Abstract

Abstract. Electronic aggression has become a growing phenomenon with the advent of social media platforms, including Instagram. Instagram's characteristics include easy access and the ability to speed up communication and information dissemination, which leads to electronic aggression. This phenomenon is highly concerning. One of the factors that may help Instagram users avoid electronic aggression is the internalization of moral values. However, moral values are not always realized in every context of life. As a result, other factors that can strengthen Instagram users' control over electronic aggression are required. This can be achieved, for example, through good self-control ability. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of moral identity on electronic aggression using self-control as a moderating variable. The research used a correlational design, involving 250 Instagram users as respondents. Data were collected using a moral identity questionnaire scale developed by Black and Reynolds; a self-control scale by Tangney, Baumeister, and Boone; and an electronic aggression scale by Bennett, Guran, Ramos, and Margolin. The findings of the research indicate that moral identity and self-control have a negative impact on electronic aggression among Instagram users. Furthermore, self-control ability can increase the effect of moral identity on electronic aggression by 10.7%.Keywords: Moral identity; self-control; electronic aggression; Instagram users.

Abstract

Self-compassion is a trait that helps people to withstand stressful situations. Self-compassion helps people to maintain self-regulation, to interpret the positive side of the problems, and to avoid ego depletion. The purpose of this research is to examine the indirect effect of self-compassion to ego depletion with forgiveness as a mediating variable. Forgiveness selected as a mediating variable because of its ability to play a role as a coping strategy and reduce ego depletion tendency. The researcher believes that the impact of self-compassion to ego depletion increasing if forgiveness included as a mediating variable. This research used a regression technique analysis. Data were collected on 200 students by purposive sampling technique using a self-compassion scale, ego depletion scale, and forgiveness scale. The result shows that the impact of self-compassion to ego depletion decreased without forgiveness as a mediating variable. The researcher concluded that forgiveness was effective as a mediating variable to self-compassion and ego depletion.

Abstract

Sebanyak 210 mahasiswa program studi Psikologi UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung menjadi responden melalui teknik convenience sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner berisi Skala Optimisme, Flow State Scale (FSS), dan Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS).

Abstract

The problem of this research departs from the phenomenon of declining quality of management of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Religious Program (MANPK). There was a decline in the gap from the initial period of establishment of MANPK programs that were truly managed, taken seriously, with strict selection and adequate funding (project supported). While currently MANPK governance is more dependent on the standard implementation guidelines, innovation in each MANPK still occurs inequality between one MANPK and another. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a case study method with a multicluster multiple-case design type on three MANPKs, namely MAN 1 Darussalam Ciamis, MAN 1 Yogyakarta and MAN 1 Surakarta as research subjects. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observation and documentation analysis. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman analysis technique. While the validity test was carried out by conducting tests; credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results of the study found that: a) innovation planning in the form of innovation programs considers various aspects, with the steps of formulating goals, background, implementation, outcomes, benefits and evaluation of innovation programs. b) organizing madrasah innovation by determining goals, allocating programs, compiling program governance and resources. c) implementing innovations in the form of policy socialization, coordination, distribution of superior MAN religious program innovations, actualization of innovations carried out by internalizing superior programs in the curriculum, tutorial programs, self-development and extracurricular programs. d) evaluating madrasah innovation by determining the standards of innovation achievements that are poured into madrasah education standards.
