Abstract

Stunting is a severe chronic nutritional problem that negatively affects children's growth and development so that the appropriate and sustainable nutrition interventions are needed. This research examines the strategy of children's nutrition through the 'SKENA' (Healthy, Creative, and Tasty) MPASI cooking demonstration as an effort to prevent stunting in Liprak Kidul Village. The method used in this research is PAR (Participatory Action Research) which requires researchers to be actively involved in solving humanitarian problems, such as mapping, transect, approach to the community, preparation of work programs, contacting related parties who will be invited to work together in the work program. The results of this activity showed an increase in mothers' understanding of the importance of balanced nutrition for children and their ability to prepare complementary foods that meet nutritional standards. In addition, this activity also encourages the active role of families in supporting the fulfillment of child nutrition. Hopefully, through this intervention, the stunting rate in Liprak Kidul Village can be significantly reduced. Thus, the 'SKENA' complementary food cooking demonstration can be an effective nutrition intervention model that can be adopted by other villages in stunting prevention efforts.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by the dengue virus and transmitted through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. This disease poses a serious threat in tropical regions, including Indonesia. Probolinggo Regency, East Java, experienced a significant increase in DHF cases in 2023-2024, with 315 cases and 18 deaths in several sub-districts. The unkempt environment in Liprak Kidul Village is a major factor in the proliferation of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. This study aims to educate the community of Liprak Kidul Village on the prevention of DHF through healthy and clean-living habits. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) with steps including problem identification, action planning, implementation, distribution of medication, and follow-up. The results of the study indicate that clean village through community service program, education and practice of hand washing, waste management using the 5R concept (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle, Replace, and Replant), as well as education on healthy toilets and the provision of abate powder successfully increased community awareness of the importance of environmental cleanliness and health. However, challenges such as limited resources and lack of community awareness still need to be addressed to achieve long-term success in DHF prevention in Liprak Kidul Village.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the production activities according to AlGhazali. He explained that Al-Ghazali's economic thought can be divided into four main categories, namely the concept of voluntarism and market evolution, production activities, the barter system and the development of money, as well as the role of the state in public financial management. Using a qualitative research method based on literature study, this research analyzes various major literatures such as the book of Ihya Ulumuddin. The results show that in Al-Ghazali's view, production activities must be carried out in stages, involving coordination and cooperation in order to run effectively and efficiently. Production in Islam is not only oriented towards material profit, but also must pay attention to sharia principles, such as justice, honesty, and community welfare. Al-Ghazali divided production into several main sectors, including agriculture, industry and services, and emphasized the importance of managing factors of production such as land, labor, capital, technology and management. Healthy competition is allowed to encourage innovation by avoiding usury, fraud and injustice, and the principles of sharia for the welfare of society and the pleasure of Allah
