Electronic medical records become one big data source. Well-managed data can provide information needed in marketing management, especially for private hospitals. PKU Muhammadiyah Temanggung Hospital has implemented electronic medical records starting with the use of billing system in 2014. The data managed includes patient demographics. It is necessary to evaluate the use of these data in terms of man, materials, machine, method, money and markets. The study was descriptive qualitative. The data collection process is carried out by conducting interviews and observations. The marketing information system design process carried out with the IT team. The team uses the waterfall method where system designers complete their concepts by going through a library review process and taking inspiration from various CRM (Customer Relationship Management) models. The results showed that electronic data of medical records has been used as material for marketing information systems. The readiness of man and money makes it easy to build a menu bar of the marketing information system on the dashboard of the management information system. The system is still possible to be developed in terms of materials and machines. The method of data utilization is transforming from manual to digital gradually. This is influenced by the readiness of the next prospective data users to become part of the marketing information system developer by utilizing electronic medical record data. Abstract

Classification and codification of diagnoses are the most important aspects of medical record services. In coding there is accuracy and inaccuracy of diagnosis codes related to claims or costs. The coding of disease diagnoses at the Bhirawa Bhakti Hospital, there are still inaccuracies, so the aim of this research is to analyze the factors that influence the accuracy of inpatient disease diagnosis codes at the hospital. The type of this research is a mixed method with research instruments using checklist sheets, observation, and interview guidelines. This research was conducted at the Bhirawa Bhakti Army Hospital, Malang City. The population used in this research is medical records in quarter 3 of 2023, amounting to 625 files, with a sample calculated using the Slovin formula amounting to 86 files were taken randomly. Accuracy of the diagnosis code as the dependent variable and factors using 5M as the independent variable. Based on the research, completeness of files obtained is 88.4%, or 76 files, while the incompleteness of files is 11.6%, or 10 files. The accurate diagnosis coding results amount to 65.1%, or 56 files, while inaccurate diagnosis coding amounts to 34.9%, or 30 files. Based on interviews and observations with the head of the installation and codification officers, it is found that coding accuracy can be influenced by the 5M factors which include educational background (Man), implementation of codification guided by SPO not yet optimal (Method), absence of reward and punishment systems and there is an impact on the claim if an error occurs in the fourth and fifth characters (Money), legibility of doctor's handwriting and incomplete filing form (Material), and a system that is still transitioning to electronic (Machine). Training for improving coder qualifications, monitoring, along with evaluation, as well as a system of penalties and rewards to incentivize officers, would be preferred.

Abstract

Hyperuricemia is a condition of increased uric acid levels in the blood which plays an important role as an etiological factor in the occurrence of gout. Currently, gout is a public health problem that is increasing due to changes in lifestyle, consumption patterns, and low public knowledge about risk factors and their prevention. Misconceptions, such as the assumption that all joint pain is caused by gout and restricting the consumption of certain vegetables without scientific basis, are still widely found in society. This community service activity aims to increase public knowledge and awareness about gout through uric acid levels checks and the provision of health counseling. The activity was held in Mojorejo, Sragen, Central Java. The method used includes checking uric acid levels using a simple test tool followed by individual and group counseling. Counseling materials include the definition of gout, etiology, clinical manifestations, disease impact, prevention efforts, gout management, and traditional medicine. Evaluation was carried out through observation of active community participation and questions and answers during the counseling process. The results of the activity show high public enthusiasm, increased understanding of gout, and increased awareness to conduct routine health check-ups at health care facilities. This activity is expected to contribute to the promotive and preventive efforts of gout at the community level.

Abstract

Evidence regarding the relationship between sociodemographic factors and SNOMED CT user satisfaction remains limited, particularly within the context of kidney disease data management. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between sociodemographic factors and SNOMED CT user satisfaction regarding kidney disease data management in Indonesia. A cross-sectional study design was employed, involving 334 medical coders from across Indonesia who were recruited via purposive sampling during a webinar. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire developed by the researchers. Descriptive and bivariate analyses were conducted, the latter utilizing logistic regression. The results indicated that age was significantly associated with satisfaction (OR=2.68; 95% CI=1.01–7.09; p=0.047), while length of employment showed a significant but negative association (OR=0.55; 95% CI=0.30–0.97; p=0.041). Conversely, gender and training history did not demonstrate a significant relationship with satisfaction. Specific sociodemographic factors namely age and work experience—were associated with SNOMED CT user satisfaction levels, whereas gender and training had no significant impact. These findings highlight the importance of considering individual characteristics when optimizing SNOMED CT implementation in healthcare facilities.
