Abstract

This paper proposes two strategies for handling conflict schedule of two meetings which invite the same member of personnel at the same time through host-to-host negotiation scheme. The strategy is to let the member attend the other meeting under the condition that the group decision regarding the schedule is not changed and meeting quorum is fulfilled, namely release strategy. Other strategy is to substitute the absent personnel in order to keep the number of attendees above the quorum, namely substitute strategy. This paper adapts a mechanism design approach, namely Clarke Tax Mechanism, to satisfy incentive compatibility and individual rationality principal in meeting scheduling. By using a release strategy and substitute strategy, colliding meetings can still be held according to the schedule without the need for rescheduling. This paper shows the simulation result of using the strategies within some scenarios. It demonstrates that the number of meeting failures can be reduced with negotiation.

Abstract

This paper presents a different scheme of meeting scheduling negotiation among a large number of personnel in a heterogeneous community. This scheme, named Host-to-Host Negotiation, attempts to produce a stable schedule under uncertain personnel preferences. By collecting information from hosts’ inter organizational meeting, this study intends to guarantee personnel availability. As a consequence, personnel’s and meeting’s profile in this scheme are stored in a centralized manner. This study considers personnel preferences by adapting the Clarke Tax Mechanism, which is categorized as a non manipulated mechanism design. Finally, this paper introduces negotiation strategies based on the conflict handling mode. A host-to-host scheme can give notification if any conflict exist and lead to negotiation process with acceptable disclosed information. Nevertheless, a complete negotiation process will be more elaborated in the future works.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a global health problem that can affect anyone, from children, adolescents, to adults. Therefore, diabetes is one of the non-communicable diseases that has become a serious threat to global health. Since 1980, the number of diabetics worldwide has nearly doubled from 4.7% to 8.5% of the total population. The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) even estimates that the number of diabetes sufferers worldwide will reach 700 million people by 2045. In response to this condition, this study predicts diabetes diagnosis using machine learning algorithms, artificial neural network. However, there is a major problem with this algorithm, namely in determining the correct architecture. This problem can be viewed as an optimization problem, where many architectural possibilities that can occur. Therefore, to search for the right architecture to increase the accuracy of the predictions, there will be stages to use the evolution algorithm. Because this algorithm is very suitable to be applied in an optimization case. This study implements Evolving Artificial Neural Network (EANN) algorithm to predict the patient's diagnosis. It is with the hope that this study can produce higher accuracy in predicting patient diagnosis in diabetes. The data set used was Pima Indian Diabetes from the UCI Machine Learning Repository. Based on the experiments that have been carried out, the best model produced has an accuracy of 83.55%. This means that the algorithm used is quite successful in predicting diabetes diagnosis.

Abstract

Menghafal Alquran bukanlah suatu perkara yang mudah, akan tetapi jauh lebih sulit menjaga dan mempertahankan hafalan yang sudah ada. Proses menghafal Alquran selain dilakukan dengan tatap muka langsung dengan guru tahfidz, perlu juga dilakukan secara mandiri. Salah satu cara alternatif yang dapat membantu proses menghafal secara mandiri adalah dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak berbasis mobile. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah game edukasi sebagai cara alternatif yang dapat membantu menghafal dan mengulang kembali ayat yang dihafalkan menjadi menyenangkan. Rancangan perangkat lunak yang akan dibuat adalah dengan mengombinasikan unsur game dan metode hafalan yang menggunakan kata awal ayat Alquran. Proses menghafal ayat Alquran dilakukan dengan cara menebak kata awal ayat Alquran yang dimunculkan secara acak pada game beserta pencocokan secara otomatis menggunakan kata kunci. Kata awal ayat Alquran dibangkitkan menggunakan algoritma fisher yates sebagai pembangkit bilangan acak. Fisher yates diterapkan pada pengacakan soal dan posisi jawaban. Hal ini dilakukan agar soal dan jawaban memiliki urutan yang berbeda dengan sebelumnya. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi mobile Murajaah telah memenuhi fitur-fitur dalam penerapan metode menghafal Alquran serta dapat membantu pengguna dalam menghafal Alquran.

Abstract

Research is a mandatory activity for lecturers at the Indonesian Education University. The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) oversees these research activities. Before research can commence, the research proposal must be tested or reviewed by an Examining Lecturer (reviewer). Reviewers are selected based on the similarity between the researcher's and the reviewer's variables and the availability of the reviewer's quota. This selection process utilizes the Term Frequency Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) and Cosine Similarity methods to measure the similarity between queries and documents, specifically abstracts and scientific fields. This approach results in reviewer recommendations with an accuracy of 83.3%, as validated by experts.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the researcher's concern about the difficulty of informatics subjects at the junior high school level. Moreover, when examined, hardware material is a challenge for teachers and students in carrying out learning in the classroom. In some places, student motivation and learning outcomes in understanding hardware material tend to be low. The purpose of this study is to develop Augmented Reality learning media on learning informatics hardware material in class VII junior high school. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) which uses the Brog & Gall research model with 10 models, then simplified into 3 major steps which will be implemented in the development procedure process by adopting the results of Sukmadinata's R&D model simplification. Testing the feasibility of development, it was tested with the results of a media expert assessment of 81.25% very feasible criteria. While the material expert assessment with a score of 81.82% is very feasible. The results of the implementation of student respondents on a limited scale were 76.42% of the interesting category and a wide scale of 84.11% of the very interesting category. So it can be concluded through the results of expert validation, limited scale trials and wide scale trials, that augmented reality as learning media is feasible to use as a learning tool during the learning process

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian minat pemilihan program keahlian pada siswa kelas 11 PPLG di SMKN 1 Talaga., dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh minat siswa pemilihan program keahlian terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas 11 PPLG di SMKN 1 Talaga dengan menggunaka metode AHP (Analitycal Hierarchy Process). Data dikumpulkan melaui kuisioner tes minat bakat berdasarkan teori Holland, observasi, dan hasil besajar berupa nilai pre test dan nilai post test. Metode AHP merupakan model pengambilan keputusan yang komprehensif dengan memperhitungkan hal-hal yang bersifat kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya kesesuaian antara minat siswa dalam memilih program keahlian berdasarkan ilia pre test diperoleh bahwa 64% siswa memperoleh nilai di atas KKM. Serta adaya pengaruh minat siswa dalam pemilihan program keahlian terhadap hasil belajar terlihat dari adanya penigkatan hasil belajar siswa yaitu nilai pre test 64% siswa memperoleh nilai di atas KKM menjadi 78% siswa yang memperoleh nilai di atas KKM pada nilai post test.

Abstract

Abstrak Pertumbuhan informasi di internet membuat volume data tekstual semakin besar. Hal ini membuat manusia kesulitan dalam mengolah informasi dengan cepat. Peringkasan teks dapat membantu manusia untuk memahami informasi dalam jumlah yang banyak dengan cepat. Pada penelitian ini, arsitektur encoder-decoder akan diimplementasikan pada dataset Indosum menggunakan Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) dengan tambahan  mekanisme atensi dan Transformer. Ujicoba juga dilakukan menggunakan  fine-tuning pada pre-trained model T5-Small dan BART-Small. Eksperimen juga dilakukan dengan membandingkan dataset yang menggunakan praproses dan tanpa praproses. Berdasarkan eksperimen, model LSTM-Atensi memiliki kinerja rendah  dengan nilai ROUGE-L sebesar 13.0 pada dataset yang menggunakan praproses. Sedangkan nilai ROUGE-tertinggi didapatkan dari hasil fine-tuning T5-Small dengan nilai sebesar 66.2.===================================================AbstractThe proliferation of information on the internet has led to an increasing volume of textual data. This presents a challenge for humans in processing information rapidly. Text summarization can aid humans in quickly comprehending large amounts of information. In this research, an encoder-decoder architecture will be implemented on the Indosum dataset using Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) along with attention mechanisms and Transformer. Experiments will also involve fine-tuning pre-trained models T5-Small and BART-Small. The influence of preprocessing will also be studied through experiments. Based on the experiments, the LSTM-Attention model demonstrates poor performance with an ROUGE-L score of 13.0 on the preprocessed dataset. Conversely, the highest ROUGE score was achieved through fine-tuning T5-Small, scoring 66.2.

Abstract

The problem of low scores in Informatics subjects, student literacy, and critical thinking skills are the main background of this research. To answer these challenges, this study aims to develop website-based learning media using the SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) method in learning programming algorithms, and to measure the influence and correlation between students' learning interests and critical thinking skills. The subjects in this study were grade X students of the Software and Game Development Expertise Program (PPLG) at SMKN 1 Cisarua, with the object of research being students' critical thinking skills and learning interests. The research method used is Research and Development (RD) with the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Learning media are designed to provide an interactive and enjoyable learning experience that supports the development of critical thinking skills and increases students' interest in learning programming algorithm material. The research instruments consisted of a learning interest questionnaire, a critical thinking test, and a validation sheet from material and media experts. The validation results showed that the developed media was feasible to use. Data analysis showed that there was a low positive correlation between students' learning interests and critical thinking skills, with a correlation coefficient value of 0.27. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between students' learning interest and critical thinking skills, although the relationship is included in the low category. The developed learning media has the potential as an effective tool in improving the quality of the programming algorithm learning process.

Abstract

In facing the challenges of the digital era, education in Indonesia must innovate through the integration of technology to produce a superior workforce. Traditional teacher-centered teaching methods have become an obstacle to developing students' logical thinking skills in problem-solving and conclusion-drawing. This research aims to develop and test the effectiveness of website-based interactive multimedia using the discovery learning model on the Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) topic to enhance students' logical thinking skills. The media development employed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), with the interactive multimedia flow designed according to the stages of discovery learning. Effectiveness was measured using a one-group pretest-posttest design with vocational high school students in West Bandung, while the feasibility of the material and media was validated by experts. The improvement in logical thinking skills was measured using the N-gain test. The results showed that the developed interactive multimedia was declared highly feasible by material and media experts. The effectiveness test indicated an improvement in students' logical thinking skills, with an N-gain score in the medium category. However, a detailed breakdown of the improvement per aspect revealed that argumentation skills were moderate, while thought coherence and conclusion-drawing skills remained low. These difficulties were attributed to a lack of student initiative and motivation in discussion and summarizing the material. It is concluded that this interactive multimedia is feasible and effective as an alternative learning medium for training students' logical thinking skills, although further optimization is needed to improve thought coherence and conclusion-drawing abilities.
