.e. Raspberry Pi 4 Computer Model B. Questionnaire was used to reveal the responses of students in receiving the implementation of Raspberry Pi-based bifocal modeling physics practicum and facilities owned by students which may be used to support the implementation of Raspberry Pi-based bifocal modeling physics practicum. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that: 1) the school facilities are possible to support the implementation of Raspberry Pi-based bifocal modeling physics practicum in terms of facilities due to the computer modeling/ digital part of bifocal modeling physics practicum, 2) most students own smartphones and laptops/ computers which are possible to be utilized as output peripherals for displaying visualized physics phenomena and simulated physics data from Raspberry Pi-based bifocal modeling physics practicum devices, 3) students are willing to accept the implementation of Raspberry Pi-based bifocal modeling physics practicum in physics learning; they consider that such implementation can improve the quality of physics learning, improve the motivation of students to learn physics, and help students to easily understand physics concepts.
