Abstract

Riau Province makes sago (Metroxylon sp) one of the alternative sources of gluten-free food. Sago has been processed into food ingredients ranging from traditional with local wisdom approaches to modern. The processing of sago was recorded to produce hundreds of food menu creations. However, from various kinds of processed foods made from sago, this is still constrained by the low level of consumption of sago-based foods. It is presumably because the community still has many food sources as a substitute for rice, such as cassava, corn, and others. If viewed from the potential of raw materials for sago owned by Riau Province, sago can be the primary source of food diversification, one of the steps to reduce dependence on the primary carbohydrate source obtained from rice. Therefore, analysis is needed to determine what factors influence a consumer's decision to consume food products made from sago. The method used in this study was a survey method by accidental random sampling. The research model used was a logistic regression model. The survey location was performed in Pekanbaru as the capital city of Riau Province. Testing on the significance of the model was carried out using the Likelihood Ratio Test and the Wald Test. The results showed that the processed sago that consumers often consume was sago noodles (54%). As a local food, the sago was determined mainly by the processed and the price of sago. Therefore, to maintain the sustainability of sago, the government needs to play a role.

Abstract

Tuah Madani Subdistrict Tampan District already has a Waste Bank, but to process organic waste into compost, the Garbage Bank cadres in each RW still do not have this knowledge. The Unilak Community Service Team has the required knowledge, and through this activity a transfer of knowledge is carried out, so that the Garbage Bank Cadres will more optimally manage the waste that has been collected in the Waste Banks of each RW. The method of activities that will be given to the community is, awareness, counseling, demonstration, and evaluation. Awareness is intended to give awareness to the Garbage Bank Cadre that managing waste into compost will have a positive impact on the environment. Counseling aims to provide knowledge to the community so that they are more sensitive to their environment, so that the environment will provide results that benefit their families. Demonstration aims to provide knowledge directly, both through picture shows, and direct practice making compost from household waste. And an evaluation is carried out to determine the level of knowledge of partners before and after the activity, and to find out the success of the activity.

Abstract

Farming is currently carried out with organic farming, so compost is needed to replace chemical fertilizers. The use of fertilizers made from organic raw materials is highly recommended, because fertilizers made from compost can help help nutrients in the soil, besides compost can also be made from raw materials that are around our environment.. Using compost can help farmers save on production costs, because compost can be made from unused raw materials. For example, compost derived from cow dung, usually does not have a price and benefits, it turns out that it can be used as a raw material for making compost so that this utilization can reduce production costs that are usually incurred by farmers. The purpose of this service is to provide knowledge to partners that it turns out that the livestock waste they cultivate can be used as raw material for composting so that livestock waste in the form of cow dung can be overcome and can also help farmers reduce costs incurred for farming which is also they do. Compost made from cow dung is very helpful in soil fertility and can be seen directly by its benefits for plants and soil. Conclusion The use of cow dung into compost is to reduce livestock manure waste. This community service activity is concluded to have improved the participants' knowledge, understanding, and skills by an average of 81.25%

Abstract

Kelompok arisan ibu-ibu yang berdomisili di Perumahan Lancang Kuning Rumbai dibentuk sebagai wadah silahturahmi antar warga dan membagi ilmu pengetahuan ketrampilan yang dapat diimplementasikan. Pertemuan arisan yang dilakukan setiap satu bulan sekali ini, acara rutin yang dilaksanakan adalah kegiatan pengumpulan dan pengocokan arisan, sementara kegiatan yang lebih bermanfaat bagi kelompok ini jarang dilaksanakan seperti yang sudah dimufakatkan oleh seluruh peserta pada awal pembentukkannya. Tim P2M dari Fakultas Pertanian menawarkan untuk memberikan pelatihan pembuatan nugget jantung pisang sebagai salah satu kreatifitas pengolahan jantung pisang sebagai makanan yang enak dikonsumsi dan juga baik untuk kesehatan. Pelatihan ini diberikan karena bahan baku yang mudah diperoleh disekitar Perumahan Lancang Kuning. Target luaran yang ingin dicapai dari kegiatan ini adalah 1) peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan kelompok Mitra 2) artikel ilmiah. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan adalah dengan cara: 1) penyuluhan. 2) pelatihan, dan 3) evaluasi.Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa didalam kegiatan pengabdian ini terjadi peningkatan terhadap pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta terhadap manfaat mengkonsumsi bahan olahan dari jantung pisang sebagai makanan tambahan menu keluarga. Untuk membantu program diversifikasi pangan pemerintah maka perlu dilakukan kegiatan dengan mengembangkan produk lain dengan bahan baku jantung pisang dan mensosialisasikan menu lain dari jantung pisang.

Abstract

Pakan ternak seperti sapi tidak saja dari rumput, pakan ternak juga dapat dihasilkan dari daun sawit.Luasnya area perkebunan sawit di Riau secara umum dan di Kampar secara khusus, belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal untuk pakan ternak. Yayasan Merpati Putih yang berada di Desa Pancar Gading Kecamatan TapungKabupaten Kampar, Riau memiliki 600 an ternak sapi. Pakan sapi diterima peternak dari petani yang menyiang rumput setiap harinya, namun pakan yang dikumpulkan petani selalu saja belum memenuhi pakan ternak sapi yang dibutuhkan, sehingga perlu solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah memberikan solusi yaitu berupa mesin pencacah pakan yang dapat mencacah daun dan pelapah sawit menjadi pakan ternak sehingga kebutuhan pakan ternak tidak lagi menjadi masalah. Untuk memenuhi pakan ternah yang dibutuhkan maka dibutuhkan mesinpencacah dengan kapasitas yang besar. Mesin pencacah yang akan diberikan dibuat dengan kapasitas 4.000 sampai dengan 5.000 kg per jam dimana mesin pencacah pakan tersebut menggunakan mesin mitsubishi PS 100 yaitu mesin yang awet dan mudah perawatannya. Mesin pencacah akan dimanfaatkan oleh dua mitra sekaligus yaitu petani sebagai pemasok pakan ternak dan peternak sebagai pemilik sapi. Dari hasil kegiatan yang dilakukan, diharapkan petani dan peternak mendapatkan peningkatan hasil produksinya masing –masing yaitu pakan yang berkecukupan dengan bahan baku yang mudah diperoleh yaitu sawit yang berlimpah dan bagi peternak yaitu sapi yang gemuk dan sehat sehingga mendapatkan harga jual yang tinggi

Abstract

The Unilak waste bank currently operates three machines: a compost chopper, a press machine, and a plastic chopper. This machine is critical to the operation of the Unilak waste bank, particularly the composting machine. The compost chopper machine is under extreme strain, as it must keep up with the rate of compost production. As a result, it is necessary to conduct training on the proper maintenance of these machines in order to prolong the life of the machines. To address the issue of managing Lancang Kuning University's waste bank, training was conducted using the Learning by Doing method. In general, the participants, particularly the Unilak waste bank manager, were able to absorb and apply general knowledge about machine maintenance.

Abstract

Keranji Guguh Village, Koto Gasip Subdistrict, Siak Regency is an ex-transmigration. Most of the population's livelihood is oil palm plantations. The largest area of ​​Keranji Guguh village is for plantation land. on the side of the highway Perawang – Siak. The development of lake tourism creates a lot of hope for the surrounding community, especially in terms of the economic growth of the surrounding community. Then also the social aspect of the community is better so that it can prosper the lives of the local community around it Keranji Guguh village has a lake which can be used as a fishing pond tourism object and fish-based culinary delights, but there are still few fish in the pond, so additional fish and assistance are needed. The method used to achieve the goal is by: 1) counseling. 2) training, and 3) mentoring. The results achieved after giving fish seeds and counseling to farmers have increased knowledge of 20% to 80%, the sales of tilapia can be a source of income for farmers, tilapia that is cultivated can be consumed as a source of family nutrition

Abstract

Maintaining food security in traditional communities in forest conservation villages is to use land in village yards/gardens to produce family food. The Sadan settlement is a hamlet in the Bukit Tigapuluh National Park (TNBT), and the people of this village depend heavily on the forest to support their family's economy. Adult men in the village make mandah (out) from the village and collect non-timber forest products such as resin, jernang, petai and others. Meanwhile, women and children live in the hamlet. Women in Sadan village, become partners in this community service activity. The residents of Sadan village have not optimally utilized the gardens/yards in the hamlet for production activities that have economic value through food crop cultivation activities. This is due to limited knowledge in harvesting and cultivation techniques. This community service activity aims to provide counseling, training and land use practices. The implementation of this service activity is carried out with an approach to counseling and demonstration methods. The results of this service have influenced changes in the knowledge and views of participants, especially the use of yard/garden land to meet family food.

Abstract

Pangan dan gizi merupakan kebutuhan dasar manusia yang harus dipenuhi setiap saat. Upaya pemenuhan pangan merupakan tanggung jawab pemerintah dan masyarakat. Ketahanan pangan merupakan salah satu kunci membangun keluarga yang tangguh, sehingga perlu diupayakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan tersebut. Di Pekanbaru pada tahun 2020 masih ada 15 kelurahan yang masih bermasalah terhadap ketahanan pangan keluarga yang mengakibatkan masalah kekurangan gizi pada anak, diantaranya Kelurahan Bambu Kuning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran tentang mengenai ketahanan pangan rumah tangga berdasarkan proporsi pengeluaran pangan rumah tangga dan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap proporsi pengeluaran pangan rumah tangga di Kelurahan Bambu Kuning Kecamatan Tenayan Raya Kota Pekanbaru. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pengolahan data menunjukkan bahwa di rumah tangga di Kelurahan Bambu Kuning berada dalam posisi tahan pangan. Pendapatan, jumlah anggota keluarga dan tingkat pendidikan ibu rumah tangga secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap proporsi pengeluaran pangan, sementara dengan uji parsial (uji-t) hanya pendapatan rumah tangga yang berpengaruh terhadap proporsi pengeluaran panganKata kunci: Ketahanan Pangan Rumah Tangga; Proporsi Pengeluaran; Pendapatan ABSTRACTFood and nutrition are basic human needs that must be met at all times. Efforts to fulfill food are the responsibility of the government and the community. Food security is one of the keys to building a strong family, so efforts need to be made to meet these food needs. In Pekanbaru in 2020 there are still 15 urban villages that are still having problems with family food security which results in malnutrition problems in children, including the Bambu Kuning Village. This study aims to provide an overview of household food security based on the proportion of household food expenditure and to determine the factors that influence the proportion of household food expenditure in Bambu Kuning Village, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City. Based on the results of data analysis and processing, it shows that households in Bambu Kuning Village are in a food insecure position. Income, number of family members and education level of housewives together affect the proportion of food expenditure, while with the partial test (t-test) only household income affects the proportion of food expenditure.Keywords: Household Food Security; Expenditure Proportion; Income

Abstract

This research was conducted to provide solutions to cattle breeders in Pekanbaru City, especially in Rumbai District. Cattle breeders always have difficulty selling cows due to middlemen and coupled with the pandemic period due to the Covid 19 virus, thus making cattle sales decline every year. In increasing the sale of cattle during this pandemic is to use technology as a marketing solution. The technology used in the research is android based. With an Android base, consumers and producers will be integrated with each other so that the buying and selling process becomes easier. The purpose of this study is to help cattle sellers in marketing cattle so that the buying and selling process becomes easy. The method used is Unified Modeling Language (UML) in designing this system. The results show the success of designing applications for cattle sellers, applications can help farmers market their cattle, information about cattle prices to be compared in livestock groups can be seen so as to minimize fraud because buyers can directly see the price of the cattle.
