Abstract

Community-based ecotourism is an appropriate approach which is effectively preserved mangrove sustainability. As an effort to identify the priority areas of mangrove development, mangrove density levels need to be analyzed. The distribution of mangroves with the lowest average density value needs to be prioritized as a preservation and conservation strategy through community-based ecotourism concept. This article aims to identify the distribution of mangroves using the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) model in North Halmahera Regency, Indonesia. Also, discuss the sustainable livelihoods' perspective. This study adopted a mixed-method. Data processing is divided into two stages: first stage, mapping the distribution of mangroves based on density levels; second stage, triangulation. Landsat 8 operational land imager (OLI) in 2013 and 2021 were used as primary data to get the NDVI value, and categorized mangrove density level in Pilawang Cape, Kumo Island, Kakara Island, Maiti Island, and Tagalaya Island. The findings show that Pilawang Cape has the lowest NDVI value. The average NDVI value in 2021 is 0.22 which can be categorized as a rare mangrove forest according to the mangrove standard damage criteria. Thus, Mangrove area in Pilawang Cape needs to be prioritized as a preservation and conservation strategy through community-based ecotourism concept.

Abstract

Salatiga adalah sebuah kota kecil di Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) adalah salah satu universitas yang terdapat di Salatiga. Meski berada di kota kecil, UKSW memiliki mahasiswa yang datang untuk menuntut ilmu dari berbagai daerah di luar Salatiga. Tak heran jika daerah sekitar UKSW mudah dijumpai rumah kost. Rumah kost biasanya diidentikkan dengan mahasiswa. Mahasiswa yang memiliki kerabat atau kenalan dari Salatiga tidak mengalami kendala berarti dalam mencari kost strategis sesuai anggaran dan pertimbangan lainnya. Namun, bagi mereka yang berasal dari luar daerah akan sulit menentukan tempat kost mana yang akan menjadi tempat tinggalnya. Oleh karena itu, akan dibangun sistem informasi rumah kost yang mengakomodir pemilik kost di Salatiga untuk mempromosikan kostnya, dan memudahkan mahasiswa dalam menentukan rumah kost yang diinginkan sesuai dengan pertimbangan biaya, lokasi dari kampus, dan fasilitas yang tersedia di rumah kost. Sistem akan dibangun menggunakan metode object oriented dan Unified Modelling Language (UML) sebagai pemodelannya. Sistem ini akan berjalan di platform android.

Abstract

The high intensity of rainfall at the end of 2020 and early 2021 not only caused several areas in Indonesia to be flooded but also landslides. Landslides can occur due to soil movements in the rainy season and are influenced by tectonic conditions in Indonesia which are always changing. Bawen and Tuntang Districts are two districts in Semarang Regency, Central Java. Both areas were hit by floods and landslides in April 2020. The material and moral losses of the local population are inevitable. To take precautions as early as possible in order to reduce future losses, it is necessary to conduct research on the potential of landslide-prone areas in Bawen and Tuntang Districts. The analysis was carried out using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to calculate the percentage of an area where landslides occurred. The parameters used include land cover, slope, rainfall, Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (SAVI), Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), and Normalized Difference Wetness Index (NDWI). The results of this study indicate that the level of landslide vulnerability in Bawen and Tuntang Districts is classified as "kurang rawan". The results of this study are expected to become a spatial planning document based on landslide disaster mitigation in Semarang Regency, especially in Bawen and Tuntang Districts.

Abstract

The development of information technology has shifted the human paradigm in doing shopping from the traditional way that requires sellers and buyers to meet directly to electronic commerce (e-commerce) which is completely online. Shopee as one of the players in the e-commerce business has transformed into one of the big marketplaces, both in Indonesia and in the world. As an e-commerce company that has a worldwide reputation, Shopee is not the only player in the E-commerce business. To be able to survive in the midst of tight digital competition, of course Shopee is expected to always innovate to maintain service quality and increase competitiveness against its competitors. Therefore, an analysis will be carried out using S.W.O.T. to find out the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that can occur to Shopee e-commerce. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, it was found that the strength of Shopee lies in its reputation, its weakness is that it is not e-commerce from Indonesia, the opportunity is a marketplace business that is not bound by space and time, and the threat is that there are many competitors for a similar business model. From these results, to reduce weaknesses and threats, as well as increase the strengths and opportunities that Shopee has, it can be done by implementing the S-O, W-O, S-T, and W-T strategies.

Abstract

Ketersediaan air bersih di wilayah Kabupaten Bengkayang menjadi tugas dari PERUMDAM Tirta Bengkayang. Namun PERUMDAM Tirta Bengkayang sendiri saat ini masih berjuang dalam meningkatkan mutu layanan yang mana Intake atau sumber airnya, yaitu intake Madi, memiliki permasalahan yaitu banjir luapan air yang sulit terdeteksi akibat semakin banyaknya curah hujan yang tertampung mengakibatkan air memiliki tekanan yang besar dan mempengaruhi nilai ambang batas intake. Alhasil kondisi ini menyebabkan meluapnya air dan akhirnya banjir dan menyebabkan pipa tidak mampu lagi menampung tekanan yang besar dan meledak. Dari keterlambatan untuk mendeteksi luapan air mengakibatkan pipa bocor dan terpaksa intake harus dihentikan sehingga air PDAM alirannya dihentikan ke rumah konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan deteksi pipa yang bocor dengan melakukan simulasi deteksi dini banjir pada intake PERUMDAM Tirta Bengkayang menggunakan proteus dan IoT(Internet of Things) Arduino Uno yang terintegrasi web untuk log. Dari hasil uji simulasi, prototype ini diujikan pada pihak Perumdam Tirta Bengkayang. Nilai rata-rata pengujian dapat mendeteksi dengan akurat hingga 100 cm lebih ketika prototype didemonstrasikan dengan tingkat validitas sebesar 90% pada uji blacbox dan mampu terintegrasi web untuk pencatatan log harian.

Abstract

Abstract - The Shanti Bhuana Institute is one of the colleges in the Bengkayang. The campus, which was founded in 2016, is now getting busier, both because of the increasing number of students from year to year, as well as the number of employees working there. This raises problems, one of which is related to the reservation (borrowing) of several rooms that can be used freely, both for lectures and meetings. Previously, recording room reservations was still done manually using paper. In addition, recording reservations is also not flexible because someone must to go to an authorized employee to record reservations. To adapt to the challenges of the digital era and the green economy, it is necessary to reduce the use of paper (paperless) by building a website-based room reservation system where users can make reservations that can be accessed in real-time anytime and anywhere. The research method used will apply the principle of object oriented programming. The system was built using the PHPRad framework with system implementation carried out at the Shanti Bhuana Institute. System implementation went well with a total of 5 rooms that could be reserved and 168 reservations had occurred since the system was implemented.

Abstract

In Desa Puteng, an agricultural village within Bengkayang Regency, corn cultivation plays a significant role in the local economy. However, farmers in this community often encounter challenges in effectively fertilizing their corn crops, resulting in diminished productivity. To address this issue, an innovative approach to enhance training for the creation of simple and effective corn fertilizer tools was introduced through the use of video tutorials, which helped overcome language barriers, and offered visual, step-by-step guidance. This approach is aimed at improving the effectiveness of training and ensuring that farmers can easily access knowledge and skills, thereby increasing their agricultural productivity. Moreover, it also has the potential to disseminate agricultural information and technology to remote farming communities, contributing to the overall agricultural development in the region. This project was initiated by Institut Shanti Bhuana, with the primary goal of empowering the local corn farming community through effective training in corn fertilizer tool construction using innovative video tutorials. The objectives were to enhance farmers' understanding on efficient corn fertilization, teach them simple yet effective tool-making techniques, and overcome language barriers. Through the implementation of this project, Institut Shanti Bhuana aspires to create a positive impact on farmers' lives and elevate the overall welfare of rural communities.

Abstract

The decision to choose a residential house is an important decision that has a long-term impact, so it requires careful and objective consideration. S.A.W. Method (Simple Addictive Weighting) and Fuzzy Mamdani are two methods that can be used to evaluate alternative residential homes based on the weights and values of specified criteria. By combining these two methods, it is hoped that the Decision Support System (DSS) can provide recommendations for the best residential houses according to user preferences. By using the S.A.W method, there are three important factors that need to be considered, namely house price, house location and land area. These three factors are then analyzed again to produce decisions or recommendations regarding the choice of residential house using the Fuzzy Mamdani method. The Fuzzy Mamdani method calculation produces a value of 50 which is tested using the Matlab application showing the same value, namely 50. From these results, it can be concluded that the S.A.W and Fuzzy Logic Mamdani methods are effective and accurate in selecting residential houses.

Abstract

Blaze Cake merupakan usaha mikro yang bergerak dibidang makanan, kue kering, kue basah, dll. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan pemiliknya, sistem penjualan  Blaze Cake saat ini adalah  menerima panggilan dan SMS untuk setiap pelanggan. Selain itu, pelanggan baru kesulitan memperoleh informasi mengenai produk yang ingin dipesan untuk perorangan maupun  acara. Oleh karena itu, dinilai kurang efektif dan efisien. Perancangan sistem ini menggunakan metode waterfall. Diperlukan suatu sistem informasi yang dapat menunjang penjualan, memasarkan produk, dan membantu pembeli mempelajari produk yang dijual di Blaze Cake. Oleh karena itu, dikembangkanlah sistem informasi penjualan produk Blaze Cake berbasis website. Agar dapat menyelesaikan masalah dalam penjualan, memasarkan produk yang dimilikinya, dan dapat memudahkan pembeli untuk mengetahui produk yang dijual pada Blaze Cake.

Abstract

Penyakit Hepatitis merupakan penyakit yang sangat berbahaya bagi manusia dan dapat menyebabkan kematian. Diagnosis awal penyakit hepatitis ini sangat penting dilakukan agar dapat segera ditangani dan diobati. Terdapat 5 jenis virus hepatitis, yaitu Virus hepatitis A (VHA), Virus Hepatitis B (VHB), Virus Hepatitis C (VHC), Virus Hepatitis D (VHD),dan Virus Hepatitis E (VHE). Pada kampus Institut Shanti Bhuana, mahasiswa yang baru masuk melakukan tes hepatitis, karena mahasiswa yang baru masuk wajib  tinggal di asrama selama 2 tahun. Karena dalam asrama hidup bersama, jadi pencegahan penyakit hepatitis ini sangat penting agar menghindari penyakit menular ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang dan membangun sebuah sistem pakar yang dapat mendeteksi kemungkinan terjadinya penyakit hepatitis yang dapat digunakan oleh semua orang khususnya mahasiswa Institut Shanti Bhuana untuk memahami betapa pentingnya mengetahui arti, pencegahan, solusi dari penyakit hepatitis dan  bagaimana proses pencegahannya serta  untuk mendeteksi penyakit hepatitis sedini mungkin. Sistem pakar yang dirancang ini menerapkan perhitungan naïve bayes. Pada artikel ini fokus utamanya  adalah perancangan agar nantinya dapat dipakai dan digunakan oleh Instiitut Shanti Bhuana.
