Abstract

Abstrak. Review artikel ini ditujukan untuk membahas tentang potensi bunga tanaman sukun sebagai antioksidan. Sukun (Artocarpus altilis) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang menjadi kekayaan alam hayati Indonesia. Tanaman tersebut telah dimanfaatkan masyarakat sebagai bahan pangan, bahan peralatan rumah tangga, serta obat tradisional untuk mengobati penyakit rematik, diabetes, penyakit jantung, sariawan, gangguan hati, asam urat, radang sendi, gangguan ginjal, panu, hipertensi, dan menurunkan kolesterol. Bunga sukun mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder golongan flavonoid, tanin dan saponin. Senyawa flavonoid dan tanin merupakan senyawa fenolik yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan, sehingga mampu menghambat proses oksidasi yang disebabkan oleh radikal bebas. Aktivitas antioksidan dapat ditentukan dengan metode antara lain DPPH, ABTS, FRAP, CUPRAC, dan ORAC.Kata kunci : Artocarpus altilis, bunga sukun, antioksidanAbstract. This review article is intended to discuss the potential of breadfruit plant flowers as antioxidants. Breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) is one of the plants that is part of Indonesia's natural resources. These plants have been used by the community as food, household utensils, and traditional medicines to treat rheumatism, diabetes, heart disease, mouth sores, liver disorders, gout, arthritis, kidney problems, tinea versicolor, hypertension, and lowering cholesterol. Breadfruit flowers contain secondary metabolite compounds, flavonoids, tannins and saponins. Flavonoids and tannins are phenolic compounds that have antioxidant activity, so they can inhibit the oxidation process caused by free radicals. Antioxidant activity can be determined by methods including DPPH, ABTS, FRAP, CUPRAC, and ORAC.Key words: Artocarpus altilis, breadfuit flowers, antioxidant

Abstract

Abstrak. Review artikel ini ditujukan untuk membahas tentang metode pembuatan nanopartikel perak dan potensi pengaplikasian nanopartikel perak sebagai bahan antioksidan. Berdasarkan hasil review dapat dinyatakan bahwa nanopartikel perak merupakan suatu logam perak yang memiliki ukuran nano. Nanopartikel perak banyak diaplikasikan dalam berbagi bidang, misalnya optik, elektronik, biologi, katalis, kesehatan, pangan, dan lingkungan. Nanopartikel perak dapat dibuat dengan metode top-down maupun bottom-up. Sintesis dengan metode bottom-up dapat dilakukan melalui reaksi reduksi ion Ag+ dengan penambahan pereduktor. Zat yang berperan sebagai zat pereduktor dapat diperoleh dari ekstrak tumbuhan atau yang dikenal dengan bioreduktor. Bioreduktor dapat dibuat dari ekstrak air atau ekstrak alkohol dari berbagai bagian tanaman. Nanopartikel hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi untuk mengetahui karakteristik kimia dengan spektroskopi UV-Vis dan FTIR dan karakteristik fisik dengan TEM dan PSA. Nanopartikel hasil sintesis dengan bioreduktor memiliki potensi sebagai antioksidan, sebab nanopartikel perak mampu mendonorkan elektron valensinya ke radikal bebas dan capping agent dari ekstrak tanaman mampu mendonorkan atom hidrogen ke radikal bebas. Aktivitas antioksidan dapat ditentukan dengan metode DPPH, ABTS dan FRAP. Berdasarkan beberapa penelitian yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya menunjukkan hasil jika nanopartikel yang dihasilkan melalui reaksi reduksi menggunakan bioreduktor memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang kuat. Hal tersebut yang mendasari banyaknya penelitian mengenai potensi nanopartikel perak sebagai bahan antioksidan. Kata kunci : nanopartikel perak, bioreduktor, ekstrak tumbuhan, antioksidan Abstract. This review article is intended to describe the method of making silver nanoparticles and the potential application of silver nanoparticles as an antioxidant material. Based on the results of the review it can be stated that silver nanoparticles are a silver metal that has a nano size. Silver nanoparticles are widely applied in various fields, such as optics, electronics, biology, catalysts, health, food, and the environment. Silver nanoparticles can be obtained by top-down or bottom-up methods. Synthesis by the bottom-up method can be done through Ag + ion reduction reaction with the addition of a reducing agent. Substances that act as reducing agents can be obtained from plant extracts, known as bioreductors. Bioreductors can be made from water extracts or alcohol extracts from various parts of the plant. Synthesized nanoparticles were characterized to determine chemical characteristics by UV-Vis and FTIR spectroscopy also for physical characteristics with TEM and PSA. Nanoparticles synthesized by bioreductors have potential as antioxidants because silver nanoparticles can donate its valence electrons to free radicals and capping agents from plant extracts can donate hydrogen atoms to free radicals. Antioxidant activity can be determined by DPPH, ABTS and FRAP methods. Based on several studies that have been done previously, the results show that nanoparticles produced through a reduction reaction using bioreductors have strong antioxidant activity. This is the basis of many studies regarding the potential of silver nanoparticles as an antioxidant. Key words: silver nanoparticles, bioreductor, plant ekstract, antioxidant

Abstract

­­Abstrak. Plastik yang berasal dari polimer sintetik menjadi permasalahan lingkungan karena tidak dapat terdegradasi lebih cepat di dalam tanah. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk membuat plastik biodegradable komposit HDPE dengan pati umbi suweg (HDPE-PSW) serta menentukan komposisi terbaik dari campuran HDPE dengan pati umbi suweg yang memiliki sifat biodegradabilitas yang memenuhi standart SNI. Pati diperoleh dari umbi suweg menggunakan metode ekstraksi dengan pelarut air. Proses pembuatan plastik biodegradable dilakukan dengan metode grafting menggunakan pereaksi maleat anhidrida dan bahan pemlastis berupa gliserol. Variasi komposisi massa HDPE dan pati suweg yang digunakan berturut-turut 8:2, 7:3, 6:4, 5:5, dan 4:6 gram. Sifat biodegradabilitas ditentukan dengan metode Soil Burial Test sedangkan gugus fungsi ditentukan menggunakan spektrofotometer FTIR. Dari proses ekstraksi diperoleh pati dengan rendemen 5,25%. Pati diperoleh dalam bentuk serbuk berwarna putih, tidak berbau, sedikit larut dalam air dan etanol, serta menunjukkan hasil positif dengan pereaksi larutan iodium. Hasil uji biodegradasi menunjukkan bahwa plastik komposit HDPE-PSW 6:4 dan 5:5 mendekati standar SNI karena setelah didegradasi selama seminggu menunjukkan persentase degradasi mendekati 60%, yakni masing-masing 58,9% dan 60,6%. Kedua komposisi plastik HDPE-PSW tersebut juga memiliki persentase degradasi mendekati plastik biodegradable komersial Cassaplast (59,4%). Berdasarkan hasil uji FTIR, plastik biodegradable HDPE-PSW memiliki gugus fungsi yang sama dengan plastik HDPE dan pati umbi suweg. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa proses grafting dalam pembuatan plastik biodegradable HDPE-PSW telah terjadi. Kata kunci : Plastik biodegradable, pati umbi suweg, HDPE Abstract. Plastic which derived from synthetic polymers is an environmental problem because it couldn’t easily degradation in the ground. This research is aimed to make the biodegradable plastic composite of HDPE with suweg tuber starch (HDPE-PSW) as well as determining the best composition of HDPE-suweg tuber starch mixture which has biodegradability properties according to SNI standards. Suweg tuber made with ekstraction method which uses water solvent. Biodegradable plastics have been processed using grafting method with maleic anhydride reactant and glycerol plasticizer. The varians mass of HDPE plastic and suweg starch are 8:2, 7:3, 6:4, 5:5, and 4:6 grams. Biodegradability of biodegradable plastics depend on Soil Burial Test method meanwhile analysis of functional group depend with FTIR spectrophotometer. From the extraction process obtained starch with a yield of 5.25%. Starch was obtained in the form of white powder, odorless, slightly soluble in water and ethanol, and showed positive results with iodine solution reagent. The biodegradation test results showed that the HDPE-PSW plastic composite of 6:4 and 5:5 approached the SNI standard because after being degraded for a week showed the percentage of degradation was approaching 60% ie 58.9% and 60.6%, respectively. The two HDPE-PSW plastic compositions also had a degradation percentage close to Cassaplast's commercial biodegradable plastic (59.4%). Based on the results of the FTIR test, HDPE-PSW biodegradable plastic had the same functional group as HDPE plastic and suweg tuber starch. This showed that the grafting process in the manufacture of biodegradable HDPE-PSW plastic had taken place. ­Key words: Biodegradable plastics, suweg tuber starch, HDPE

Abstract

The research aims to describe (1) the main character's adaptation to orang rimba culture; (2) the main character's steps in providing education to the orang rimba in the "Sokola Rimba" novel. This qualitative research uses the theory of Literary Anthropology and Pedagogy. The data source is Butet Manurung's "Sokola Rimba". The data is in the form of story units containing pedagogical literary anthropology elements. Data collection techniques include reading the object of study accompanied by reading theory, making research indicators and data capture tables, and grouping data into data capture tables. The data analysis technique begins with reducing inappropriate data, describing and interpreting the data, and finally concluding the research results. The results of this study are (1) the adaptation carried out by the main character is understanding the local wisdom of the orang rimba, which includes the orang rimba considering the honey tree as a tree of life, the orang rimba believing in natural signs, the orang rimba having skills in obtaining food and saving themselves, and the naming of places by orang rimba; (2) the main character's steps in providing education to the orang rimba include teaching reading, writing, arithmetic, and communicating while maintaining local wisdom.

Abstract

: This study aims to examine the comparison of allegorical symbols in O's novel by Eka Kurniawan and Animal Farm by George Orwell, which includes comparison of symbolic shapes and their meanings. This study was a qualitative research with a comparative literary approach. This data were in the forms of allegory symbols, meaning symbols in the form of words, sentences and paragraphs in both novels. Data sources used were two novels entitled O and Animal Farm, as well as other supporting books. The results of this study indicate that there are similarities and differences in terms of the shape and meaning of symbols in both novels. The shape of the animal symbol is the form that dominates both novels. Based on the meaning, both novels the same describe the state of a country. These similarities and differences are based on the basis of affinity in comparable literature.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project based learning) merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang direkomendasikan dalam kurikulum merdeka karena mampu membekali siswa dengan keterampilan abad 21 serta mewujudkan profil pelajar Pancasila. Tingkat pemahaman dan kemampuan guru kimia di Kota Mojokerto dalam mendesain pembelajaran berbasis proyek masih kurang sehingga diperlukan pelatihan untuk mengatatasi permasalahn mitra tersebut. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan di SMAN 3 Mojokerto, pada hari Sabtu, 28 September 2024, diikuti oleh 25 orang guru kimia. Kegiatan diawali dengan penyajian materi pelatihan oleh Tim PKM, dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan pembuatan desain pembelajaran berbasis proyek melalui diskusi dan presentasi. Pada akhir kegiatan dilakukan refleksi dan pemberian angket. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian terhadap produk desain pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang dihasilkan melalui penugasan secara mandiri, peserta pelatihan telah memiliki kemampuan dalam menyusun desain pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 85,40. Hasil analisis angket menunjukkan bahwa peserta memberikan respon respon yang sangat baik terhadap pelatihan yang telah dilaksanakan.

Abstract

This research is aimed at developing project-based learning teaching materials in research results study courses to improve students' abilities in compiling scientific work. This research is developmental research using a modified Research and Development (R & D) model. This research is limited to the preliminary study stage, which includes literature study, field survey, initial product preparation followed by validation of product by experts (expert judgment) and product revision. The teaching materials developed consist of the lesson plan, student activity sheets, and assessment of project product. The research data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The research results showed that the teaching materials developed, namely the lesson plan, student activity sheets, and assessment of project product were categorized as very valid, with an average validity score of 3.80, 3.81 and 3.66, respectively. Thus, these teaching materials can be implemented in learning research results study courses to improve students' abilities in compiling scientific work.

Abstract

Era endemi Covid-19 menuntut masyarakat untuk menjaga protokol  kesehatan sesuai dengan SOP kesehatan agar terhindar dari penularan Covid-19  dan penyakit menular lainnya. Kebutuhan untuk melakukan 5M salah satunya  mencuci tangan dengan sabun atau dengan menggunakan hand sanitizer sangat  besar. Untuk itu ketersediaan hand sanitizer yang murah dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam berbagai kepentingan dapat membantu masyarakat menerapkan  protokol kesehatan. Untuk itu, Tim PKM bermaksud untuk memberikan pelatihan pembuatan  produk   hand sanitizer berbasis bahan alam bagi masyarakat desa Ngepeh Kec Loceret Kab Nganjuk. Hand sanitizer ini menggunakan bahan alami yang tersedia di lingkungan tempat tinggal mereka, yakni daun sirih dan jeruk nipis. Namun, sebagian masih menggunakan bahan kimia seperti gliserin dan hidrogen peroksida. Dari kegiatan PKM produksi Hand Sanitizer Non-Alkohol berbahan alam ini diharapkan: (1) masyarakat desa Ngepeh Kec Loceret Kab Nganjuk memiliki keterampilan dalam membuat hand sanitizer berbahan tanaman toga, (2) meringankan beban mereka dalam pembelian hand sanitizer, (3) meningkatkan peran warga untuk ikut berpartisipasi di masyarakat dalam membantu memberikan hand sanitizer berbahan alami. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan yang diberikan terkait pembuatan handsanitizer memberikan perubahan pengetahuan khalayak sasaran (kelompok mitra). pengabdian, dan hasil.  Abstract. The Covid-19 endemic era requires the public to maintain health protocols in accordance with health SOPs to avoid transmission of Covid-19 and other infectious diseases. The need to do the 5Ms, one of which is washing hands with soap or using hand sanitizer, is very large. For this reason, the availability of cheap and effective hand sanitizers for use for various purposes can help people implement health protocols. For this reason, the PKM Team intends to provide training in making hand sanitizer products based on natural ingredients for the people of Ngepeh village, Loceret District, Nganjuk District. This hand sanitizer uses natural ingredients that are available in the environment where they live, namely betel leaves and lime. However, some still use chemicals such as glycerin and hydrogen peroxide. From the PKM activity of producing Non-Alcoholic Hand Sanitizers made from natural ingredients, it is hoped that: (1) the people of Ngepeh village, Loceret District, Nganjuk Regency will have the skills to make hand sanitizers made from the toga plant, (2) lighten their burden in purchasing hand sanitizers, (3) increase their role residents to participate in the community in helping provide natural hand sanitizers. The results of the activity showed that the training provided regarding making hand sanitizer resulted in changes in the knowledge of the target audience (partner group).

Abstract

Fairy tales are a means of assistance so messages can be conveyed to children. Indonesia is highlighting stunting. Stunting can be prevented if children and their parents are aware of the importance of nutritious food. Apart from being a basic need for human life, food is also a cultural construction and philosophy of life. Food should have a story about insight or background and goals, one of which is nutrition. The function of events in literary gastronomy in fairy tales is to provide information regarding the actions and events of a story. The presence of an event perspective in literary gastronomy provides an alternative understanding of stories. This study uses a literary gastronomic function research methodology. The source of the data in this study is the fairy tale Princess Lyla the Arrogant by Dyah Umi Purnama which was published in 2019. The data collection technique in this study used the read-note technique. Data analysis techniques are in the form of organizing and sorting data into patterns, categories, and basic descriptive units. Based on these events, it is found that the PLS story has an advanced plot. The main event in the tale is Princess Ghidzai who shows that eating tempeh does not make one stupid. While the supporting events are in the form of opposition from Princess Lyla to tempeh to the queens who provide expensive food. The function of this fairy tale event is to explain the concept of the events and actions of the characters in the fairy tale so that it can motivate readers (children and/or children's guardians) to be more respectful of food, find out food nutrition, and be creative with food

Abstract

This research aims to describe social solidarity in Javanese children's stories in Jaya Baya magazine. The purpose of this research was to describe 1) forms of social solidarity in Javanese children's stories in Jaya Baya magazine; 2) driving factors for social solidarity in Javanese children's stories in Jaya Baya magazine and 3) the value of social solidarity in Javanese children's stories in Jaya Baya magazine.This research uses a collection of 53 Javanese children's stories from several different authors. The entire research data is sourced from the 2017 Jaya Baya magazine in the rubric "crita taman putra". The research data is described using descriptive methods and includes qualitative descriptive research. The collection of children's stories was analyzed using Emile Durkheim's social fact theory study of aspects of social solidarity. This theory study was used to describe the research focus of a variety of children's reading based on children's literature Donna E. Norton. The results of this research describe children's social solidarity in Jaya Baya magazine through three aspects, namely the form of social solidarity, driving factors for social solidarity and the value of social solidarity. The form of solidarity in children's stories in Jaya Baya magazine is described by parents' speeches and actions of children in friendship, family, community and environmental relations. The driving factor for social solidarity is influenced by Javanese ethics which emphasizes respect and harmony. Children's stories in Jaya Baya magazine describe the role of value as a stronghold of the influence of social dynamics, through the value of mutual assistance, the value of mutual cooperation and the value of tolerance. This shows that the results of this research emphasize the existence of patterns of interaction and socialization in realizing social solidarity.
