Abstract

The aim of this research is to overcome the problem of learning loss and the limitations of easily accessible teaching materials outside the classroom. The research method used is research and development. Based on a study of the teaching material needs of Indonesian language teachers at the junior high school level in Cirebon Regency, it is known that 97% of teachers need teaching materials that can develop students' creative abilities, because 93% of them experience difficulties in guiding students to produce poetry containing ideas, feelings, and opinions by paying attention to the building blocks of poetry. From the results of expert validation of the developed teaching materials, it can be seen that the digital teaching materials 'Poetic Texts Based on the Creative Process' are suitable for use. This teaching material can be used as an alternative in learning outside the classroom. Based on extensive trials in 125 schools in Cirebon City, Cirebon Regency, Majalengka, Kuningan and Indramayu, it is known that the digital poetry text teaching material model for junior high schools which was developed based on a creative process is effective in helping teachers achieve learning outcomes. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengatasi permasalahan learning loss dan keterbatasan bahan ajar yang mudah diakses di luar kelas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Berdasarkan studi kebutuhan bahan ajar terhadap guru-guru Bahasa Indonesia pada jenjang SMP di Kabupaten Cirebon diketahui bahwa 97% guru membutuhkan bahan ajar yang dapat mengembangkan kemampuan kreativitas siswa, karena 93% dari mereka mengalami kesulitan dalam menuntun siswa menghasilkan puisi berisi gagasan, perasaan, dan pendapat dengan memperhatikan unsur pembangun puisi. Dari hasil validasi ahli terhadap bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dapat diketahui bahwa bahan ajar digital ‘Teks Puisi Berdasarkan Proses Kreatif’ memiliki kelayakan untuk digunakan. Bahan ajar ini dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif dalam pembelajaran di luar kelas. Berdasarkan uji coba secara luas pada 125 sekolah di Kota Cirebon, Kabupaten Cirebon, Majalengka, Kuningan dan Indramayu diketahui bahwa model bahan ajar digital teks puisi untuk SMP yang dikembangkan berdasarkan proses kreatif memiliki efektivitas dalam membantu guru meraih capaian pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to overcome the difficulty of obtaining teaching materials that are in accordance with the development of information technology, in the form of digital speech text teaching materials for SMP/MTs students. Speech is an activity that shows a language skill that is needed by students as provision in their lives in society. Therefore, the development of speech text teaching materials is suitable to be implemented as teaching materials. This study uses a research and development method that begins by analyzing speech activities carried out by national figures classified into three categories (officials, political party figures, and religious leaders) contained in Google's electronic media (youtube). The structure and language features of the speech text were analyzed qualitatively descriptively to find out the contents of the speech text based on the appropriate structure and content categories. Selected speech texts are applied as teaching materials which are developed and the use of language is adapted according to curriculum indicators. The validation instrument consists of four aspects of assessment, namely content feasibility, language, presentation, and graphics. Based on the validity test by experts and practitioners it is known that the digital teaching materials developed are valid and can be used. Based on the results of implementation in learning, YouTube-based digital teaching materials, speech text materials processed based on the t-test, it can be stated that the teaching materials are effective. The response of students in learning was very enthusiastic, both in watching and imitating speeches in front of the class, and learning to write speech texts, so that learning outcomes were considered effective. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi kesulitan mendapatkan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi, berupa bahan ajar teks pidato digital bagi siswa SMP/MTs. Pidato merupakan kegiatan yang menunjukkan suatu keterampilan berbahasa yang diperlukan siswa sebagai bekal dalam kehidupannya di masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan bahan ajar teks pidato cocok untuk diimplementasikan sebagai bahan pengajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang dimulai dengan menganalisis kegiatan berpidato yang dilakukan oleh tokoh-tokoh nasional yang diklasifikasikan ke dalam tiga kategori (pejabat, tokoh partai politik, dan pemuka agama) yang terdapat dalam media elektronik google (youtube). Struktur dan ciri kebahasaan teks pidato dianalisis secara kualitatif deskriptif untuk mengetahui isi teks pidato berdasarkan kategori struktur dan isi yang sesuai. Teks pidato terpilih diterapkan sebagai bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dan penggunaan bahasa diadaptasi sesuai dengan indikator kurikulum. Instrumen validasi terdiri atas empat aspek penilaian, yaitu kelayakan isi, bahasa, penyajian, dan kegrafikaan. Berdasarkan uji validitas oleh ahli dan praktisi diketahui bahwa bahan ajar digital yang dikembangkan valid dan dapat digunakan. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi dalam pembelajaran, bahan ajar digital berbasis youtube materi teks pidato yang diolah berdasarkan uji-t dapat dinyatakan bahwa bahan ajar tersebut efektif. Respon siswa dalam pembelajaran sangat antusias, baik dalam memirsa maupun menirukan berpidato di depan kelas, serta belajar menulis teks pidato, sehingga hasil pembelajaran termasuk efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan penulisan teks biografi yang dilakukan oleh siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Krangkeng, khususnya pada aspek ejaan, morfologi, diksi, dan tanda baca. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Teknik dokumentasi teks biografi siswa dalam bentuk foto. Data dianalisis dengan mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasikan kesalahan dalam aspek yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesalahan paling sering ditemukan yaitu pada aspek ejaan, terutama pada penggunaan huruf kapital, nama orang, nama geografis, dan nama jabatan. Selain itu, ditemukan kesalahan diksi dan tanda baca, seperti penggunaan koma dan titik, serta kesalahan pada aspek diksi dan morfologi. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi dasar evaluasi dan perbaikan dalam pengajaran menulis agar siswa mampu menyampaikan ide secara tepat dan komunikatif.

Abstract

Indonesian language learning in elementary schools not only aims to improve language skills, but also serves as a character building tool for students. This study aims to describe the role of Indonesian language learning in students' character building and identify the teacher's strategy as a teacher in integrating character values. The approach used was descriptive qualitative through total sampling technique involving all fourth grade students at SDN 2 Sitiwinangun. Data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. This model includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that Bahasa Indonesia contributes greatly to character building. As many as 84% of students stated that this learning teaches honesty, 89% assessed that teachers emphasize good manners, and 79% said that reading texts are full of good values. The strategies used by teachers include modeling (79%), giving meaningful tasks (74%), educational reprimands (68%), and habituation of polite language (63%). The results of this study show that Indonesian language learning is effective in shaping students' positive character through the integration of moral values in the learning process, so that it becomes an important provision in social and community life. Highlights: Indonesian lessons instill honesty, manners, and moral values. Teachers use modeling, tasks, and polite language habits. Language learning supports students’ social development. Abstract

Purpose- This study investigates the psychological dimensions of heroism in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans (2015–2017), focusing on the characters Mikazuki Augus and Orga Itsuka. Set in a dystopian future where war and survival define the lives of young orphans, the anime provides a compelling narrative to examine how trauma, leadership, loyalty, and moral responsibility shape heroic behaviour. The background of this study lies in the underexplored intersection between anime, heroism, and psychoanalytic psychology. Methodology - This research employed a descriptive qualitative design. Data were collected through a literature study of all 50 episodes of the anime and supplemented with relevant scholarly sources. The analysis was grounded in Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory, particularly the concepts of the id, ego, and superego, to understand the psychological underpinnings of each character’s decisions and development. The data were processed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Findings - The study finds that heroism in Iron-Blooded Orphans is shaped by a complex interplay of internal conflicts, moral values, and social expectations. Mikazuki’s actions are driven by loyalty and emotional dependency on Orga, while Orga’s decisions reflect the burden of leadership and psychological strain. Both characters exhibit behaviors influenced by their trauma and suppressed desires, with the id, ego, and superego dynamics influencing their perception of duty and sacrifice. These findings suggest that heroic behaviour in the anime is deeply tied to unresolved psychological tension and external moral pressures. Novelty - This research offers a novel contribution by applying Freudian psychoanalysis to anime character analysis—a framework rarely used in this context. It provides a detailed mapping of the psychological structures driving heroic behaviour in anime, expanding the discourse on character psychology in popular media. Significance - The study is particularly relevant for scholars and students of media psychology, literary and cultural studies, and anime studies. It demonstrates how anime can serve as a valuable lens for analyzing complex psychological themes, making it a useful reference for future interdisciplinary research on heroism, trauma, and identity in visual narratives.

Abstract

Reading is a fundamental skill essential for elementary school students' success. However, many students experience reading delays due to learning methods that are not suited to their learning styles. These delays impact letter recognition, academic achievement, and reading comprehension. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of implementing multisensory learning strategies in Indonesian language subjects in differentiated classrooms to address reading barriers in elementary school students. Multisensory strategies engage various senses such as sight, hearing, kinesthetics, and touch, through activities such as reading with pictures, writing using textured media, and listening to audio. Differentiated learning is carried out by grouping students based on reading ability and learning style. This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design without a control group. The subjects were 84 third-grade students from three elementary schools in Cirebon, with a focus on 16 students with reading delays. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test. The results showed significant improvements in students' reading skills after the intervention, including letter recognition, spelling, and sentence comprehension. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of multisensory strategies with a differentiated classroom approach, a practice rarely studied in Indonesian elementary education. This research contributes to the development of adaptive and inclusive learning approaches, particularly in the development of learning strategies that are responsive to the needs of students with reading delays.

Abstract

Movie as a cultural medium not only reflects social reality but also shapes the construction of meaning towards mental health issues in society. This study focuses on five selected movies, namely A Beautiful Mind (2001), Silver Linings Playbook (2012), Joker (2019), The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), and Black Swan (2010). Using Stuart Hall's theory of representation and Freud and Lacan's psychoanalytic approach, this research explores how the main characters are portrayed as experiencing schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, depression, and psychosis. The method used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The data were obtained through observation of visual text, dialog, and cinematic symbols. The results show that the movies tend to represent mental health disorders in two main patterns: (1) pathologizing individuals through tragic and dark narratives, and (2) romanticizing mental suffering as part of a character's genius or uniqueness. These representations have an ambivalent impact. On the one hand they raise public awareness about mental health but on the other hand they potentially reinforce negative stereotypes. The result of this research is expected to contribute to cultural, literary, and media psychology studies as well as provide a critical foundation for the production of more ethical and accurate movie that relate on mental health.

Abstract

General background: The cultivation of empathy and creativity is crucial in secondary education, particularly in literary learning. Specific background: However, many students exhibit limited empathetic engagement and creative expression when learning short stories. Knowledge gap: Previous studies on Project Based Learning (PjBL) in literature often overlook its differential effects on empathy versus creativity. Aims: This study investigates the effectiveness of PjBL in enhancing empathy and creative writing skills through short story learning in Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Plumbon Cirebon. Results: Using a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design, data were collected via short story writing tests, empathy questionnaires, project assessments, and classroom observations, analyzed with paired t-tests, independent t-tests, and simple linear regression. Findings reveal that PjBL implementation followed the prescribed syntax, promoted active participation, and produced short stories rich in empathetic and creative elements. While empathy improved significantly within the experimental group, intergroup comparisons and regression indicated no statistically significant effect on empathy, but a significant positive effect on creativity. Novelty: This research distinguishes the distinct impact of PjBL on two character dimensions in literature learning. Implications: PjBL is a promising pedagogical strategy to foster students’ creative capacity in literary contexts. Highlights: Significant boost in students’ creative writing skills. Empathy improved but not statistically significant between groups. PjBL effectively engages students in literary learning. Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop E-Module teaching materials, Explanatory Text Containing Noble Morals Assisted by Canva Media for Elementary Education,and explain the results of the feasibility test. The research was conducted in the 2023/2024 Academic Year, Even Semester at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Zaytun, Sandrem Village, Gantar District, Indramayu Regency, West Java Province. This research used the Research and Development (R&D) method withADDIE (Analysis Design Development Implementation and Evaluation) model.Data collection methods include the results of interviews, questionnaires and observations. The research results show thatE-Module teaching materials Explanatory Text Containing Noble Morals Assisted by Canva Media for Elementary a learning teaching material that needs to be developedSo it is hoped that students will be able to absorb and understand the material presented, and have good morals and character.The results of the feasibility test for E-Module teaching materials, Explanatory Texts Containing Noble Morals, Assisted by Canva Media for Elementary by material experts were 82.27% with very feasible criteria, and media experts were 77.08% with appropriate criteria. The feasibility test of E-Module teaching materials for Explanatory Texts Containing Noble Morals with the Assistance of Canva Media for Elementary by practitioners received very good criteria with a score of 90.31%. From the results of the e-module trial on students, the results were 86% with very good criteria.Based on the results of feasibility test research by material experts, media experts, and student responses to the use of e-modules, it can be said that the Canva-assisted Explanatory Text Containing Noble Morals E-Module for Elementary is a teaching material that is suitable for use as a learning medium in the process of teaching and learning activities for teachers and students of class V Elementary, and is expected to make it easier for teachers to convey learning material to students and can help students learn independently

Abstract

This research aims to explain the inquiry learning model based on traditional Indonesian games in improving children's storytelling abilities, as well as the process of implementing it in learning. The research was conducted in the 2023/2024 Academic Year, Even Semester at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Zaytun, Sandrem Village, Gantar District, Indramayu Regency, on class IV (four) students in West Java Province. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Analysis Design Development Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) model. The data collection method, in the form of interviews, questionnaires, and observations, is a new learning model developed from the traditional game-based inquiry learning model to improve storytelling to make learning more meaningful. The results of the assessment of the traditional game-based learning model design were 90%, with the category very suitable for use. The results of the learning media expert assessment of 96% showed that learning media is very suitable for use. Meanwhile, Based on the implementation results, the assessment result is 94%. This proves that the learning model is suitable for use. Based on the data above, a traditional game-based inquiry learning model for improving storytelling abilities in fourth-grade elementary school students is needed
