Abstract

Komunikasi yang efektif antara alumni dan organisasi menjadi elemen penting dalam penyampaian informasi, khususnya terkait program beasiswa. Dalam konteks Ikatan Alumni Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (IKA UPI), keterbatasan sumber daya manusia menyebabkan hambatan dalam merespons pertanyaan informasi secara cepat dan akurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan chatbot menggunakan BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) untuk menjawab pertanyaan seputar beasiswa secara otomatis. Model yang digunakan adalah IndoBERT yang melalui lima tahapan fine-tuning, yaitu Masked Language Modeling (MLM), Next Sentence Prediction (NSP), Intent Classification, Extractive Question Answering (SQuAD), dan Semantic Retrieval. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan metrik seperti accuracy, F1-score, exact match (EM), recall, latency, accuracy@k, dan mean reciprocal rank (MRR). Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan kinerja yang kuat pada berbagai tugas-tugas fundamental, dengan F1-score mencapai 93,33% untuk Next Sentence Prediction (NSP), dan 86,74% untuk Intent Classification. Namun demikian, tugas-tugas terkait pemahaman konteks yang lebih kompleks seperti Extractive Question Answering (SQuAD) dan Semantic Retrieval menunjukkan tantangan, dengan F1-score  memperoleh 43,57% dan mean reciprocal rank (MRR) 0,34. Penelitian ini mengonfirmasi bahwa kelayakan implementasi chatbot dengan menggunakan model BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) untuk pengelolaan informasi beasiswa Ikatan Alumni UPI, sekaligus memetakan tantangan dalam tugas-tugas pemahaman konteks yang lebih dalam.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi telah membawa tantangan baru dalam pengelolaan donasi beasiswa di tingkat perguruan tinggi, di mana transparansi dan perlindungan privasi atau akuntabilitas menjadi fokus utama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah dashboard operasional yang efektif dan efisien dengan memadukan transparansi serta perlindungan privasi dalam pengelolaan donasi beasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan pengembangan sistem ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Pendekatan user experience (UX), yang didukung oleh prinsip Cognitive Load Theory (CLT) dan Information Dashboard Design, diterapkan secara intensif pada tahap analisis dan desain untuk memastikan antarmuka yang intuitif dan efektif. Dalam evaluasi sistem, digunakan metode pengujian black box testing dengan teknik equivalence partitioning dan boundary value analysis untuk memverifikasi fungsionalitas sistem secara menyeluruh. Hasil dari evaluasi menggunakan metode black box testing telah memvalidasi pengujian fungsional menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan berbasis CLT berhasil menciptakan sistem yang andal, mudah digunakan, dan dipahami, serta memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna akan informasi yang akurat dan tepat waktu, sehingga meningkatkan kepercayaan donatur

Abstract

Alumni play a crucial role as university representatives in society and as a bridge connecting networks and sharing information with current students and new graduates. However, limited up-to-date alumni data and low participation in data updates hinder universities from fully leveraging alumni potential. This study aims to develop a strategic alumni mapping dashboard for Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) using the PureShare method, which emphasizes alignment between organizational goals and user needs. The development process includes planning and design, system and data review, prototype creation, refinement, and release. During planning, objectives and key results were identified as the foundation for dashboard design. The data review stage revealed several missing key data, such as income, employment status, and further study data, which were subsequently added to complete the database. The prototype was tested through blackbox testing and refined based on user feedback. The final dashboard presents interactive visualizations, including alumni growth trends, distributions by domicile, employment, entrepreneurship, and further study. This dashboard serves as a monitoring and strategic decision-making tool for UPI’s Alumni Association, supporting the achievement of university Key Performance Indicators, particularly graduate success. This research highlights the importance of participatory approaches and user-centered design in enhancing the effectiveness of alumni mapping dashboards.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan model scaffolding berbantuan multimedia interaktif guna meningkatkan kemampuan analisis siswa SMK dalam mata pelajaran Algoritma dan Pemrograman. Studi lapangan yang dilakukan di SMKN 4 Padalarang menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan analisis siswa masih rendah, terutama dalam menganalisis kesalahan program yang mereka buat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE, yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Sebanyak 25 siswa kelas X RPL SMKN 4 Padalarang terlibat dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan analisis siswa, dengan rata-rata gain sebesar 0,59 yang dikategorikan sebagai "sedang". Respon siswa terhadap penggunaan multimedia BelajarIN yang diterapkan dalam model scaffolding juga menunjukkan hasil yang sangat positif, dengan rata-rata tanggapan sebesar 81,48% yang masuk dalam kategori "sangat baik". Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan model scaffolding berbantuan multimedia interaktif dapat meningkatkan kemampuan analisis siswa dalam pembelajaran algoritma dan pemrograman, dengan hasil yang cukup efektif dan layak diterapkan pada pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

This study aims to implement a drill and practice-based chatbot to improve English speaking skills, particularly in the aspect of pronunciation. The research employed a mixed-methods approach by combining the Research and Development (ADDIE) model with a quasi-experimental design using a pretest-posttest control group pattern. The participants consisted of 76 eighth-grade students from SMPN 5 Cirebon, divided into experimental and control groups. The instruments used included a pronunciation assessment rubric based on the Cambridge English Linguaskill Speaking Global Assessment Criteria, observation sheets, and student perception questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted through normality tests, the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, the Mann-Whitney U Test, and N-Gain calculation, complemented by qualitative analysis from observations and questionnaires. The findings revealed that the use of a drill and practice-based chatbot had a positive impact on improving students' pronunciation skills, although the improvement achieved remained merely in the low category, with an N-Gain score of 0.25. The chatbot was proven to provide broader, more flexible, and personalized practice opportunities for students, as well as facilitate instant feedback that is difficult to obtain in conventional learning. These results indicate that chatbots can serve as an effective supplementary medium in English language learning, particularly for practicing pronunciation both independently and in integration with classroom learning, suggesting the potential for further development and integration of chatbot technology in language education.

Abstract

Microlearning has become one of the approaches that has become increasingly in demand in the last two decades along with the increasing need for flexible and digital technology-based learning. This research aims to define the concept of microlearning and identify research trends and factors that drive its implementation. The method used is a bibliometric analysis of microlearning-themed publications obtained from the ScienceDirect database from the initial appearance of the term until 2024. The analysis was carried out based on three main aspects, namely the frequency of publications, the number of citations, and the network of co-emergence and co-authorship. The results of the study show a significant increase in the number of microlearning-related publications over the past two decades. The publications with the highest citations were mostly from the pre-COVID-19 pandemic period, while 99% of documents did not show a strong pattern of authorship collaboration. In addition, microlearning is defined through three main factors, namely mobile device use, social connectedness, and time constraints. These findings confirm that research on microlearning remains relevant and has the potential to be an important foundation for the development of digital learning strategies in the future

Abstract

Informatika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang penting saat ini karena sangat menunjang kemampuan siswa pada abad ke-21 ini. Perkembangan teknologi yang sangat cepat membuat pelajaran informatika harus terus berkembang terutama di bagian isi pembelajaran yang akan disampaikan kepada siswa. Oleh karena itu, sangat dibutuhkan inovasi-inovasi isi pembelajaran informatika untuk menyetarakan dengan perkembangan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan inovasi isi pembelajaran informatika dengan membandingkan beberapa isi kurikulum di 3 negara yaitu di Indonesia, Amerika, dan Jepang. Hasil penelitian ini terdapat banyak persamaan dan perbedaan kurikulum informatika di 3 negara tersebut, tetapi tiap negara memiliki keunikan sendiri dalam menerapkannya dalam pembelajara. Ada beberapa inovasi yang bisa diambil dari 2 negara Amerika dan Jepang, inovasi yang menarik untuk bisa diterapkan di indonesia adalah penerapan pembelajaran robotika dan AI (artificial Intelligence) yang dicoba diterapkan di negara tersebut.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the researcher's concern about the difficulty of informatics subjects at the junior high school level. Moreover, when examined, hardware material is a challenge for teachers and students in carrying out learning in the classroom. In some places, student motivation and learning outcomes in understanding hardware material tend to be low. The purpose of this study is to develop Augmented Reality learning media on learning informatics hardware material in class VII junior high school. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) which uses the Brog & Gall research model with 10 models, then simplified into 3 major steps which will be implemented in the development procedure process by adopting the results of Sukmadinata's R&D model simplification. Testing the feasibility of development, it was tested with the results of a media expert assessment of 81.25% very feasible criteria. While the material expert assessment with a score of 81.82% is very feasible. The results of the implementation of student respondents on a limited scale were 76.42% of the interesting category and a wide scale of 84.11% of the very interesting category. So it can be concluded through the results of expert validation, limited scale trials and wide scale trials, that augmented reality as learning media is feasible to use as a learning tool during the learning process

Abstract

Background of Study: Educational disparities across Indonesian provinces persist, particularly in infrastructure, teacher quality, and dropout rates, necessitating data-driven analysis for equitable improvements.Aims: This study investigates school feasibility and proposes strategies to enhance provincial education performance using the Random Forest algorithm.Methods: Aggregated provincial education data covering student numbers, dropout rates, teacher qualifications, and classroom conditions were transformed into derivative indicators. A binary classification (Feasible/Not Feasible) based on national dropout median was applied. The model was developed using R with six systematic steps, including training and evaluation of a Random Forest model (ntree = 100, mtry = 3) using accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity.Result: The model accurately classified school feasibility. Key predictors included teacher quality, student-teacher ratios, and classroom conditions. Several provinces were identified as “Not Feasible.”Conclusion: Machine learning proves effective for education policy support. The study offers targeted recommendations such as improving infrastructure, enhancing teacher training, and reducing dropouts to promote equitable education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Automatic question generator (AQG) technology is a system developed to create questions automatically from input in the form of text, images, and videos. AQG has been developed using various approaches such as natural language processing (NLP), statistical approaches, and other machine approaches. AQG has a very important role in the world of education, especially in independent education, because it can be used as a good evaluation medium for students. Utilizing AQG in independent education gives students full control to determine their learning. AQG turns learning into a more interactive experience by generating questions that can trigger critical thinking and problem-solving skills. AQG technology developed in independent learning will encourage students to respond actively to the material and understand concepts more deeply. Approximately 60% of research related to AQG has been conducted for assessment, 18% for knowledge acquisition, and the remainder for validation and other purposes. This research was conducted by conducting a comprehensive review of 63 articles related to AQG in education.
