Abstract

This aims of this research are to determine the relationship of student micro teaching-learning achievement with student readiness to be a teacher.  An educational internship experience is essential to be analyzed as being a teacher.  The study population was 69 active students. Fifty-eight students taken as samples were determined by simple random sampling technique. The documentation method is used to analyze micro teaching and PPL learning achievement variables. The variable readiness to become a teacher is obtained through the questionnaire method. Various tests were carried out with the help of the SPSS Version 21.0 program. Normality tests, linearity tests, and multicollinearity tests were carried out as test prerequisites. The data analysis technique uses partial correlation and multiple linear regression with a significance level of analysis of 5%. The results of the study show that the student learning achievement of microteaching on the readiness to be a teacher has a positive and significant relationship. Student Internship experience influences the readiness to be a teacher. The learning achievement of microteaching and Student Internship experience is considered to make big effect for being a teacher.  Keywords: Learning achievement in Microteaching, learning achievement in Field Experience Program, preparedness to become teachers

Abstract

This research is aimed to invesitage : (1) the possibility effect of CDI racing use to power, torque, and fuel consumption for 110CC of Honda Vario motorcycle produced in 2010, (2) the possibility use of fuel to power, torque, and fuels consumption for 110CC Honda Vario motorcycle produced in 2010, and (3) the possibility effect of CDI racing use and kind of fuels to power, torque, and fuel consumption for Honda Vario 110CC motorcycle produced in 2010. The method used in this research was experimental, by applying descriptive data analysis.Honda Vario110CC motorcycle produced in 2010 was as a sample of this research. The independent variables in this research are CDI racing, CDI standard, RON 88 premium, RON 90 pertalite, and RON 92 pertamax. The dependent variables are power, torque, and fuel consumption. The findings indicate: (1) There is an effect of CDI racing use to Honda Vario110CC motorcycle produced in 2010. The use of CDI racing is able to increase the power to 0,16 HP or 2%, and the torque to 0,01 N.m or 0,08%, it decreses the fuel consumption to 16 ml/km or 22 ,86%, (2) There is an effect of fuel use to Honda Vario 110CC motorcycle produced in 2010. The fuel use of RON 92 pertamax to this kind of motorcycle is able to increase the power to 0,06HP or 0,75% and the torque to 0,2 N.m or 1,74%, it reduces the fuel of consumption to 4 ml/km or 10,71%, (3) There is an effect of CDI racing use and kind of fuels to Honda Vario110CC motorcycle produced in 2010. The use of CDI racing and RON 92 pertamax for this kind of motorcycle is able to increase the power to 8,33 HP andthe torque to 11,70 N.m, with the reduction of fuel consumption to 17,33 ml/km.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are (1) Knowing and obtaining the results of the investigation of the effect of variations in spark plug types on exhaust emissions of HC, CO, CO2 and O2 on Beat FI 2016 motorbikes (2) Knowing and obtaining the results of investigating the effect of variations in fuel on exhaust emissions HC, CO, CO2 and O2 on Beat FI 2016 motorbikes (3) Knowing and obtaining the results of the investigation of the effect of spark plug types and fuel variations on exhaust emissions of HC, CO, CO2 and O2 on Beat FI 2016 motorbikesThis research uses descriptive quantitative research with experimental research methods. Measurement of exhaust emissions in accordance with SNI 09-7118.3-2005. The population in this study was a Honda Beat FI motorcycle. The sample in this study was a Honda Beat FI motorbike in 2016. The data collection technique was using purposive sampling. The research was conducted at Dishubkominfo Surakarta city using the gaz analyzer technotest.Results of this research is (1) The use of a combination of pertalite fuels and iridium plugs generates the lowest HC rate of 118.67 ppm or a decrease of 32.58% (2) The use of pertalite fuel with platinum plugs decreases by producing the lowest CO rate of 0.487% or decrease 3.31% (3) pertamax fuel with standard plugs resulted in the lowest CO2 exhaust emission of 10.5% with a difference of 2.27 or decrease 17.75% (4) use of pertalite fuel with standard plugs capable of producing O2 exhaust gas emissions of 1.057% or the lowest.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine: (1) The effect of Ferrite Bead on CO and HC exhaust gas emission on the Yamaha Soul GT 2012 motorcycles; (2) The effect of the use variations of the spark plugs type on CO and HC exhaust gas emission on the Yamaha Soul GT 2012 motorcycles; (3) The interaction of the effect of  Ferrite Bead and variations of spark plugs type on CO and HC exhaust gas emission on the Yamaha Soul GT 2012 motorcycles.This research a quantitative type using experimental methods. The data analysis technique descriptive analysis. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of the Surakarta City Transportation Office located at Jl. Menteri Supeno No.7, Manahan, Banjarsari, Surakarta. The tool for measuring CO and HC exhaust gases is the KOREA IYASAKA brand gas analyzer (TYPE AET-4000Q). The subject in this research was the  Yamaha Soul GT 2012 motorcycle. From the results of the research, it can be concluded: (1) The use of Ferrite Bead can reduce levels of CO and HC exhaust gas emission on Yamaha Soul GT 2012 motorcycle. The test results without the use of Ferrite Bead produced CO emission levels of 0.61% and HC of 122.67 ppm. Whereas in testing the use of Ferrite Bead near spark plugs obtained CO emission levels of 0.53% and HC of 101 ppm, and on testing the use of Ferrite Bead near the coil obtained CO emission levels of 0.60% and HC of 122.67 ppm; (2) The use of variations of the spark plugs type can reduce levels of CO and HC exhaust gas emission on Yamaha Soul GT 2012 motorcycle. The results of testing using Standard spark plugs (C7HSA) produce CO emission levels of 0.61% and HC of 122.67 ppm. While testing using Platinum spark plugs (CR7HGP) obtained CO emission levels of 0.59% and HC of 131.33 ppm, and testing using Iridium spark plugs (NGK CR6HIX) obtained CO emission levels of 0.60% and HC of 93.67 ppm; (3) Interaction of the use of Ferrite Bead and variations of the spark plugs type can reduce levels of CO and HC exhaust gas emission on Yamaha Soul GT 2012 motorcycle. Test results show the lowest levels of CO and HC exhaust gas emission, namely the use of Ferrite Bead near the spark plug and the use of Iridium spark plugs ( NGK CR6HIX) with the lowest exhaust gas emission results, namely 0.45% for CO and 80 ppm for HC.

Abstract

Motor performance is one of the things that must be considered in motorized vehicles. Motor performance also influences the type of exhaust system, namely the muffler. Many people don't know how big the influence of the exhaust free flow on engine performance. In this study using Yamaha Nmax Old 2016. The aims of this study were: (1) To find out the difference in torque and power produced by a motorbike between the use of a standard NMAX 155 CC exhaust and a standard exhaust free flow. (2) Knowing the difference in fuel consumption produced by motorcycles between the use of a standard NMAX 155 CC exhaust and exhaust free flow. (3) Knowing the difference in exhaust emissions produced by motorbikes between the use of the standard NMAX 155 CC exhaust and the exhaust free flow. The research method used is experimental. The data for this study were obtained by measuring a sample of the Yamaha NMAX Old 2016 motorcycle. The independent variables were the standard exhaust and the exhaust free flow. The dependent variables are torque, power, fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. The data obtained were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques by describing them in the form of graphs and tables. The results of this study are: (1) Use of Muffler free flow has a lower effect on the torque and power generated by the Yamaha NMAX Old 2016 motorcycle. (2) Use of Muffler free flow has a higher effect on fuel consumption produced by Yamaha NMAX Old 2016 motorbikes. (3) Use of Muffler free flow has an influence on increasing levels of exhaust emission content produced by Yamaha NMAX Old 2016 motorbikes.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to determi ne the quality of: (1) Context of the Industrial Practice Program, comprise (a) the objectives of Industrial Practices, (b) the vision and mission of the Study Program, (c) the condition of students, (d) the condition of the Study Program; (2) Input of the Industrial Practice Program, comprise (a) preparation before implementing of the Industrial Practices; (3) Process of the Industrial Practice Program, comprise (a) the role of students, (b) the role of supervisors, (c) the role of industry advisers, (d) the role of industry employees; (4) Product of the Industrial Practice Programs, comprise (a) student skills, (b) practical knowledge, (c) student personality, (d) innovative student experience, (e) student satisfaction, (f) industry satisfaction. The population of the research ware students of Mechanical Engineering of Education Study Program Sebelas Maret University and industry. The sample of the research using purposive sampling technique were automotive industry and automotive concentration students of mechanical engineering of education was implementing the Industrial Practice for 2017 and 2018 periods. This research using an evaluative method with CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) design. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews. The validity technique in this research is logic validity. The data analysis technique of this research is average analysis which was assessed based on the research criteria. The results showed that: (1) Context of the Industrial Practice Program classified as high, comprise (a) the objectives of the Industrial Practice, (b) the vision and mission of the Study Program, (c) the condition of students, (d) the condition of the Study Program;(2) Input of the Industrial Practice Program classified as high, comprise (a) preparation before implementing of the Industrial Practices; (3) Process of the Industrial Practice Program classified as high, comprise (a) the role of students, (b) the role of supervisors, (c) the role of industry advisers,(d) the role of industry employees; (4) Product of the Industrial Practice Program classified as very high, comprise (a) student skills, (b) practical knowledge, (c) student personality, (d) innovative student experience, (e) student satisfaction, (f) industry satisfaction.

Abstract

In the current era, the transportation is growing rapidly. It has an impact such as air and noise pollution. Carbon monoxide is one of the dangerous pollutants. While the noise comes from the sound of the vehicle engine, horn, and exhaust. Slamet Riyadi street Surakarta is a protocol road that has a high level of vehicle density. So it is necessary to conduct research with the aim of knowing the effect of motor vehicle density on carbon monoxide concentrations and noise levels. The results showed that the concentration of Carbon monoxide on Slamet Riyadi street Surakarta in the morning and evening exceeded the quality standard of 16038.26 µg/Nm3and 16141.58 µg/Nm3. During the day it is still below the quality standard, which is 9425.86 µg/Nm3. Meanwhile, the daytime noise level on Slamet Riyadi street Surakarta which is calculated by the Leq formula also exceeds the quality standard of 82.33 dBA.

Abstract

Indonesia has the potential for water energy that can be utilized as a pico-scale hydroelectric power plant or PLTPH. Water is a renewable energy (EBT) which has the potential to be developed in Indonesia due to the geographical conditions that have a lot of water in mountainous areas as well as irrigation for residential areas. Water turbines can convert water energy into electrical energy. One type of turbine that can be utilized is a crossflow water turbine. This study aims to determine the effect of the number of blades with the use of a nozzle on the power and efficiency of the turbine produced by the crossflow water turbine. The study used experimental methods, the data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Variations in the number of blades used in the study were blades with a total of 18 blades, 20 blades, and 22 blades, as well as variations in the angle of attack of the nozzle used, namely 20⁰, 25⁰, 30⁰, 35⁰, and 40⁰. The results showed that there was an effect of using the number of blades and nozzle diameter. The power and efficiency of the turbine fluctuate based on the water discharge. The highest data was obtained at a water discharge of 25.33 l/m, namely using a number of 22 blades using a nozzle diameter of 7 mm to produce 9.47 watts of electric power with an efficiency of 58%.

Abstract

The availability of fossil fuels in Indonesia has recently been running low due to exaggerated use of the fuel. To fulfill the electrical energy needs of the community which more environmentally friendly used, wind turbines can be used. In this study, researchers use a micro-scale horizontal axis wind turbine from wood and composite materials on the blades, where it try to determine the effect of each performance. This study uses an experimental method which is carried out at the Wind Tunnel Laboratory of the Mechanical Engineering Education, Sebelas Maret University. The variables are blades with a variety of composite and wood material. Performance of electrical power is investigated in this research. Data shows that the wind speed 5m/s - 6m/s composite without load produces the highest rotate, which is 544.64 rpm. While, wood material take lower at 494.2 rpm. The wind turbine is driven at 5 m/s – 6 m/s by using 12V of load. It produces 367.68 rpm and 6.771 watts for composites, and 303.6 rpm and 5.047 watts for wood. So it can be concluded blade materials could effect to the turbine performance.
