Abstract

In this study, the La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3-? (LSCF 6428) asymmetric flat membrane was successfully fabricated using a based-phase inversion technique. The effect of different dope composition and molecular weight of polyethylene glycol (PEG) as a pore-forming agent were investigated to identify the membrane properties in term of uniformly pore configuration and the mechanical strength. The result showed that the addition of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) as the solvent in varied compositions exhibits different morphology and the most uniform finger-like pores with a diameter of 22 ?m were formed using 5.0 ml DMSO. Based on the uniformity of the pores, 5.0 ml DMSO was further used to study the effect of PEG addition. A highly uniform porous configuration with a pore diameter of 17 ?m, less dense layer thickness, the high mechanical strength of 507.2 Hv, and good thermal expansion behavior was achieved when 0.39% PEG 8000 was added. Such PEG 8000 is promoted additive to adjust the LSCF membrane porous configuration parameter to improve oxygen permeation and catalytic performance on partial oxidation of methane.

Abstract

Corona virus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh virus bernama SARS – COV-2 atau yang dikenal dengan VIRUS CORONA. Virus Corona ini menyebabkan infeksi saluran nafas pada manusia mulai dari batuk pilek hingga yang lebih serius seperti Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) dan Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). Penyebaran virus COVID- 19 meningkat semakin cepat melalui tetesan air liur atau keluar dari hidung ketika orang yang terinfeksi batuk atau bersin. Namun demikian, masih sedikit pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat di Desa Malangsari, Kecamatan Tanjung Anom, Kabupaten Nganjuk yang mematuhi protokol kesehatan saat beraktivitas di luar rumah. Oleh karena itu, perlunya peningkatan pemahaman COVID-19 dan pentingnya mematuhi protokol kesehatan dalam upaya pencegahan dan pemutusan mata rantai penularan COVID-19. Kegiatan yang dilakukan dengan metode Edukasi COVID-19 kepada Masyarakat desa Malangsari melalui sosialisasi, penempelan pamflet di tempat umum, penerapan protokol kesehatan, dan media sosial. Dengan demikian, harapan Desa Malangsari terbebas dari virus corona dapat terwujud.

Abstract

The coronavirus disease 2019 (SARS-CoV2) has attracted most interest in current years due to the worst impact for the global public health. In this situation, the whole world requires wearing face shield and mask as the personal protective equipment, especially for medical personnel. Polymer technology have been introduced as a helping tool against SARS-CoV2 by producing healthcare product such as face shield as the first line of resistance due to it was cost effectiveness, sterile nature, versatility and easy to modify. This article clarifies the discussion about face shields in the polymer technology as the point of view and aims at providing a deeper understanding about polymer, polymeric material, synthesis methodology and its application for responding SARS-CoV2 pandemic in a form of face shields. The study of the synthesis route and methodology, chemical and physical properties of the polymer for face shields have also been described.

Abstract

Zirkonium-benzendikarboksilat dan kobalt-zirkonium- benzendikarboksilat berukuran nano dengan variasi mmol Zr/Co = 20, 10, 5, dan 3 berhasil disintesis melalui metode solvotermal pada suhu kristalisasi 140oC selama 6 jam. Sampel Co-Zr-BDC yang termodifikasi dikarakterisasi dengan XRD, FTIR, SEM-EDX, dan TGA. Difraktogram pada semua hasil sintesis menunjukan puncak karakteristik UiO-66 yang terlihat pada 2θ = 7,4 dan 8,5o dengan intensitas yang berbeda. Sampel pada penambahan Co(II) mempunyai morfologi homogen dan berupa kristal kubik dengan ukuran partikel 100-200 nm yang dipengaruhi oleh rasio Zr/Co berdasarkan analisis SEM-EDX. Semua material menunjukan kestabilan termal antara 480-520oC

Abstract

Methane as a light gas was generally found in natural gas which was burned freely to gain a high quality of petroleum. This action truly impacted a worst condition in nature, namely greenhouse effect. This brief review described fundamental theory of the important process in methane conversion from natural gas into value-added chemical such as syngas (CO+H2). The methane conversion reaction was commonly divided into direct and indirect reaction. The indirect reaction such as partial oxidation of methane was mostly chosen due to the intermediate product (syngas) can easily generate many raw materials of petrochemicals. This paper also described a potential catalyst to be applied which in heterogeneous type such as perovskite oxide, metal oxide and zeolite.

Abstract

The aims of this brief overview are providing the knowledge about the physical and chemical properties of perovskite oxides in various synthesis method and the correlation of its performance for separating oxygen from air. Perovskite oxide showed excellent conductor of ion and electron, simultaneously through oxygen lattice in the crystal structure. In the present review, we have presented the detail on the crystal structure and the factor that affect the pseudo-crystal, various synthesis method i.e., solid-state, sol-gel, combustion, and co-precipitation. Abstract

Darurejo Village, Plandaan District, Jombang is an onion horticulture area where the highest productivity level is in the Jombang Regency of 3990 kw and 38 kw/ha. However, the onion sales are not optimal so farmers often experience losses. Therefore, we service activities regarding the processing and management to enhance the effectiveness. Coinciding with the COVID-19 pandemic and the enactment of the government's decision to Implement Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (ECAR) the implementation of counseling is carried out online. The online activity was carried out through the WhatsApp Group, on Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 11.00-14.00 WIB, which was attended by 25 village cadres. This outreach activity was carried out by providing 2 materials, including basic knowledge of onion and the resulting products such as fried onion, onion baceman, and onion powder which have great potential to be widely sold, and the introduction of automatic peeling machines to increase the quantity and quality of productions through online and offline meeting on August 28, 2021. It is hoped that the community will be able to process and manage the onion shallot potential products.

Abstract

This work represents a comprehensive analysis of pedada fruit (Sonneratia caseolaris) as a less desirable fruit, but valuable content such as pectin which obtained through extraction using microwave assisted extraction (MEA) method. Pectin is a water-soluble fiber widely used as a functional component in the food and pharmaceutical industry. The analysis focuses on the comparison profile of pectin from pedada fruit and Kepok banana peel. In addition, the effect of the concentration of the extracting solvent on the methoxyl levels of pectin was also evaluated using the chemometric method (partial least square (PLS) and principal component analysis (PCA)). PLS was performed to determine the methoxyl content which plays a role in determining the pectin type. While PCA was to determine the pectin classification pattern based on the fruit supply location and the extracting solvent. The results showed that the PLS of extracted pectin of pedada fruit and Kepok bananas peels showed an R2 value of 1. This means that the pectin data model of each sample using the MAE method was in good classification. In addition, the PCA results show that the pectin extraction data plots are close together between samples in the quadrant, indicating the same characteristics and quality of pectin.

Abstract

Desa Holimombo memiliki berbagai potensi sumberdaya alam. Potensi sumber daya alam yang dimiliki oleh Desa Holimombo yaitu potensi kelautan, geologi, serta hidrologi pariwisata. Salah satu permasalahan di Desa Holimombo yaitu tidak adanya sumber air permukaan. Sumber air yang dimanfaatkan masyarakat selama ini merupakan air yang keluar dari celah batu, tetapi mengalami percampuran dengan air laut (intrusi air laut) sehingga rasa air yang digunakan menjadi asin. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah untuk memberdayakan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan air tanah sebagai sumber air bersih. PKM ini dilakukan di Desa Holimombo Kecamatan Wabula Kabupaten Buton pada tanggal 6 Oktober - 2 November 2023. Metode yang digunakan yakni sosialisasi, pengeboran air tanah, dan pelatihan pengukuran kualitas air. Pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pemanfaatan air tanah sebagai sumber air bersih berkontrubusi besar terhadap pembangunan daerah. Keberadaan air tanah hasil pengeboran di Desa Holimombo dapat menjadikan daerah tersebut mandiri akan sumber air bersih. Air yang selama ini digunakan dengan kondisi yang tidak layak minum sesuai dengan standar Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia Nomor 492 Tahun 2010 bisa ditinggalkan dengan adanya sumber air baru.
