Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi yang digunakan oleh guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dalam mengatasi kesulitan fokus belajar siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan di Kota Cirebon. Masalah kurangnya fokus belajar menjadi tantangan nyata, terutama dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang menuntut konsentrasi tinggi dan daya serap materi secara optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Sebanyak sepuluh orang guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dari berbagai sekolah menengah kejuruan di Kota Cirebon menjadi partisipan utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor penyebab kesulitan fokus belajar terbagi menjadi dua kategori, yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal meliputi kelelahan, kurang tidur, dan rendahnya motivasi belajar. Sementara itu, faktor eksternal meliputi penggunaan gawai secara berlebihan serta lingkungan belajar yang kurang kondusif. Guru menggunakan berbagai strategi untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut, seperti kegiatan penyegaran (ice breaking), penggunaan media digital, permainan edukatif, serta pendekatan personal kepada siswa. Strategi tersebut terbukti efektif apabila diterapkan secara konsisten dan sesuai konteks pembelajaran. Kebaruan dari penelitian ini terletak pada fokus kajian terhadap peran guru Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah menengah kejuruan, yang sebelumnya belum banyak diteliti dalam konteks kesulitan fokus siswa.

Abstract

AbstractThe availability of fables text teaching materials that contain local wisdom is still limited. This study aims to provide alternative teaching materials as character education by utilizing learning technology. This research is development research conducted from January to June 2020 in junior high schools (SMP) in Regency of Indramayu, Cirebon and city. The researched through the stages of analyzing the needs of teaching materials with character education, collecting, selecting, and analyzing fable texts from the student’s cultural environment and students’ psychological development. Data collected through interviews, observation, and document analysis. The validity of the data is done through expert judgment. Data were analyzed using this analysis. The results showed that fable texts containing local wisdom could be used as character education. The visual presentation of teaching materials is more attractive and effective in improving character education for students. AbstrakKetersediaan bahan ajar teks fabel yang bermuatan kearifan lokal masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberi alternatif bahan ajar pendidikan karakter dengan memanfaatkan teknologi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang dilakukan pada bulan Januari sampai Juni 2020 di SMP se-Kabupaten Indramayu, Kota Cirebon, dan Kabupaten Cirebon. Penelitian dilakukan secara bertahap dengan menganalisis kebutuhan bahan ajar yang bermuatan pendidikan karakter, mengumpulkan, menyeleksi, dan menganalisis teks fabel dari lingkungan budaya siswa dan yang sesuai dengan perkembangan psikologis siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan cara penilaian pakar. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teks fabel yang bermuatan kearifan lokal dapat digunakan sebagai pendidikan karakter. Penyajian bahan ajar secara visual lebih menarik dan efektif dalam meningkatkan fungsi pendidikan karakter kepada siswa.

Abstract

focusing on spelling accuracy, standard vocabulary selection, and sentence structure effectiveness, as well as analyzing public responses to the readability and comprehensibility of the language used. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results of the study show that there are still various linguistic inaccuracies such as spelling errors, the use of foreign loanwords, ineffective sentences, and non-standard abbreviations. Public responses also vary, with some being tolerant as long as the meaning can be understood, while others feel disturbed. These findings emphasize that the functionality of language in public spaces is not solely determined by standardization but also by the effectiveness of communication and social context. Therefore, collective awareness is needed in the proper use of the Indonesian language to support clear and meaningful communication.

Abstract

Learning motivation is a key factor that plays an important role in supporting the success of the learning process of elementary school students. High learning motivation encourages students to actively engage in learning activities, persist in completing tasks, and strive to achieve optimal learning outcomes. However, empirical conditions indicate that the learning motivation of elementary school students in Cirebon City remains relatively low. This situation highlights the need for appropriate instructional strategies that are able to provide positive reinforcement to students. One strategy that can be implemented is the provision of rewards in the learning process as a form of appreciation for students’ positive learning behaviors and efforts. This study aims to examine the relationship between the implementation of rewards in learning and the learning motivation of elementary school students in Cirebon City. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The research subjects consisted of fifth-grade students from three elementary schools, namely SDN 1 Karang Jalak, SDN 1 Kedawung, and SDN Kalijaga Permai. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that included indicators of reward implementation and student learning motivation. The collected data were analyzed descriptively using percentage analysis to describe the tendency of each variable. The results indicate that schools with higher levels of reward implementation tend to have higher levels of student learning motivation. Nevertheless, the findings also reveal that learning motivation is not solely influenced by rewards, but is also affected by other factors such as students’ intrinsic motivation, teacher support, learning environment, and parental involvement. Therefore, rewards function as effective reinforcement for positive learning behavior when applied proportionally, consistently, and contextually according to students’ needs in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to overcome the difficulty of obtaining teaching materials that are in accordance with the development of information technology, in the form of digital speech text teaching materials for SMP/MTs students. Speech is an activity that shows a language skill that is needed by students as provision in their lives in society. Therefore, the development of speech text teaching materials is suitable to be implemented as teaching materials. This study uses a research and development method that begins by analyzing speech activities carried out by national figures classified into three categories (officials, political party figures, and religious leaders) contained in Google's electronic media (youtube). The structure and language features of the speech text were analyzed qualitatively descriptively to find out the contents of the speech text based on the appropriate structure and content categories. Selected speech texts are applied as teaching materials which are developed and the use of language is adapted according to curriculum indicators. The validation instrument consists of four aspects of assessment, namely content feasibility, language, presentation, and graphics. Based on the validity test by experts and practitioners it is known that the digital teaching materials developed are valid and can be used. Based on the results of implementation in learning, YouTube-based digital teaching materials, speech text materials processed based on the t-test, it can be stated that the teaching materials are effective. The response of students in learning was very enthusiastic, both in watching and imitating speeches in front of the class, and learning to write speech texts, so that learning outcomes were considered effective. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi kesulitan mendapatkan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi, berupa bahan ajar teks pidato digital bagi siswa SMP/MTs. Pidato merupakan kegiatan yang menunjukkan suatu keterampilan berbahasa yang diperlukan siswa sebagai bekal dalam kehidupannya di masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan bahan ajar teks pidato cocok untuk diimplementasikan sebagai bahan pengajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang dimulai dengan menganalisis kegiatan berpidato yang dilakukan oleh tokoh-tokoh nasional yang diklasifikasikan ke dalam tiga kategori (pejabat, tokoh partai politik, dan pemuka agama) yang terdapat dalam media elektronik google (youtube). Struktur dan ciri kebahasaan teks pidato dianalisis secara kualitatif deskriptif untuk mengetahui isi teks pidato berdasarkan kategori struktur dan isi yang sesuai. Teks pidato terpilih diterapkan sebagai bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dan penggunaan bahasa diadaptasi sesuai dengan indikator kurikulum. Instrumen validasi terdiri atas empat aspek penilaian, yaitu kelayakan isi, bahasa, penyajian, dan kegrafikaan. Berdasarkan uji validitas oleh ahli dan praktisi diketahui bahwa bahan ajar digital yang dikembangkan valid dan dapat digunakan. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi dalam pembelajaran, bahan ajar digital berbasis youtube materi teks pidato yang diolah berdasarkan uji-t dapat dinyatakan bahwa bahan ajar tersebut efektif. Respon siswa dalam pembelajaran sangat antusias, baik dalam memirsa maupun menirukan berpidato di depan kelas, serta belajar menulis teks pidato, sehingga hasil pembelajaran termasuk efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain folklore teaching materials as a character education scaffold. The folklore studied was taken from the environment of Cirebon community students. The research method used is research and development. The stages carried out are (1) initial collection and analysis of folklore, textbooks used, and the need for teaching materials; (2) development of teaching materials design and validation; (3) reconstruction of teaching materials based on input from expert validation results; (4) evaluation through the feasibility test for use in learning in schools; and (5) implementation of teaching materials in learning. The results showed that the development of affective competence through folklore is a scaffold for students' character education. The development of character education is used to develop ideas or ideas in compiling short stories. Character education is carried out through teaching materials containing the values of local wisdom of folklore into short stories.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bahan ajar cerita rakyat sebagai perancah pendidikan karakter. Cerita rakyat yang diteliti diambil dari lingkungan peserta didik masyarakat Cirebon. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Adapun tahapan yang dilakukan adalah: (1) pengumpulan dan analisis awal cerita rakyat, buku teks yang digunakan, dan kebutuhan bahan ajar; (2) pengembangan desain bahan ajar dan validasi; (3) rekonstruksi ulang bahan ajar berdasarkan masukan hasil validasi ahli; (4) evaluasi melalui uji kelayakan penggunaan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah; dan (5) implementasi bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan kompetensi afektif melalui cerita rakyat merupakan perancah (scaffolding) bagi pendidikan karakter siswa. Pengembangan pendidikan karakter dimanfaatkan untuk mengembangkan ide atau gagasan dalam menyusun cerita pendek. Pendidikan karakter dilakukan melalui bahan ajar bermuatan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal cerita rakyat ke dalam cerita pendek.
