The agenda setting theory states that media determine people's way of thinking. Due to the strong penetration of media, configures have begun to replace old ones. Media continuously offer a new status, making the popularity oj contemporary heroes more and more significant. As a reference group, heroes are figures with whom the young generation identify themselves. A hero with its conventional meaning is alwavs changing. Formerly, a hero was a figure with an exceptionally charming personality. Nowadays. media have a role to set new objects that the puhhe admire through pseudo-heroism. This is called the involution of the meaning qf heroism. Such a phenomenon becomes a challenge in the field of education to re-actualize the meaning ofa real hero, namely a conscientious hero.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Learning in primary schools currently follows the direction of the Merdeka Curriculum which prioritises independent learning according to the learners' own abilities. Mathematical connections are still important things that students must have for their daily lives. This study aims to analyse the effect of implementing the TaRL-based PjBL model on mathematical connections, especially in mathematics subjects. This quasi-experimental study used saturated sampling of 18 grade IV students. A pretest-posttest group design was used in one group. The research used tests. In this study, descriptive analysis technique was used for data analysis, which used sequential sample t test. Before hypothesis testing, prerequisite tests such as normality and homogeneity tests were conducted. When compared to students before treatment, the application of TaRL-based PjBL model was proven to improve their mathematical connection. Furthermore, data processing was carried out with tcount ≥ ttable 5.702 > ttable 2.10982) which indicates that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is a positive effect of the TaRL-based PjBL model on students' mathematical connections in class IV elementary schools.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia faces the challenge of improving student learning outcomes through appropriate learning models and effective content delivery. This study aims to analyze the influence of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and auditory learning styles on the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental (non-design) method. Data were collected through multiple-choice tests to assess learning outcomes and questionnaires to identify students' auditory learning preferences. The sample consisted of 28 fifth-grade students. The findings revealed a significant impact of the PBL model on students with auditory learning styles in enhancing critical thinking skills. Hypothesis testing showed a probability value of 0.000 > α = 0.05, indicating a significant relationship between the learning model and student outcomes. The integration of PBL tailored to students' learning styles can effectively improve their conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills. The study concludes that implementing a problem-based learning model combined with an auditory learning style positively influences students' learning outcomes in civic education, particularly in developing critical thinking abilities in elementary school students.

Abstract

The ability of Indonesian students to solve math exam questions, particularly in integer arithmetic operations, remains a challenge, indicating incomplete mastery of mathematical concepts. This study aims to test the construct validity and reliability of a learning outcome scale for integer arithmetic operations in AKM numeracy for fifth-grade elementary school students through the development of E-MoBil media based on Flip PDF Professional. The development method used follows Borg & Gall's model but focuses on nine key steps: information gathering, planning, initial product development, preliminary field testing, initial product revision, main field testing, product revision, operational field testing, and final product revision. The primary data collection instrument was a questionnaire, analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis with LISREL 8.80 software. The results show that the developed learning outcome scale meets the criteria for model fit, convergent validity, discriminant validity, and construct reliability. These findings demonstrate that the E-MoBil media developed using Flip PDF Professional is effective in enhancing students' understanding of integer arithmetic operations and is suitable for use in learning activities. This study provides significant contributions to the development of technology-based learning evaluation tools to improve elementary students' numeracy literacy.

Abstract

The development of online tutoring services suggests that Indonesian education faces significant challenges. The purpose of this study is to investigate the issue of educational affordability that arises as a result of the creation of numerous tutoring services in Indonesia. This study used a descriptive research model and a qualitative methodology. This research data takes the form of literature from studies on the existence of elementary school tutoring institutions in Indonesia with all its issues, which are examined from a phenomenological point of view. The findings indicated that public mistrust in the caliber of education provided in formal schools contributed to the rise of online tutoring services at the elementary school level. Students are beginning to choose to employ online tutoring services due to tedious coursework and the ineffectiveness of learning implementation in traditional elementary schools. This article suggests that the government cooperate with the private sector and education innovators to create media and learning methods that are efficient, enjoyable, and still affordable for everyone to address the deficiencies in Indonesia's formal education system.
