Abstract

This study aims to describe the leadership styles applied in the business evaluation process, specifically through business feasibility studies in the digital economy era. The research adopts a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The study was conducted with informants from business actors in Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan. The informants included five individuals from agricultural, plantation, culinary, and service business clusters. The research shows that in the digital economy era, market aspects have become increasingly complex due to rapid changes in consumer behavior. Companies must adopt a comprehensive approach, utilizing digital data, social media, and big data to more accurately identify market segments and consumer preferences. High competition in the digital market demands adaptation and innovation to stay relevant. In the garment business, focusing on accurately identifying product demand is crucial, while service businesses, such as traditional clothing rentals, adjust marketing strategies based on consumer needs. Effective leadership in managing markets involves professionalism and active consumer participation. A participative leadership style proves effective in addressing complex business challenges.

Abstract

This study emphasizes the strategic role of the Dayak Bidayuh community, especially women, in facing the challenges of climate change by using an approach based on local wisdom and culture. Methods such as shifting cultivation systems, preservation of local seeds, customary prohibitions, and agrarian rituals indicate that this community has a long-standing ecological adaptation system. Women are the main actors in community ecofeminist practices because they play an important role in environmental conservation, cultural tradition inheritance, and local food production. However, the effects of climate change such as seasonal uncertainty, natural resource destruction, and loss of spiritual practices threaten the traditional role and resilience of the community. It is evident that adaptation approaches driven by cultural values, such as strengthening women's creative economy, preserving customary forest areas, and integrating traditional knowledge with climate technology, are inclusive. These strategies are in line with the principles of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI). The local wisdom of the Dayak Bidayuh can serve as a model for community-based, inclusive, and sustainable climate adaptation, if women are recognized as guardians of ecology and culture and are actively involved in climate adaptation programs, education, and local resource-based economic development

Abstract

This research focuses on strategies to optimize the capabilities of the creative economy based on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) in the implementation of technopreneurship tourism in the border region of Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan. The study is motivated by the substantial potential of natural resources, cultural assets, and the strategic location of the border area, which remain underutilized, particularly by women and marginalized groups. Digitalization is considered a promising approach to enhance business efficiency, expand market access, and foster sustainable tourism models. However, limited digital skills, inadequate infrastructure, and gender disparities present significant challenges. A descriptive qualitative method was employed through observations, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and secondary document analysis. Data were analyzed thematically, focusing on local potential, gender dynamics, market access, technological capacity, and social inclusion. The findings reveal that the main creative economy potentials include tengkawang-based processing, traditional weaving and handicrafts, culinary heritage, and cultural tourism. Women are dominant in traditional sectors but remain underrepresented in digital-based activities. Key obstacles include limited capital, low levels of digital literacy, narrow market access, and prevailing social norms restricting women’s roles. Marginalized groups also face discrimination and limited access to basic services. The proposed strategies emphasize gender-responsive technical capacity building, inclusive digital literacy, strengthening of creative economy institutions, and cross-sectoral policy integration sensitive to GESI principles. The study recommends pentahelix synergy as a crucial approach to strengthening an inclusive and sustainable creative economy ecosystem in border areas through the application of digital-based technopreneurship tourism.
