Abstract

Problems in learning mathematics on aspect communication mathematical oral and write student still low . this _ caused lack of given opportunity to student for argue , present ideas and his opinion in study math . Ability communication mathematical oral could be measured with indicator communication mathematical oral like presentation , discussion , whereas ability communication mathematical writing could be measured with write answer , known from question , what is being asked in question , and give conclusion in settlement question end . Role context and discussion in learning mathematics so important for increase ability communication mathematical oral and write student . Destination from study this is for increase ability communication mathematical oral and write through role context and discussion . Sample in study this is student class VIIE SMP Negeri 3 Base drain Regency Pelalawan Riau Province totaled 28 students . Method in study this is study qualitative . Result from study this is role context and discussion could increase ability communication mathematical oral and writing at a good level . With thereby could concluded that role context and discussion could increase ability communication mathematical good in a manner oral nor write.

Abstract

Abstract. Numerous research has established the impact of mathematical self-efficacy on an individual's ability to successfully solve mathematical tasks. However, according to the need for cognition paradigm, the element of difficulty in mathematics is also connected to both high and low degrees of cognitive function participation. This study intends to evaluate the contribution of one's need for cognition to one's degree of mathematical self-efficacy. 40 students studying at Mathematics Education Department in Sebelas April University Sumedang, Indonesia, participated in this study. The need for cognition and mathematical self-efficacy questionnaires, which used Likert scale scoring, were used to gather the data, which was then analyzed using correlational and regression methods. The findings revealed a significant and strong correlation between student need for cognition and mathematical self-efficacy. In addition, the need for cognition has also been shown to have a significant and positive impact on students' mathematical self-efficacy. This means that a higher level of student needs for cognition will lead to a higher level of mathematical self-efficacy.

Abstract

Abstrak. The success of students learning mathematics depends on their mathematical disposition. Students with a high mathematical disposition have a strong will and determination to learn. They are directly involved in the learning process so students can solve the problems they face confidently. Mathematical dispositions are not born instantly but result from long-term interactions, especially with mathematics teachers, during the learning process at school. This study aims to determine the mathematical disposition of junior high school students in the city of Banjarmasin. This type of research is survey research. The population in this study were students of class IX junior high school in the city of Banjarmasin. The sample in this study amounted to 65 students, with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data collection uses a mathematical disposition questionnaire containing 25 statement items. Descriptive statistical methods analyzed mathematical disposition questionnaire data. The results showed that the mathematical disposition of class IX junior high school students in Banjarmasin was 18.5% in the high category, 63.1% in the medium category, and 18.5% in the low category. As for the indicators of students' mathematical disposition, it shows that the high category is in the appreciation aspect, the medium category is on the indicators of flexibility, curiosity, metacognition, and application, while the indicators of self-confidence and persistence are in the low category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the application of problem solving in the mathematics curriculum in England in 2013 key stages 1 and 2. This research uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to the role of problem solving in curriculum, learning, and evaluation. The results of the study obtained (1) the integration of problem solving development in the mathematics curriculum in England in 2013 key stages 1 and 2, students become fluent in the basics of mathematics, reason systematically and can solve problems by applying their mathematics to a variety of routine and non-routine problems including breaking down problems into a series of simpler steps and persistently looking for solutions; (2) in the learning of mathematics problem solving key stages 1 and 2 in the form of, teachers teaching for problem solving, teaching about problem solving, and teaching through problem solving (3) in the evaluation of mathematics learning in the form of formative, summative, and portfolio assessments.

Abstract

Sebenarnya, pengertian radikalisme berbeda dari cara berpikir radikal. Akan tetapi, seringkali terjadi kesalahpahaman di masyarakat. Dalam perspektif agama, radikalisme berkaitan dengan kelompok atau golongan tertentu yang suka memaksakan kehendak kepada orang lain tentang suatu paham atau keyakinannya, bahkan dengan cara kekerasan dan mengganggu ketertiban umum. Radikalisme juga dapat dipicu lantaran sentimentalisme suku, ras, budaya, dan lain-lain. Berpikir radikal adalah cara berpikir untuk memahami sesuatu sampai ke akar permasalahannya, yang dalam ranah filsafat dikatakan sebagai upaya memperoleh kebenaran sejati, hakikat, sehingga selalu kritis dan analitis dalam menyikapi berbagai macam fenomena. Radikalisme sangat membahayakan keutuhan NKRI, sedangkan berpikir radikal adalah berpikir filsafati yang penting untuk menemukan kebenaran dan mengembangkan keilmuan. Upaya penanggulangan radikalisme sering dilakukan dengan pendekatan militeristik. Pendekatan sastra dan budaya menarik dikembangkan untuk mengantisipasi radikalisme. Oleh karena itu, Taruna Akpol sebagai pemegang estafet kepemimpinan bangsa dan negara di masa depan penting untuk diberikan literasi sastra dan budaya sehingga akan menjadi polisi yang mampu bergandeng tangan dengan kaum kritis, penjaga demokratisasi, tetapi taktis dalam menindak perilaku radikalisme di masyarakat.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pendekatan open-ended terhadap peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Penjelasan tersebut menunjukkan pentingnya melakukan meta-sintesis secara komprehensif tentang pengaruh pendekatan open-ended untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis secara keseluruhan, jelas, dan mendalam. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian dengan jenis meta analisis, dimana peneliti akan merangkum data penelitian, mereview, dan menganalisis data penelitian dari beberapa hasil penelitian yang sudah ada sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pendekatan open-ended terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis, yang ditinjau dari 4 indikator yaitu, mengajukan dugaan, melakukan manipulasi matematika, memberikan kesimpulan, menyusun bukti, memberikan alasan atau bukti terhadap beberapa solusi, serta memeriksa kesahihan dari pernyataan.  Kata kunci: Penalaran Matematis, Open-ended, Meta Sintesis.  Abstract: This research aimed to describe an open-ended approach to improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities. This explanation shows the importance of conducting a comprehensive meta-synthesis regarding the influence of the open-ended approach to improving overall, transparent and in-depth mathematical reasoning abilities. This research method is meta-analysis type research, where researchers will summarize research data, review and analyze data from several previously existing research results. The results of this research are that the open-ended approach is proven to be effective in improving mathematical reasoning abilities, which are viewed from 4 indicators, namely, making conjectures, carrying out mathematical manipulations, providing conclusions, compiling evidence, providing reasons or evidence for several solutions, and checking the validity of statements. Keywords: Mathematical Reasoning, Open-ended, Meta Synthesis.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study analyzes the comparative mathematics curricula between Indonesia and Australia to uncover various aspects of the education systems. The focus is on the similarities and differences between the curricula, systematically examining them in terms of objectives, materials, methods, and assessment, particularly in mathematics. Methodology: This study used a library method with the main data sources coming from 58 articles, 44 books, and 10 official documents in a qualitative descriptive manner. The research data analysis used the Systematic Literature Review method through the following steps: identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion based on keywords, titles, abstracts, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and referenced literature. Main Findings: The mathematics curriculum in Indonesia and Australia at the Junior High School level is almost the same with a few differences, namely the focus on the profile of Pancasila students and providing more specific mathematical knowledge and skills to support the development numeracy and direct further fields of study in mathematics and other disciplines, so that it can add other aspects or components that researchers have never studied regarding the comparison of the mathematics curriculum in Indonesia and Australia. Novelty/Originality of this study: This analytical study of the comparative study of the Indonesian and Australian mathematics curriculum was conducted by citing various sources, namely articles, journals, official curriculum websites, books, and proceedings articles, thus providing a broader study of further studies on the development of the mathematics curriculum in Indonesia and Australia globally.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the newly developed math curriculum taking into account the views of teachers and students. Curriculum analysis is realized in three dimensions; (1) Classroom management – the physical and emotional environment of the classroom, the role of teachers and students, and interactions, (2) Instructions – objectives, planning, implementation, methods and techniques, instructional media, and measurement and evaluation, and (3) Strengths (and benefits) and weaknesses (and limitations). Qualitative case study methods are utilized with literature reviews. The responses collected from the sources are the content that is analyzed. These findings suggest that some changes have been made and reflected in the implementation of the classroom, and the student-centered approach has been incorporated into the instruction. Hopefully, it will be the subject of local government discussion in determining the following education policy. On the other hand, some difficulties arise during implementation due to lack of infrastructure

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation of the body as an archive of trauma and state violence memory in the novel Laut Bercerita by Leila S. Chudori. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method, applying theoretical frameworks from trauma studies, body studies, and memory studies. The findings reveal that the body in the novel is not merely portrayed as a victim of state violence, but also as an instrument of power used systematically to control and subjugate individuals. Furthermore, the body functions as an archive that continuously stores trauma, where experiences of violence persist beyond physical events and remain embedded in bodily sensations. This trauma manifests through somatic responses such as fear, trembling, breathing disturbances, and identity fragmentation, indicating the internalization of violence within the subject. Moreover, the body serves as a medium of collective memory that not only preserves individual experiences but also constructs shared awareness of state violence. The persistence of memory within the body becomes a form of resistance against the erasure of history, positioning the body as a political site of contestation. Thus, the novel demonstrates that the body is a critical arena where power, trauma, and memory intersect, while simultaneously functioning as a medium for preserving collective memory of state violence.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi tubuh sebagai arsip trauma dan ingatan kekerasan negara dalam novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analisis serta memanfaatkan kerangka teori studi trauma, studi tubuh, dan studi memori . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tubuh dalam novel tidak hanya direpresentasikan sebagai objek kekerasan negara, tetapi juga sebagai instrumen kontrol kekuasaan yang bekerja secara sistematis untuk menundukkan individu. Selain itu, tubuh berfungsi sebagai arsip yang menyimpan trauma secara berkelanjutan, di mana pengalaman kekerasan tidak berhenti pada peristiwa fisik, tetapi terus hidup dalam sensasi tubuh. Trauma tersebut memunculkan berbagai respon somatik seperti ketakutan, gemetar, gangguan pernapasan, serta fragmentasi identitas yang menunjukkan internalisasi kekerasan dalam diri korban. Lebih lanjut, tubuh juga berperan sebagai media ingatan kolektif yang tidak hanya merekam pengalaman individu, tetapi juga membangun kesadaran bersama atas kekerasan negara. Ingatan yang tersimpan dalam tubuh menjadi bentuk resistensi terhadap upaya penghapusan sejarah, sehingga tubuh memiliki dimensi politis sebagai ruang perlawanan. Dengan demikian, novel ini mengungkap bahwa tubuh merupakan arena yang menampilkan hubungan antara kekuasaan, trauma, dan ingatan, sekaligus menjadi media untuk mempertahankan memori kolektif atas kekerasan negara. Abstract

  This research investigated the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Quizizz in enhancing students' critical thinking skills and described critical thinking abilities across different learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic). Employing a mixed-method approach with an explanatory sequential strategy, the study initially collected quantitative data through critical thinking tests, followed by qualitative data from learning style questionnaires and student interviews. The population comprised all seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 23 Semarang in the /2025 academic year, with class VII C as the experimental group using PBL with Quizizz (32 students) and class VII A as the control group using Discovery Learning (32 students). Results show that the PBL-Quizizz model significantly improved critical thinking, with the experimental group achieving a higher average score (87.87) and classical completeness (93.75%) compared to the control group (77.46; 59.38%). All learning styles generally met critical thinking indicators, though some students struggled with problem comprehension.
