Abstract

Based on WHO data, vaginal infections every year affect women worldwide, around 10-15 percent of 100 million women. Pathological vaginal infections caused by Bacterial vaginosis (BV), Candidiasis, and Trichomoniasis. Abnormal vaginal discharge is an indication of a reproductive tract infection. Therefore, it is very important for women to make early detection of vaginal discharge that they suffer from. However, many women underestimate the presence of vaginal discharge, this is because women have a sense of shame to carry out their genital examinations at doctors, especially by male doctors. In addition, most women do not like the examination using medical procedures because of the feeling of discomfort with the examination procedure. Because of this, in this expansion research, an ATMega 168-based detection device and an expert system-based application were designed forearly detection of vaginal discharge. The method used in this development research consists of several stages including: 1) needs analysis, 2) design, 3) design of vaginal discharge detection tools and applications, 4) testing, 5) evaluation. The results of this research and development resulted in a vaginal discharge detection tool along with an expert system-based leucorrhoea detection application with the certainty factor method.Berdasarkan data WHO infeksi pada vagina setiap tahunnya menyerang perempuan di seluruh dunia sekitar 10-15 persen dari 100 juta perempuan. Infeksi pada vagina secara patologis yang disebabkan oleh Bacterial vaginosis (BV), Candidiasis, dan Trichomoniasis. Keputihan secara abnormal menjadi suatu indikasi adanya infeksi saluran reproduksi. Oleh karenanya menjadi hal yang sangat penting bagi wanita untuk melakukan pendeteksian dini pada keputihan yang diderita. Namun banyak wanita yang menyepelekan adanya keputihan hal ini dikarenakan wanita memiliki rasa malu untuk melakukan pemeriksaan genitalnya pada dokter terutama oleh dokter pria. Selain itu sebagian besar wanita kurang menyukai pemeriksaan dengan menggunakan prosedur medis karena adanya rasa kurang nyaman dengan prosedur pemeriksaanya. Sebab hal tersebut pada penelitian pembengangan ini dirancang alat pendeteksi berbasis ATMega 168 dan aplikasi berbasis sistem pakar untuk pendeteksian keputihan secara dini. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian pengembangan ini terdiri dari beberapa tahapan diantaranya yaitu: 1) analisis kebutuhan, 2) desain, 3) perancangan alat dan aplikasi deteksi keputihan, 4) pengujian, 5) evaluasi. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan ini dihasilkan alat deteksi keputihan beserta aplikasi pendeteksi keputihan berbasis sistem pakar dengan metode certainty factor.

Abstract

Ecology is one of the subjects that must be taken by undergrduate students. Lecture activities can certainly be hampered if there are no supporting textbooks. The purpose of this research is to provide textbooks that are in accordance with the demands of the curriculum by considering aspects of student needs, according to the characteristics and environment of students, helping students obtain alternative textbooks, and making it easier for educators in the learning process. This research method is Research & Development (R&D). In this study using the ADDIE’s development research model, it’s an appoarch that emphasizes an analysis of how each component interacts with each other by coordinating accordingly to the existing phases. Data collection techniques was using validation questionnaires for experts, individual test and small-scale trials. Data analysis results show that from material experts was 89.0% with the assessment criteria is very feasible, while the validation results by linguists was 71.4% with the assessment criteria is feasible. Readability tests shown percentage of 85.6% with the assessment criteria is very feasible. The product has an advantages and disadvantages which still needed to be revised.

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) memegang peranan penting bagi peningkatan kualitas guru dan pembelajaran di dalam kelas. PTK adalah salah satu jenis penelitian yang fokus untuk memperbaiki kualitas pembelajaran. Dengan melakukan PTK, seorang guru akan mendapatkan data tentang proses pembelajaran sekaligus hasil belajar siswa secara objektif. Pada gilirannya nanti, data-data tersebut menjadi sumber informasi yang penting bagi guru dalam mengevaluasi pembelajaran untuk perbaikan yang berkelanjutan. PTK pada prinsipnya bukan tentang guru, tetapi lebih utamanya adalah tentang proses dan hasil belajar siswa. PTK yang dilakukan oleh seorang guru akan memberikan manfaat yang lebih luas ketika ditulis dalam bentuk artikel ilmiah. Akan tetapi, keterampilan menulis artikel ilmiah menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi banyak guru di Indonesia. Oleh sebab itu, kegiatan pelatihan menulis artikel ilmiah dari kegiatan PTK sangat penting bagi guru. Artikel ini memaparkan serangkaian kegiatan pelatihan bagi guru IPA MGMP Kota Probolinggo untuk menulis artikel ilmiah berbasis PTK.

Abstract

Pengembangan buku suplemen sistem pernapasan manusia berbasis teknologi augmented reality bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah produk bahan ajar IPA SMP kelas VIII yang dapat menarik minat belajar peserta didik dalam menambah pengetahuan yang sesuai dengan tuntutan Kurikulum 2013 yaitu memfasilitasi kegiatan proses pembelajaran siswa pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia. Buku suplemen yang dikembangkan menyediakan sumber belajar berbasis teknologi representatif dengan memanfaatkan peran dari teknologi augmented reality. Peran teknologi tersebut dalam bahan ajar ini yaitu dapat mentransformasikan sebuah objek dalam buku suplemen menjadi lebih nyata dalam bentuk tiga dimensi secara real time. Dengan penggunaan teknologi tersebut memungkinkan dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep-konsep abstrak dalam materi sistem pernapasan manusia menjadi konkrit dan proses pembelajaran berlangsung tidak terbatas ruang dan waktu. Dengan adanya produk ini diharapkan dapat mamfasilitasi peserta didik dalam mengkonstruk pengetahuannya dan menyatupadukannya menjadi sebuah konsep yang utuh dan terpadu. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bersifat diskriprif dan menggunakan metode penelitian studi lapangan di sekolah terkait pembelajaran IPA mengenai sistem pernapasan manusia.

Abstract

Penilaian merupakan suatu proses mengumpulkan dan mengolah suatu data atau informasi untuk mengukur suatu pencapaian dari proses dan hasil belajar. Penilaian dalam pembelajaran merupakan hal yang sangat penting, tanpa adanya penilaian guru tidak dapat mengetahui pencapaian belajar siswa dan tidak dapat mengetahui kesulitan belajar siswa pada suatu materi. Salah satu jenis penilaian pembelajaran yaitu penilaian formative. Penilaian formative memiliki peranan penting dalam mengevaluasi, membentuk kompetensi dan keterampilan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran melalui balikan yang diberikan. Pelaksanaan penilaian formative sering dianggap kurang efektif karena membutuhkan waktu dan perhatian tiap individu yang relatif lama serta feedback atau balikan tidak dapat diterima secara langsung oleh peserta didik. Penggunaan formatif feedback lebih efektif apabila dilakukan dengan bantuan komputer, selain itu penggunaan media dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa yang dapat mempengaruhi peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa pengembangan formative feedback berbantuan komputer dengan butir soal pilihan ganda isomorfik pada materi gelombang untuk siswa SMP kelas VIII yang layak dan valid digunakan sebagai media belajar siswa. Metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif merupakan metode dengan menggunakan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian ini nantinya diharapkan dapat membantu guru dalam proses penilaian hasil belajar siswa dan membantu siswa dalam memahami materi serta memudahkan dalam mengaplikasikan pada soal.

Abstract

Learning objectives can be achieved if students are diligent in learning activities. Student activeness can be assessed through their involvement in study groups, responsibility, and how they express their opinions. Therefore, problem-based learning materials are necessary to train students' thinking skills and to ensure they are active in learning activities. The aim of this research is to develop a student worksheet product based on problem-based learning on the human circulatory system material, to test the product's validity, and to assess the product's practicality. The mechanism used in this research is Research and Development (R&D). Data collection involved respondents from 8th-grade students (n = 130) and science subject teachers (n = 6) for practitioner validation and readability tests. The scope of this research is limited to the feasibility assessment of the Problem-Based Learning student worksheet by material experts, media experts, practitioners, and student readability tests. The teaching materials developed by the researchers include factual problems in daily activities, making them easy for students to understand and supported by videos and articles to comprehend the material. Data analysis shows that (1) the assessment criteria by material experts indicate a valid category with an average of 80.83%; (2) it is considered very valid as evidenced by an average of 90% for media expert assessments; (3) student responses to the worksheet are very good with an average of 95.37%; (4) based on practitioner expert tests, it is stated to be very valid with an average of 94.7%.

Abstract

The challenges of finding interesting and interactive teaching materials is one of the causes of low science learning outcomes. Accordingly, this study formulates valid, practical, and effective flipbook-based e-modules for improving junior high school students' science learning outcomes. The Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model was adopted. Then, the effectiveness of proposed e-modules in improving cognitive learning outcomes through pretest and posttest questions was measured. The garnered data was analyzed using the t-test and N-Gain. The material aspect was declared valid with 87% accuracy, while the media aspect yielded 84% accuracy, falling under the valid category. The practicality test for the e-module conducted by involving the teacher resulted in a 97% score in the practical category. Similarly, the readability test conducted by involving the students resulted in a 93% score in the practical category. The analysis of the test results indicated a significant difference in cognitive learning outcomes before and after using flipbook-based e-modules, with a sig value of 0.000 < a = 0.05. The N-Gain test yielded a value of 0.70 in the medium criteria, placing the level of effectiveness in the moderately effective category. These results suggest that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, facilitated by flipbook-based interactive e-modules in learning activities, can enhance the science learning outcomes of junior high school students.

Abstract

The 21st Century learning requires students to have innovative and creative abilities. In supporting the learning process, the project-based learning model is used through the STEAM approach. This study aimed to develop PjBL-STEAM-based aquascape biogechemical cycle edukit on ecosystem material that are valid, practical, and effective to practice creative thinking skills. This development research used the ADDIE model including: 1) analyze; 2) design; 3) develop; 4) implement; 5) evaluate. Quantitative data was obtained from the value given by the validator, the results of the practicality tests of teachers and students, as well as the results of effectiveness through pretest and posttest questions. Meanwhile, qualitative data was obtained from teacher interview, comments, and suggestions provided by the validator and the teacher on each indicator in the instrument. Data collection techniques was conducted through interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis was carried out using percentage analysis and qualitative descriptive. The results of the material validation were 98% while the media validation were 94.25%. The results of the teacher's practicality test were 100% while students were 89%. The results of pretest and posttest showed a difference. The mean results of the N-Gain score for each indicator were categorized as medium with the highest increase results, namely the elaboration indicator and the lowest increase in the flexibility indicator. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the PjBL-STEAM-based aquascape biogeochemical cycle education is very valid, practical, and effective to be use in 7th graders in ecosystem material to train the creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Problem-Based Learning (PBL) based learning media LKPD for the Digestive System material for Grade VIII Junior High School, and to test the validity and practicality of the product. The development of PBL-based LKPD is expected to assist educators in the learning process. This research is a development research (R&D) using the ADDIE model. The research instruments used are expert validation questionnaires for media experts and material experts, practitioner validation questionnaires given to junior high school science teachers (n = 4), and readability test questionnaires given to 4 classes of Grade VIII Junior High School students (n = 108). This study uses descriptive quantitative analysis for data analysis. Based on the data obtained, the media validation results are 95.24%, material validation results are 87.78%, practicality validation results are 90.16%, and an average score of 84.46% was obtained in the readability test. Thus, the PBL-based LKPD on the digestive system material falls into the category of being very valid and very practical for facilitating learning in education.

Abstract

21st century education requires students to develop thinking skills, one of which is creative thinking. One learning model that can be used to train creative thinking skills is PjBL-STEM with educational media. This research aims to measure the effectiveness of the biocomposter edukit PjBL-STEM based in training students creativity in environmental pollution material. The development model used is quantitative research method which displays details of data collection and analysis to measure the effectiveness of edukit in improving creativity skill. Quantitative data were obtained from media and material validation, teacher and student practicality tests, as well as limited effectiveness tests using the result scores from the pretest and posttest questions. While qualitative data obtained from teacher interviews. Data collection techniques using interviews, questionnaires, and questions. Data analysis techniques were carried out using descriptive qualitative and percentage analysis. The pretest and posttest results in this study showed a difference,  the pretest data with a significance value of 0.219 and the posttest data with a significance value of 0.138. Based on the results of expert validation, practicality tests, and limited effectiveness tests, it can be concluded that the PjBL-STEM based biocomposter is very feasible, practical, and effective for use in class VII environmental pollution materials to train creative thinking skills.
