Abstract

Mesin empat langkah didesain untuk bahan bakar yang sesuai standart pabrikan yang telah ditentukan. Dengan adanya penambahan bioethanol E50 pada campuran bahan bakar maka diperlukan beberapa modifikasi pada mesin. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan yaitu memodifikasi timing pengapian yang tepat agar dapat meningkatkan performa dan menurunkan emisi gas buang. Metode yang digunakan adalah memajukan sudut pengapian sebesar 28° dan 32°, dari kondisi standar yaitu 15°. Pemajuan sudut pengapian dilakukan dengan cara merubah posisi pick up (tonjolan) magnet. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan dynotest untuk performa dan gas analyzer untuk emisi gas buang. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui performa mesin dan emisi gas buang dengan perubahan Ignition Timing : 28˚ dan 32˚ terhadap pada sepeda motor berbahan bakar E50. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, penambahan bioethanol E50 kedalam bahan bakar meningkatkan daya dan torsi dari kondisi standart E50. Daya maksimum dicapai oleh sudut pengapian 28° sebesar 5,1 KW pada 6000 rpm naik 66,7% dari mesin standar E50. Torsi maksimum dicapai oleh sudut pengapian 28° sebesar 9,4 Nm pada 4500 rpm naik 16% dari mesin standar E50. Untuk emisi gas buang, konsentrasi CO terendah dicapai oleh sudut pengapian 28° E50 sebesar 2,53% pada 4000 rpm, turun 19,4% dari mesin standar E50. Konsentrasi HC terendah dicapai oleh sudut pengapian 32° E50 sebesar 102 ppm pada 4000 rpm, turun 93,4% dari kondisi standar E50. Konsentrasi CO₂ terendah dihasilkan oleh sudut pengapian 28° E50 sebesar 1 % pada 4000 rpm, turun 37,5% dari kondisi standar E50. Konsentrasi O₂ naik dikedua variasi.

Abstract

Abstrak Masyarakat Dusun Kayang Makmur sebagian besar telah menggunakan peralatan pertanian yang terbuat dari baja. Alat pertanian tersebut dibutuhkan perawatan dan perbaikan dengan menggunakan teknik pengelasan. Dalam melakukan pengelasan tersebut harus dilakukan sesuai dengan prosedur pengelasan yang benar, instalasi alat yang tepat, dan pemahaman yang baik mengenai Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) sehingga efektivitas dari pengelasan dapat dicapai dengan maksimal. Oleh karena itu, diadakan pelatihan pengelasan dasar GMAW Gasless guna meningkatkan keterampilan Masyarakat Dusun Kayang Makmur. Penyelenggaraan program kemitraan masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan beberapa parameter dengan luaran dari kegiatan ini berupa kemampuan teknik pengelasan dasar GMAW Gasless metode 1F dan 2F. Tahapan pelaksanaan terdiri dari teori pengelasan, K3, serta praktek dan pendampingan pengelasan dasar yang menghasilkan produk berupa kursi. Hasil dari pengabdian pengelasan ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan peserta hal pengelasan dasar GMAW Gasless, serta dapat menerapkan proses pengelasan dengan mengutamakan K3. Kata Kunci- Program Kemitraan Masyarakat, Dusun Kayang Makmur, Pengelasan, GMAW Gasless.

Abstract

Motorcycles with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) technology require special maintenance including maintenance of the electronic control unit (ECU), sensors, actuators (injector and ignition coil), and fuel pump. Therefore, workshops that are engaged in motorcycle maintenance services, such as sabar garage, must continue to upgrade their skills to meet market needs. Based on the analysis of the situation and technical problems at the sabar garage workshop, it was concluded that the mechanics had difficulty measuring the compression ratio and fuel pump pressure. The results of the analysis were then discussed and activities were determined, namely a training program in the form of measuring the compression ratio and fuel pump pressure on motorcycles with EFI technology. This is intended so that sabar garage mechanics are able to operate compression gauges and fuel testers. The training was carried out for 1 day with a practical theoretical method. Partner contributions include providing practical objects, namely motorcycles with EFI technology and tool boxes. The results show that mechanics are able to measure the compression ratio and fuel pump pressure on motorcycles with EFI technology. The expected impact is an increase in service and productivity of the workshop so that it correlates with an increase in the income of the workshop.

Abstract

The development of technology in the automotive sector, especially four-wheeled vehicles is increasing. This is shown by the use of Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) technology for the fuel intake system. Therefore, teachers must continue to upgrade their skills and expertise in order to improve the quality of graduates. SMK Teknik Bakti Persada is a school that has one of the light vehicle engineering expertise programs. Judging from the tools and machines that are in the workshop, the average is a machine with EFI technology. There needs to be an effort to improve teacher competence related to the gasoline injection system. Gasoline injection system training is a community service program that aims to improve the competence of productive teachers at SMK Teknik Bakti Persada. The training method applied is theory and practice which is carried out for 4 days. The results showed that the trainees were able to disassemble the starter motor, alternator, tune up the EFI engine, and use a scanner to stream engine data. Improving the skills of vocational school teachers is expected to have an impact on the quality of graduates who are quickly absorbed in the industrial world.

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Huda, Desa Doho sebagian besar menggunakan peralatan yang terbuat dari besi dan baja sehingga dibutuhkan perawatan dan perbaikan dalam bentuk pengelasan dasar SMAW. Keterbatasan pendidikan santri Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Huda Doho dalam pengelasan masih kurang memadai apabila dilakukan penekanan. Dibutuhkan adanya program kemitraan masyarakat yang membutuhkan keterampilan pengelasan sehingga dapat dikembangkan untuk berwirausaha. Dalam pengabdian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui, peningkatan nilai pre test dan post test dalam pemahaman pengelasan dasar SMAW Santri Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Huda Desa Doho. Pengabdian untuk menghasilkan luaran peserta yang mampu memperbaiki barang berbahan besi atau baja, dan membuat produk berbahan dasar besi dengan proses pengelasan SMAW.

Abstract

Abstract The use of LPG fuel in spark ignition engines continues to be developed, including the use of converter kits as a conversion tool from gasoline to LPG. However, the use of converter kits is not optimal because the mixture of air and gas has not been mixed heterogeneously in the combustion chamber. Therefore, it is necessary to redesign the converter kits that speed up the mixing process between air and gas. This study aims to evaluate the use of LPG fuel in spark ignition engines with converter kits on variations in throttle valve openings on exhaust gas emissions and exhaust gas temperatures. The research method used is an experiment with variations in the throttle valve opening on the engine are 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. Data that will be compared on the use of gasoline and LPG fuels include carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbon (HC), and mean gas temperature. The results showed that the use of fuel between gasoline and LPG on exhaust gas emission levels in spark ignition engines with variations in throttle valve openings was able to reduce CO emissions by 92% on average, HC by 72%, and increase the mean average temperature by 17%. This shows that the use of converter kits at each valve opening is able to reduce levels of CO and HC exhaust emissions compared to gasoline. However, it is inversely proportional to the mean gas temperature, at each variation of the gas valve opening there is a significant increase in temperature. This is because the heating value of LPG is greater than that of gasoline.Keywords—Exhaust gas emission, spark ignition engine, throttle valve open

Abstract

ABSTRACTSecond generation bioethanol fuels are made from the vegetable material containing cellulose and lignin which is generally a solid agro-industrial waste biomass. Biomass waste has a considerable amount in Indonesia. One of them is waste from the brem food processing industry in Caruban Madiun. Bioethanol is potential to be utilized as motor vehicle fuel with a requirement of 99.5% purity and has properties corresponding to the standard of denatured bioethanol for gasohol. This research was conducted by experimental method, which is making second generation bioethanol fuel from the waste of brem in laboratory scale. The initial stage is hydrolysis and then fermentation process by using saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast with a variation of fermentation length, yeast weight, and water volume. The next process is distillation stage one, distillation of stratum, and dehydration by adding salt and silica gel. The optimal bioethanol is then blended with pertalite and tested for octane value characteristics.The results of this study obtained the best comparison of 250 grams of brem waste, 1250 ml of water, 10 grams of yeast tape, and 5 days of fermentation time with 93% alcohol content. From the alcohol content, the characteristics of the mixture of pertalite and bioethanol were obtained. The result of octane value was E5 which was 100.8; E10 is 101.3; and E15 equal to 106.8. The more a mixture of bioethanol with pertalite, the greater the octane value.Keywords: second generation bioethanol, alternative fuels, brem waste, standard of denatured bioethanol for gasoholABSTRAKBioetanol generasi kedua adalah bioetanol dari bahan nabati yang mengandung selulosa dan lignin yang umumnya merupakan biomassa limbah padat agroindustri. Limbah biomassa mempunyai jumlah cukup besar di Indonesia. Salah satunya adalah limbah dari industri pengolahan makanan brem di Caruban Madiun. Bioetanol potensial untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan bakar kendaraan bermotor dengan syarat memiliki kadar kemurnian 99,5% dan mempunyai properties yang sesuai dengan standart mutu bioetanol terdenaturasi untuk gasohol. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental, yaitu membuat bioetanol generasi kedua dari limbah ampas brem skala laboratorium. Tahap awal adalah hidrolisa, kemudian fermentasi dengan menggunakan ragi Saccharomyces cereviceae dengan variasi penelitian yaitu lama fermentasi, berat ragi dan volume air. Proses berikutnya adalah distilasi dan distilasi bertingkat serta dehidrasi dengan menambahkan garam dan silica gel. Bioetanol paling optimal selanjutnya diblending dengan pertalite dan diuji karakteristik nilai oktan. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan perbandingan terbaik yaitu 250 gr limbah ampas brem, 1250 ml air, 10 gr ragi tape, dan lama waktu fermentasi 5 hari dengan kadar alkohol 93%. Dari kadar alkohol tersebut dilakukan uji karakteristik campuran pertalite dan bioethanol didapat hasil nilai oktan yaitu E5 sebesar 100,8; E10 sebesar 101,3; dan E15 sebesar 106,8. Semakin banyak campuran bioetanol dengan pertalite maka nilai oktan semakin besar.Kata kunci : bioetanol generasi kedua, bahan bakar alternatif, limbah ampas brem

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Huda Doho, Madiun, memiliki potensi besar untuk pengembangan usaha berbasis sumber daya lokal, terutama melalui budidaya lebah kelanceng. Namun, potensi ini belum dikelola secara optimal. Program pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan jiwa kewirausahaan santri dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif melalui evaluasi awal dan evaluasi akhir untuk mengukur efektivitas pelatihan. Hasil menunjukkan tingkat keberhasilan mencapai 85%, didukung oleh antusiasme tinggi peserta dalam mengikuti teori dan praktik budidaya lebah kelanceng. Program ini memberikan dasar keterampilan untuk mendukung kemandirian dan pengelolaan usaha berbasis agribisnis secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The development of technology in the automotive sector, especially motorcycles is increasing. This is indicated by the use of Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) technology for the inclusion of the fuel system. Therefore, motorcycle repair shops must continue to upgrade their mechanical skills and expertise to meet customer needs in vehicle servicing. Kiki Motor Workshop is a motorcycle repair shop that is engaged in the service and replacement of motorcycle spare parts on micro exhibits. Judging from the service activities in the workshop, the average category of motorcycle being serviced is conventional technology (carburetor). Efforts are needed to improve the quality of human resources so that the workshop is able to receive motorcycle service services with EFI technology. The application of injector cleaner technology is a community service program that aims to improve the quality of services at the Kiki Motor workshop. In addition to improving the quality of the workshop, this program is expected to increase the income of the workshop.
