Abstract

Layanan data dan kualitas sinyal merupakan salah satu hal yang sangat penting pada sistem komunikasi, khususnya di Bandar Udara (Bandara) Internasional Jawa Barat terutama di terminal check-in keberangkatan dan boarding lounge keberangkatan domestik. Pada Tugas Akhir ini, dilakukan perencanaan jaringan indoor LTE di terminal check-in keberangkatan dan boarding lounge keberangkatan domestik Bandara Internasional Jawa Barat (BIJB). Metode perencanaan jaringan dilakukan dengan perhitungan berdasarkan coverage planning dan capacity planning dengan model propagasi Cost-231 Multiwall, setelah didapatkan model perancangan kemudian dilakukan simulasi ke dalam software Radiowave Propagation Simulation (RPS) 5.4. Dari hasil perencanaan berdasarkan coverage planning dan capacity planning diperoleh hasil untuk area checkin keberangkatan nilai RSRP sebesar -89.48 dBm dan SIR sebesar 0 dB dengan persentase RSRP sebesar 73.88%. Sedangkan untuk area boarding lounge keberangkatan domestik diperoleh hasil nilai RSRP sebesar -100.94 dBm dan SIR sebesar 0 dB dengan persentase RSRP sebesar 69% sehingga telah memenuhi standar KPI yaitu nilai RSRP dibawah -90 dBm dan nilai SIR dibawah 0 dB untuk 90% area. Throughput yang dihasilkan untuk arah uplink sebesar 40.435 Mbps dan untuk arah downlink sebesar 33.695 Mbps, sedangkan untuk pemilihan jumlah sel untuk area boarding lounge dan area check-in sama-sama menggunakan 1 buah sel.Kata Kunci: Picocell, RSRP, SIR, Throughput, Cost-231 Multiwall.

Abstract

We propose transmission media with visible light to communicate between vehicles. We evaluate the research under four scenarios using the modulation of On-Off Keying Non-Return to Zero (OOK-NRZ) and bitrate up to 1 Gbps. These scenarios are (i) ideal conditions, (ii) interference from other vehicle lights, (iii) foggy conditions, and (iv) interference from vehicles and fog conditions. Based on the extensive simulation, the results obtained are that interference and fog conditions can affect and reduce the value of the signal to interference and noise ratio (SNR) and increase the value of the error rate (BER). The SNR value in the first scenario is 23.6 dB and the second scenario is 11.1 dB, where this value is still sufficient. The SNR in scenario three is 16.1 dB, and the lowest in the fourth scenario is -7.78326 dB, indicating that the noise is extensive compared to signal power. In addition, we also obtain an optimal distance of communication between vehicles for each scenario sequentially 14.5 m, 13 m, 11.5 m, and 9 m.

Abstract

The performance of Power Domain Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (PD-NOMA) is affected by the performance of Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) in decoding user data. The large number of users will cause error propagation in SIC, which results in decreased SIC performance. This research aims to optimize the performance of SIC in PD-NOMA by applying spatial concepts to classify users. This research applies various supervised machine learning classification algorithms, including Decision Tree, K-Nearest Neighbors (K-NN), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random Forest, Logistic Regression, and Naive Bayes. The experimental results show that Random Forest achieves the highest accuracy in classifying users, followed by Decision Tree. In addition, in performance measurement using ROC (Receiver Operating characteristic) and AUC (Area under the Curve) curves, the Random Forest method achieved the best results. In terms of experimentation process time, a decision tree has a faster time compared to a random forest. Overall, the Random Forest algorithm is suitable for the task of user clustering in the context of PD-NOMA, which utilizes the spatial concept from user to base station (BS).

Abstract

PKBM atau Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat merupakan lembaga pendidikan non-formal di Indonesia yang memberikan akses pendidikan dan pelatihan kepada masyarakat. PKBM berperan dalam memberdayakan masyarakat dengan meningkatkan kemandirian, partisipasi, kesadaran sosial, dan kesempatan kerja. PKBM Walidayna merupakan salah satu PKBM di Kota Medan yang menyediakan program kejar paket A, B, dan C bagi anak-anak putus sekolah. Meskipun PKBM Walidayna memiliki potensi pemberdayaan, pihak Walidayna menghadapi keterbatasan sumber daya, terutama dalam hal media informasi. Oleh karena itu, solusi yang ditawarkan adalah pembuatan website PKBM dan pelatihan bagi pengurus PKBM dalam mengoperasikan website. Metode yang diusulkan meliputi perencanaan kegiatan PKM, pelaksanaan pembuatan website dan pelatihan penggunaannya, serta observasi dan evaluasi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas kegiatan. Hasil Implementasi Website Media informasi bagi PKMB Walidayna dapat diakses pada laman https://yayasanwalidayna.id/. Dari umpan balik yang diperoleh dari peserta pelatihan yang merupakan pengelola PKBM Walidayna, disimpulkan bahwa website yang telah dikembangkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan PKBM Walidayna. Para pengelola merasa puas dengan tampilan yang menarik dan kemudahan penggunaannya.

Abstract

Utilizing of 5G technology has become a major focus in the development of more advanced and efficient telecommunications networks. In this context, 5G coverage prediction becomes an important aspect in network planning to ensure optimal user experience. In this study, we explore the use of Random Forest algorithm to predict 5G coverage, with special emphasis on the hyperparameter optimization process to improve model performance. We conduct experiments with various hyperparameter combinations, including 'max_depth', 'max_features', 'min_samples_leaf', 'min_samples_split', and 'n_estimators', using hyperparameter optimization techniques. The results show that by paying attention to the optimal combination of hyperparameters, we managed to significantly improve the performance of the model. The optimized model produces a Minimum Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of 0.6, which is much better than the Random Forest model without hyperparameter optimization which has an RMSE of 1.14. The result of this study confirms the importance of the hyperparameter optimization process in improving the accuracy and consistency of the Random Forest model for 5G coverage prediction. The results have important implications in supporting the development of a successful 5G network infrastructure in the future.

Abstract

This study tackles the growing challenge of inter-user interference in Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) systems, particularly as user density increases in modern communication networks. The primary objective is to improve system performance by implementing a downlink sectorization strategy, which groups users into distinct sectors to manage interference and optimize resource allocation. A Sequential Power Allocation (SePA) algorithm was introduced to enhance power distribution within sectors, aiming to maximize both user capacity and overall sum rate. The methods employed included detailed simulations comparing the performance of traditional NOMA systems and those incorporating sectorization. The results demonstrate that sectorization can significantly boost the system’s sum rate by up to 25% and reduce decoding errors by as much as 51%, particularly when the number of users per sector is kept under 20. However, performance saturation occurs beyond this threshold, where additional users do not contribute to further improvements. The novelty of this research lies in applying spatial sectorization to NOMA, showing that spatial sectorization can minimize intra-sector interference, improve power efficiency, and maintain reliable communication in high-demand environments such as the Internet of Things (IoT). Abstract

Pada paper ini akan dibahas pengalokasian daya pada sistem pembagian beberapa frekuensi secara ortogonal (OFDMA). Tanpa menggunakan skema pengalokasian daya maka daya yang dialokasikan kepada pengguna tidak akan effisien, sehingga diusulkan penambahan skema pengalokasian daya pada proses alokasi sumber daya kepada pengguna. Pada proses pengalokasian resources block diusulkan menggunakan algoritma greedy yang memiliki kompleksitas yang rendah dan pengalokasian daya menggunakan skema waterfilling. Langkah pertama adalah pengalokasian kanal dengan algoritma greedy yaitu dengan memilih resources block (RB) yang memiliki nilai informasi kanal (CSI) tertinggi dan didapatkan skema equal power allocation (EPA). Selanjutnya akan dilakukan pengalokasian daya dengan skema waterfilling, skema tersebut mengalokasikan daya lebih besar kepada pengguna yang memiliki kualitas kanal yang buruk sehingga pengguna bisa melakukan komunikasi secara baik. Dari hasil simulasi didapatkan penurunan nilai efisiensi spektral sistem sebesar 0.2128 bps/Hz - 0.2147 bps/Hz jika menggunakan skema waterfilling dibanding pengalokasian daya skema equal power allocation. Maka dari itu skema yang diusulkan bisa diimplementasikan pada jaringan LTE.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the management of Empoasca pests in tea cultivation, a critical sector for Indonesia’s economy, by developing an innovative detection method. The challenge of pest infestations may significantly reduce tea production yields, and the misuse of chemical pesticides further compromises tea quality. We propose a novel approach that integrates multispectral imaging with Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), specifically employing ResNet-50 and AlexNet architectures to accurately detect Empoasca infestations. We begin with the data collection process, followed by the development of the preprocessing model and evaluation of its performance. We classify tea leaves affected by Empoasca pests using spectral data obtained from a multispectral camera operating across Green, NIR (Near Infrared), REG (Red Edge), and RED channels. We evaluated various spectral channels and identified the green spectrum as the most effective for revealing visual characteristics, such as curled leaves associated with Empoasca damage. Experimental results demonstrated that ResNet-50 outperformed AlexNet, achieving a remarkable accuracy of 99% on the green channel, while AlexNet showed notable accuracy declines on other channel combinations. These findings underscore the effectiveness of the green spectrum and the superiority of ResNet-50 in achieving precise pest detection, offering a reliable technological solution for modern tea plantation management.
