Abstract

Creative thinking is one of the 21st-century skills that every individual should possess. These skills facilitate the individual in realizing the imagination, providing an opportunity to think and express ideas. So knowing the profile of creative thinking skills is considered very important. This study aims to analyze creative thinking skills in learning activities teaching physics subjects on the topic of temperature and heat. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research with test methods. Class XI students of one of the public high schools in Central Bangka became the population in this study. The sample in this study was 64 students who were selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected using Creative Thinking Skills Physics SMA (PhysCreTHOTS). The results showed students' creative thinking skills on temperature and heat material were at a percentage of 54.40% with sufficient categories. And there are no students who are in the category of very good and very less. Then students' creative thinking skills based on creative thinking indicators are all classified as sufficient with a percentage of 57.81% (fluency), 45.57% (flexibility), 56.25% (originality), and 58.59% (elaboration). The results of this discovery can be used as empirical evidence and references that in the implementation of physics learning students' creative thinking skills still need to be improved.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are rarely measured in science learning. This study aims to analyze critical thinking of junior high school students on heat transfer materials. The subjects of this study were class VII students of SMP Negeri 6 Palembang, totaling 32 seventh grade students took written tests as part of the data gathering process, which also included interviews with physics teachers. This research uses a mixed-methods strategy that combines both qualitative and quantitative data. For educational policymakers deciding on next steps, such as the choice of suitable teaching models and instructional materials, aimed at fostering the improvement of students' critical thinking abilities, understanding the profile of students' critical thinking skills serves as a valuable reference. With an average score of 36.12, the results showed that students had comparatively weak critical thinking abilities. Thus, this research can make a significant contribution to the development of effective and innovative learning methods

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the effectiveness of an e-module based on local food wisdom in the city of Palembang on the collaboration skills of high school students on temperature and heat material. This type of research is a quasi-experiment using the pretest-posttest method. The population of this study was class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Palembang City. The data analysis technique uses quantitative data to analyze data collected from students' collaboration skill achievement scores. The results of data analysis show the average pretest on collaboration skills was 54. The average post-test score after implementing the e-module based on local food wisdom in Palembang on collaboration skills was 80. This shows that students' skills in collaboration skills have increased. after using e-modules based on local wisdom. The main finding of this research is that the application of an e-module based on local food wisdom in the city of Palembang is effective in improving students' collaboration skills. This is proven by the results of the N-gain test analysis showing that students with collaboration skills received a score of 0.72 in the high category.

Abstract

The development of ICT and 21st-century learning emphasizes improving students' critical thinking skills. So that the learning process requires teaching materials that can attract students' interest and motivation to learn. This study aims to analyze the need for physics teaching materials for teachers and students at SMP Sriguna Palembang. The teaching material to be developed is an electronic LKPD (E-LKPD) in learning Physics using a quantitative approach with the survey method. The instrument used was a questionnaire containing the needs of E-LKPD teaching materials for teachers and students at SMP Sriguna Palembang, which were distributed via Google Forms. Respondents involved in this study were four teachers and 33 students using a simple random sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively in the form of percentages. The results showed that the teachers and students of Sriguna Palembang Middle School needed interactive teaching materials in the form of Problem-Based Learning-based E-LKPD to learn Physics material.

Abstract

This research is research on developing the ADDIE model at the analysis stage. A needs analysis is needed to identify the character profile of learners. This research was conducted at SMA Sriguna Palembang with correspondence of 36 students. The questionnaire of needs analysis questions in this study was disseminated through the Google form platform. The teaching materials developed are in the form of e-LKPD. The analysis results of using other learning resources, such as e-LKPD, as many as 58.3% are still hesitant to use it. Walking wave material raised in this study showed that 55.6% agreed that the material was difficult. The learning model used by the Discovery Learning model. The results of the analysis of the application of discovery learning in physics learning, as many as 44.4% are still hesitant to make observations or experiments on physics material, as many as 50% are still hesitant to analyze the results of observations or experiments, as many as 63.9% are still hesitant to find new things from the results of observations or experiments that have been done. The development of e-LKPD is expected to facilitate students' learning, especially wave material with the discovery Learning model. This research can be used as an initial overview or reference for further development research.

Abstract

This research aims to produce e-module teaching material products containing local wisdom from South Sumatra based on the theory of conceptual change that is valid, practical and effective in students' conceptual understanding. The development model used is the Rowntree development model modified with formative evaluation. The subjects in this research were class XI students at SMA 19 Negeri Palembang. Based on this data analysis, it is declared valid, practical, and effective in students' understanding of concepts. The results obtained were: the expert review stage obtained an average score from material experts of 85.71%, linguistic experts of 93.05% and appropriateness of presentation and appearance of 75.48%; the one to one stage obtained an average score of 95.11%; the small group stage obtained an average score of 95.08%. Based on the results of the field test, the N-gain calculation obtained a score of 0.64 with interpretation being seen from the test results calculating the pre-test and post-test scores. Thus, it can be concluded that using e-module teaching materials containing local wisdom based on the theory of conceptual change can improve students' conceptual understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to validate physics teaching materials in the form of STEM-based e-modules in the context of local wisdom of South Sumatra. This type of development research uses the Rowntree development model which consists of 3 stages, namely the planning, preparation, and evaluation stages. This research uses tessmer formative evaluation. Then, the research instrument used was a validation sheet with data collection techniques using a Likert scale and a Guttman scale. The validation data was analyzed by determining the average of each assessment. The results showed that STEM-based physics teaching materials in the context of South Sumatra's local wisdom were in the valid and very valid categories, with results for product 1 e-modules for content aspects of 81%, media design 74% and language 76%. Product 2 e-LKPD for content aspects 73%, media design 77% and language 74%. Product 3 e-modules for material aspects 93.5%, design and language 93.25% as well as learning design 88.75%. Thus, it can be concluded that STEM-based physics teaching materials in the context of local wisdom of South Sumatra are valid, the three products have met the standards and criteria that have been set.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the needs in the physics learning process from the perspectives of students and teachers. A survey method was used by distributing questionnaires to 184 students and 40 physics teachers in South Sumatra, selected through purposive sampling. The results show that students better understand physics when it is related to natural phenomena and everyday life, such as renewable energy. However, they face challenges with formulas, scientific terms, and connecting concepts to real-life contexts. Both students and teachers agree that integrating ethnoscience into physics learning can effectively enhance scientific literacy. All participants stated the need for learning resources that incorporate ethnoscience from Lake Ranau in Ogan Komering Ulu, South Sumatra. Based on these findings, an e-module was developed featuring concise explanations, visual elements, videos, interactive quizzes, and practical experiment activities. The results indicate the importance of developing an ethnoscience-based e-module to improve students' literacy in the topic of renewable energy.
