Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in banking has grown rapidly in recent years, providing opportunities and challenges in dealing with it. AI in the banking world is expected to facilitate use, strengthen customer data security, and optimize risk management. This article aims to analyze the level of customer user experience towards banking services by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI). The analysis technique used in this study is descriptive with a quantitative approach, involving 100 respondents of various ages, various jobs and various educational backgrounds. The main requirement for respondents is that they are customers of various conventional banks in Ponorogo Regency who have used artificial intelligence (AI)-based banking services. Data were collected through questionnaires supplemented with secondary data in the form of documents related to the implementation of artificial intelligence in the banking service system. The application of AI in the banking sector is the detection and prevention of fraudulent transactions in real time, identity verification through biometrics, identity verification through biometrics, chatbots and virtual assistants for customer service, detecting suspicious activity, and the use of smart wallets. The findings in this study explain that artificial intelligence (AI) is able to increase the efficiency of services to customers, provide a better experience, and improve the quality of banking services. Customers are greatly helped by the use of artificial intelligence (AI)

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) promises to revolutionize public administration by enabling more precise, data-driven, and predictive policy decision-making. Governments worldwide are increasingly aspiring to leverage AI to solve complex societal problems. However, the transition from traditional bureaucratic methods to AI-augmented governance is fraught with systemic difficulties. This study critically analyzes the multifaceted challenges hindering the effective adoption of AI in public policy decision-making. Utilizing a qualitative approach through a systematic review of current administrative practices and technological frameworks, this research categorizes obstacles into technical, organizational, and ethical dimensions. The findings demonstrate that technical challenges are not merely about infrastructure but involve deep-seated issues regarding data quality, privacy, and the interoperability of legacy systems. Organizationally, the study identifies significant resistance due to bureaucratic inertia and a critical shortage of digital talent within the civil service, leading to a disconnect between technical developers and policy practitioners. Furthermore, ethical dilemmas present the most precarious barrier; specifically, the risks of algorithmic bias, lack of explainability (the "black box" phenomenon), and undefined accountability mechanisms threaten public trust. This article argues that without a comprehensive regulatory framework and cultural transformation within government agencies, AI adoption risks exacerbating existing inequalities rather than solving them. The study concludes by proposing a strategic governance model that prioritizes human-centric AI design, continuous capacity building for administrators, and rigorous ethical auditing to ensure that AI serves the public interest effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Work Life Balance, Workload, and Teamwork on Employee Loyalty at the General Election Commission (KPU) of Ponorogo Regency. This research applies a quantitative approach using a saturated sampling technique, in which all 34 employees of KPU Ponorogo Regency were selected as respondents. Data collection was conducted through structured questionnaires distributed to all employees. The collected data were tested using validity and reliability analyses to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the research instruments. Furthermore, multiple linear regression analysis was employed to examine the relationship between independent variables and the dependent variable. The coefficient of determination (R²), t-tests, and F-tests were also performed using SPSS version 29 to determine both partial and simultaneous effects. The findings reveal that Work Life Balance, Workload, and Teamwork each have a positive and significant effect on Employee Loyalty. Simultaneously, these three variables also demonstrate a significant combined influence on Employee Loyalty, indicating that effective balance, manageable workload, and strong collaboration contribute to higher employee loyalty.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between training, job stress, and the International Safety Management (ISM) Code and ship crew performance, with commitment positioned as a mediating variable. The research was conducted at SKOM Sdn. Bhd. (SK Offshore & Marine) in Malaysia and focused on ship crews working on 10 offshore vessels. A quantitative approach was employed using a descriptive and confirmatory design. The study involved 213 crew members as respondents. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS and SPSS version 22. The findings reveal that commitment plays a significant mediating role in linking training, job stress, and ISM Code implementation to ship crew performance. Training contributes to better performance when it strengthens crew commitment and supports technical readiness in demanding maritime operations. Job stress, although often viewed as detrimental, becomes more manageable when organizational commitment is maintained, allowing crew members to remain focused on their responsibilities. Likewise, the implementation of the ISM Code enhances performance not only through compliance with safety procedures but also through its capacity to foster a stronger sense of responsibility and commitment among crew members. These results indicate that commitment is a central mechanism through which organizational and operational factors influence performance in the maritime sector. The study recommends strengthening technical training, improving workload distribution, providing mental and emotional support, and ensuring consistent implementation of safety management procedures to enhance ship crew performance.

Abstract

This study explores the critical synergy between technical competence and mental well-being in driving the operational success of offshore maritime fleets. Amidst a recorded decline in performance targets at SKOM Sdn. Bhd. (SK Offshore & Marine) from 2021 to 2023, this research identifies the underlying factors influencing ship crew productivity. Using a quantitative confirmatory design, data were collected from 213 crew members across 10 offshore vessels and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings demonstrate that while technical training and the implementation of the International Safety Management (ISM) Code directly enhance operational execution, their long-term impact is heavily dependent on the psychological state of the crew. Job stress was found to significantly undermine both performance and organizational attachment. Crucially, the study reveals that organizational commitment acts as a vital bridge; it translates training and safety protocols into sustained high performance while mitigating the negative effects of occupational stress. These results suggest that achieving offshore operational targets requires more than just procedural compliance; it demands an integrated management approach that prioritizes mental health support alongside technical development. The study provides strategic recommendations for maritime managers to balance workload distribution and strengthen crew commitment to ensure operational reliability in high-risk environments.
