Abstract

This study aims to enhance the self-confidence and psychological well-being of Indonesian migrant workers (TKI) in Hong Kong. The initiative was developed in response to the challenges faced by TKI, including discrimination, social isolation, and cultural adaptation difficulties, which often lead to low self-esteem and stress. Using a participatory qualitative research method, the study collected data through observations, in-depth interviews, and participant feedback during a series of training and counselling sessions focused on stress management, communication skills, and community building. The findings reveal significant improvements in participants' confidence, with notable increases in their ability to communicate effectively, manage stress, and build social support networks. These results underscore the importance of integrating training with social support mechanisms to address the multifaceted challenges faced by migrant workers. The study contributes to the literature on migrant worker empowerment by offering a replicable model for similar interventions in other contexts.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the influence of organizational culture, work–life balance, and occupational health on the performance of early childhood education teachers in South Tangerang City. Strengthening teacher performance in PAUD institutions is increasingly urgent due to rising academic workloads, administrative demands, and institutional expectations. The research aims to analyze both the partial and simultaneous effects of the three independent variables on teacher performance. A quantitative survey design was employed, involving 30 PAUD teachers selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a 46-item Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that work–life balance has a significant positive effect on teacher performance, while organizational culture and occupational health do not show significant partial effects. However, the three variables collectively exert significant influence, with an R² of 0.261, indicating that they explain 26.1% of the variance in teacher performance. These results underscore the critical role of maintaining a balanced interaction between work responsibilities and personal life in enhancing teacher performance. The study concludes that institutions should provide structured support, reduce administrative burdens, and foster consistent work culture and occupational health measures to promote optimal performance and professional well-being among PAUD teachers.

Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) demands educators to facilitate personalized learning, which consequently increases their administrative workload. Artificial Intelligence (AI) emerges as a strategic solution, yet its integration is often hindered by technical and ethical barriers. This study aims to systematically review the literature concerning the optimization of AI by teachers and lecturers to enhance their professional performance within the Independent Curriculum framework. Employing the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted on 47 peer-reviewed articles published between 2019 and 2025, sourced from Scopus, Web of Science, SINTA, and Google Scholar. The data were evaluated using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT) and analyzed via thematic synthesis. The findings reveal a significant paradigm shift from the use of AI as basic administrative aids to advanced generative tools for designing differentiated learning modules and managing student data. Digital literacy, self-efficacy, and visionary AI leadership are identified as the primary determinants of successful AI integration. Best practices highlight the effective use of AI in streamlining assessments and mentoring tasks. However, infrastructure disparities, technology anxiety, and academic integrity threats remain critical challenges. The study concludes that AI significantly elevates educator performance when coupled with robust digital competence and institutional policy support. Future research is recommended to focus on the longitudinal impact of AI on educators' mental well-being.
