Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials of enumeration rules were valid and practical based on the characteristics of problem-based learning and curriculum 2013 and to determine the potential effects of teaching materials on student’s ability to solve problems. The method used was the development of research which consists of two stages: a preliminary stage that includes the preparation and design then the formative stages of evaluation that includes self evaluation, expert reviews, one-to-one, small group, and a field test. The subjects were students of class XI MIA 6 SMAN 10 Palembang. Data collected by walkthrough, observation and tests. This research has produced teaching materials were valid and practical based on the characteristics of problem-based learning and curriculum 2013. Valid drawn from suggestions validator which states that teaching materials good based content in accordance with curriculum 2013, construct in accordance with the characteristics of problem-based learning and language according to the EYD, and have a potential effect on student’s ability to solve problems seen from the attitude, knowledge and skills in general was good and the results of the final evaluation test where the average student scores were categorized either.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan soal matematika model PISA level 5 untuk program pengayaan siswa kelas VII yang valid dan praktis. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan tipe formative evaluation.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi walk through, dokumentasi, wawancara, tes dan angket. Soal dinyatakan valid secara kualitatif oleh validator yang merupakan para pakar dan teman sejawat. Selain itu para pakar juga telah menyatakan bahwa perangkat soal telah praktis untuk digunakan siswa. Perangkat soal juga telah diujicobakan untuk melihat validitas dan reliabilitasnya secara kuantitatif.

Abstract

The aims of the research is to produce the set of oriented realistic mathematical education (RME) approach material that is valid and practical for teaching in elementary school student of the fifth grade  and have a good potencial effect. PMRI is one of learning approach which dribbles students in understanding mathematics concept by selfcontruction through prior knowledge which is related to daily activity, finding the concept by themselves so that the learning becomes meaningful. The research is a development research and method used in two stages, that are preliminary study (analysis and model development stage) and formative study (evaluation and revision stage). The samples were students of fifth grade at SD Negeri 179 Palembang. In technique collecting the data, the writer used interview with the experts, observation by using prototype. The data was analyzed by using descriptive method. The result of data analyses concludes that the development of geometry and measurement prototype for the fifth grade students is valid based on content, construction, and language. It can be conclude from the documentary data that the use of student’s book has been a practical use. The try out tested on students has given potential effect which is the students like to study using realistic mathematical education approach with student activity level of 6.47 in a very high criteria and the average of final mark of  87,17 in a very good criteria. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan sikap positif siswa terhadap mata pelajaran matematika melalui cooperative learning sebagai salah satu faktor penunjang dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyelesaiakan soal-soal kontekstual di kelas VIII1 SMP Negeri 2 Pedamaran OKI. (2) meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam cooperative learning sebagai salah satu faktor penunjang dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyelesaikan soal-soal kontekstual di kelas VIII1 SMP Negeri 2 Pedamaran OKI, (3) meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyelesaiakan soal-soal kontekstual melalui cooperative learning di kelas VIII1 SMP Negeri 2 Pedamaran OKI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan  adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak 2 siklus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket, lembar observasi dan tes. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII1 yang berjumlah 39 orang. Dari hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa cooperative learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyelesaikan soal kontekstual di kelas VIII1 SMP Negeri 2 Pedamaran OKI. Abstract

This study aims to develop assessment instruments in Indonesian version of Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) with the topic special quadrilateral including the aspect of validity, of practicality, and of the effectivity. The methodology that use in this study is a developmental research. This form of research consists of self evaluation and prototyping. The subject of this study is 32 students of the first grade of SMPN 17 Palembang. Experts review, and documentary analysis were used incollecting data. For evaluating process, observation sheet, learning log, the use of student’s strategy and solution from the result of their achievement. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive. The findings show that assessment instruments in PMRI in the topic special quadrilaterals could be categorized as valid, practical, and effective. The validity is measured by using the aspects of contents, contruction, and language based on assessment’s principles of PMRI. Based on the experts coments, the assesement instruments developed can be practically in the teaching learning process. According to the observer , the observation sheet and learning log show that students are motivated to be individual or group in doing the exercises. The effectivity is analyzed operationally that is to see student’s ability when the instruments are trying out including the process and the products. Students can argue either orally or writen. Abstract

Teaching fast learning students is not enough by giving them ordinary mathematics problems. Teaching activities for fast learning students bring consequence for teacher to modify teaching activities from regular to activity that needs Higher Order Thinking skills. Therefore it is need to develop problems to measure higher order thinking skills.  This study aims to (1) produce a valid and practical prototype problems to measure Higher Order Thinking skills in Number Sequences and Series for Acceleration Class Grade IX (2) see the effects of the problems to measure higher order thinking skills on students’ achievement in Number Sequence and  Series was tried out to students of acceleration class grade IX .  This study use development research that consists of analyzing, designing, evaluating, and revising. The instrument for collecting data is written test. Test is used to see students’ achievement in Number Sequences and Series.  All data are analyzed using descriptive technique. Subjects in this research are students of Acceleration Class Grade IX of SMP Xaverius Maria Palembang. The total subject are 22 students The results of analysis are: (1) problems prototype which is developed has been valid and practical. (2) based on developing process  can be obtained  that problems which is developed contains potential effect to higher order thinking skills of Acceleration Class Grade IX of SMP Xaverius Maria Palembang shown by written test result score 35.59. It means that students’ thinking skill is good category. The final conclusion is the problems which is developed can be used to measure higher order thinking skills in Number Sequence and Series   Keywords:  problems to measure higher order thinking skills, number sequences and series, acceleration.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) untuk mendapatkan produk berupa alat peraga yang valid dan praktis yang dapat digunakan dalam mengajarkan materi logika matematika (2) melihat efek potensial alat peraga terhadap keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran logika matematika.  (3) melihat efek potensial alat peraga terhadap hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran logika matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (development research). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X TKJ 1 SMK Negeri 2 Palembang sebanyak 39 orang. Pengumpulan data berupa  observasi, dan tes. Semua data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil analisis data menyimpulkan bahwa (1) penelitian ini telah menghasilkan produk berupa alat peraga yang valid dan praktis. (2) alat peraga   yang dikembangkan memiliki efek potensial yang positif terhadap keaktifan, dan (3) alat peraga tersebut memiliki efek positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa , hal ini terlihat dengan adanya korelasi yang cukup positif antara keaktifan dengan hasil belajar, dan nilai ketuntasan siswa mencapai  78,38 %   Kata kunci  :  Penelitian Pengembangan, Alat Peraga Rangkaian Listrik Sseri-Paralel, Logika Matematika

Abstract

One of mathematic lesson which is used in our daily life is fraction. Reside that fraction is Basic of mathematic learning. But it still difficult by students. Therefore, it is hended to develop the lesson by using PMRI-based to improve student’s achievment. These research objectives are: (1) to find out the valid and practical lesson for fraction which is Developer by PMRI-based. (2) to know the potencial effect which is come up from developing the fraction lesson through students’ achievement and their activity. Research methodology was used is development research which is included from analisis, design, evaluation and revision. In collecting the data was applied by using observation and test. Observation was done in order to see students’ activity in process of learning by using PMRI-based and the best was used to measure their ability. The sample of this research was the third year students (35 Students) Primary Scholl 0f 21 Palembang in second semestre. The conclusions are (1) Prototype of the lesson which was Developer is valid, practical and had a potencial effect, (2) there was one ineffective aspect in process of learning that is finishing the problem solving or finding answer of the problem, comparing their solutions or discussing with friends  and in asking aspect or in finding the questions/answers of friends/teacher and (3) the test result to measure students’ ability (87,0). It showed that the level of students’ ability is categorized as very good ability. Therefore, learning realistic mathematic can be used to improve students’ achievement. Key words : RME, research development, fraction material.

Abstract

Buku matematika tentang integral yang ada saat ini, banyak beredar dalam bentuk abstrak. Siswa diberi materi integral dengan rumus-rumus  dan contoh soal, yang kemudian siswa dilatih secara drill agar terampil menyelesaikan soal tersebut. PMRI adalah salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang akan menggiring siswa memahami konsep matematika dengan mengkontruksi sendiri melalui pengetahuan sebelumnya yang berhubungan dengan kehidupan sehari-harinya, menemukan sendiri konsep tersebut sehingga belajarnya menjadi bermakna. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menghasilkan prototipe materi PMRI integral untuk SMA di Palembang yang valid, praktis, dan mempunyai potensi efek yang baik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (development research). Subjek penelitian ini adalah  siswa  kelas XII IPA 1 SMA Nurul Amal Palembang , dan siswa kelas XII IPA C dan D SMA Negeri 3 Palembang. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara dengan pakar, observasi pelaksanaan prototipe, angket kepada siswa dan  dokumen pekerjaan siswa pada latihan di prototipe. Semua data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil analisis data menyimpulkan bahwa hasil pengembangan prototipe materi PMRI integral untuk SMA menggunakan pendekatan PMRI di Palembang valid berdasarkan isi, bahasa, dan kesesuaian konteks. Hasil Uji coba prototipe materi integral yang diberikan kepada siswa SMA Negeri 3 Palembang mempunyai efek yang potensial, yaitu siswa suka belajar dengan pendekatan PMRI, siswa aktif mengikuti pelajaran menggunakan pendekatan PMRI, dan hasil rata-rata menyelesaikan soal latihan 93,7 termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Abstract

This study aims to (1) get a valid and practice prototype mathematics’ blog support for learning in senior high school, (2) see the effect of blog support for learning mathematics. That is used in this study is a developmental research that consist of conception, designing, collecting materials, assembling, trying out and distributing. Mathematics’ blog support was tried out to eleventh grade of senior high school student in SMA YPI Tunas Bangsa. The instruments for collecting data are test, observation, questioner, and document analyzing.  Test is used to see students’ achievement. Observation is used to see students’ activities. Questioner is used to see students’ opinion after using mathematics’ blog support. Document analyzing is used to see opinions of expert review about validity and practically of mathematics’ blog support. The results of analysis are: (1) mathematics’ blog support which is developed has been valid and practice. Valid is based on expert review. Practice is based on one to one and small group. (2) Mathematics’ blog support which is developed has been effective for students’ activities and students’ achievement. Keywords:  Development Research, Blog support, Mathematics learning, Derivative
