Abstract

This study addresses the visibility of traditional craft and focuses on developing a strategy to increase its exposure through online marketing platforms. Puspa Rinengga Batik Studio, a small and medium-sized enterprise in Sleman, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, specializes in creating batik with jangkang motifs. Despite their unique craft, the studio struggled with marketing their products, resulting in an imbalance between production and sales. This study explores a strategy to boost sales by leveraging social media for digital marketing. The approach involves empowering the community through workshops and implementing a sustainability program. As a result of this initiative, the studio successfully utilized social media to showcase its batik products to a broader audience, leading to a triple increase in sales. This study demonstrates that strategizing the visibility of traditional craft means popularizing the craft and improving the welfare of the studio’s members, particularly women, reinforcing the local cultural identity, and preserving batik as a cultural heritage.

Abstract

One of the main challenges in translating classical Arabic texts into Indonesian lies ini lexical addition, which may affect meaning and interpretation. This study aims to identify lexical addition in the translation of Ta’limu al Muta’allimi from Arabic to Indonesian.Using a qualitative descriptive method with translational equivalence approach, the data consist of word, phrases, and clauses from the source text and its Indonesian translation. The analysis reveals five main function of lexical additions: 1) providing supplementary information, 2) repeating key points, 3) emphasizing meaning, 4) conveying titles or honorifics, and 5) enchacing politeness markers. These findings indicate that  lexical additions function not onlu as a linguistic strategy but also as a communicative and contextual means of transmitting educational and religious values. Thus, the translation of Ta’limu al Muta’allimi demonstrates both informative and normative dimensions

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the role of intermediate language in translating the dialogue subtitle of Le Grand Voyage film from French as source language into Indonesian as target language. This study used intermediate language translation theory from Amal Al Shunnaq (2019), which was a translating process from source language into target language through other foreign language. Le Grand Voyage film is a film with religious nuance with the life of maghrébin immigrants in France as the background. The film subtitle in Indonesian were translated from English subtitle which were previously translated from French dialogue. English as the intermediate language had a very important role since it determined the subtitle translation final result in the target language. In addition to economic reasons, the role of an intermediate language was to be able to simplify or make subtitle in target language more concise, therefore it could easily adjust the space and time on the screen display, refine the translation result so that the film subtitle in target language becomes more polite, such as the loss of swear words, and determines the message from source language into target language due to cultural influences and the peculiarities of the intermediate language.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the realization of French external sandhi, namely liaison, enchaînement, and élision in FLE (French as a Foreign Language) students with Indonesian as their first language (L1), and the factors influencing the realization. To determine the extent of mastery of Indonesian students, this study compared the realization of two groups of Indonesian students with different study hours and the realization of native speakers. This study involved 44 FLE students divided into two groups (27 students in Group I and 17 in Group II) and 11 native speakers. The instrument text for oral reading was compiled considering all these three phenomena theoretically and the students' competence level. It contains sequences of words potentially connected by all three. The data collection technique was carried out by recording the text reading once. The use of PRAAT software supported data analysis. The study results indicate the mastery of Indonesian speakers in élision liaison enchaînement consonantique enchaînement vocalique. The realization level of the students is much lower than that of native speakers. Several factors include the absence of similar phenomena in L1, segmentation ability, use of rhythm, differences in the orthographic systems, and interference, namely the presence of silent consonants and grapheme h, which are not pronounced in French, differences in the transparency of phoneme-grapheme relationship in the two languages and the quality of input.

Abstract

Faktor penyebab campur kode meliputi tren media digital, kebutuhan teknis akibat keterbatasan kosakata, identitas budaya, lingkungan geografis, interaksi keluarga multibahasa, kebiasaan penggunaan bahasa, dan topik pembicaraan tertentu. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa campur kode pada diaspora Indonesia bukan sekadar bentuk keterbatasan bahasa, melainkan strategi multilingual adaptif untuk mempertahankan identitas budaya, membangun komunikasi efektif, dan melakukan negosiasi identitas dalam ruang digital transnasional.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of syntactic interference arising from the structural differences between Indonesian (L1) and German (L2) in compositions written by B1-level students. The primary objective was to systematically identify, categorize, and analyze the specific forms of negative transfer. Utilizing the error analysis framework established by Corder and James, the data comprising 21 student compositions, were rigorously classified into systematic errors and incidental mistakes. The analysis revealed 15 distinct types of syntactic interference, predominantly involving critical German structures such as verb conjugation, word order (in both main and subordinate clauses), and the use of prepositions. The most frequently occurring form of negative transfer was observed in German verb conjugation errors. The overwhelming classification of observed instances as errors confirms a deep-seated negative transfer from the mother tongue to the target language system. These findings possess significant educational value, as they precisely map the areas where Indonesian speakers require the most targeted linguistic intervention. The results strongly recommend the integration of a contrastive learning approach and emphasize the urgent need for reinforcement activities that specifically build syntactic awareness in German instruction. This research serves as an evidence-based tool for practitioners, guiding the refinement of curriculum and pedagogical strategies to effectively minimize recurrent interference and enhance the precision of L2 acquisition at the intermediate level.

Abstract

<p>The translator as a negotiator must ensure that all information contained in the source language text is conveyed to the target language reader. Because translation can be a way to overcome intercultural gaps. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to find the formulation of the translation of Japanese cultural terms that have been negotiated in Indonesian translation. The material objects of this research were the Japanese novel <em>&#039;Tenki No Ko</em>&#039; and its Indonesian translation <em>&#039;Weathering With You’</em>. The frameworks for this study were Newmark&#039;s cultural terms categorizations, Eco&#039;s idea of negotiation, and Baker&#039;s strategies for culture-specific items. This study revealed that the negotiation of Japanese cultural identity can be identified and formulated through the translation strategy used by the translator. The strategies were using general words, omissions, paraphrasing with related words, using neutral words, and using unrelated words.</p> <a href="https://gb777info.com">gb777</a><a href="https://pajak.blitarkota.go.id/uploads/profile/">gb777</a><a href="https://baak.uika-bogor.ac.id/uploads/">slot gacor</a><a href="https://siadmin.baak.uika-bogor.ac.id/files/images/">gb777</a><a href="https://jdih.dprd-pemalangkab.go.id/">gb777</a><a href="https://disnakertrans.bungokab.go.id/">GB777</a><a href="https://jdih.bungokab.go.id/">GB777</a>slot gacorslot gacor
