Abstract

Diarrhea is a state of defecation more than 3 times day accompanied by liquid stool in a 24-hour period (World Health Organization). The incidence of diarrhea in Indonesia is the number 2 cause of death in children under the age of 5 years. The knowledge possessed by a person, especially mothers, greatly influences the attitude of mothers in overcoming diarrhea in toddlers, because it is likely that diarrhea prevention measures at home by a mother are influenced by maternal knowledge, the better the mother's knowledge, the better the action against diarrhea prevention (Fani, 2020). So researchers are interested in examining the picture of maternal knowledge about diarrhea prevention in toddlers. This study aims to determine the picture of maternal knowledge about diarrhea prevention in toddlers in Neighborhood Association 02 Citizinens Association 03 Becirongengor Village. Analytical descriptive research design. The number of respondents was 40 mothers. This research will be conducted on January 16 – March 17, 2023. Assessment of the mother's picture of knowledge about the prevention of diarrhea in toddlers using questionnaires. Most mothers have sufficient knowledge of 30 people (75%), this shows that mothers have not been able to know about the prevention of diarrhea in toddlers properly and correctly. Due to the unclear receipt of information from competent health workers, it is difficult to receive information. The conclusion of this study is that the description of maternal knowledge about the prevention of diarrhea in toddlers in Neighborhood Association 02 Citizinens Association 03 Becirongengor village is mostly sufficient.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis which usually attacks the lungs. Tuberculosis is spread by man-made droplets. According to the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), it is estimated that there will be around 397,377 cases of tuberculosis throughout Indonesia in 2021. Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure is an increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of more than 90 mmHg at two measurements with an interval of five minutes in a state of adequate rest / calm (Ministry of Health RI, 2020). The incidence of hypertension at the Buduran Sidoarjo Health Center ranks 3rd with the number of patients served, which is 51.2% around 27,638. So researchers are interested in researching the incidence of hypertension. Objective: to determine the relationship between diet and the incidence of hypertension. Method: Quantitative analytical researcher design by using a cross sectional approach and using the chi-square test. The number of respondents was 40. This research will be conducted in February – March 2023. Dietary measurement with questionnaires and blood pressure measurement using a spghymomanometer. Results: Some respondents had a poor or poor diet with the results of 23 people (57.5 %), and had blood pressure hypertension grade 1 with an average systolic of 140-159 mmHg and diastolic 90-99 mmHg with the results of 23 people (57.5%). Analysis: Analysis in this scientific paper using the chi-square correlation statistical test obtained the result p = 0.091. This means that p is less than 0.10, so there is a relationship between diet and the incidence of hypertension at the Buduran Sidoarjo Health Center. Discussion: The majority of patients with hypertension have a poor or poor diet, it is also caused by other factors such as the age of the majority of the elderly, the gender of the majority of men, the last education of the majority of junior high school, and the work of the majority of housewives.

Abstract

Hypertension, a highly prevalent non-communicable disease, can lead to serious complications including kidney failure and stroke. It is well recognized that unhealthy dietary patterns significantly influence blood pressure stability. This study aimed to examine the correlation between dietary habits and blood pressure stability among individuals with hypertension at Sukodono Primary Health Center. A cross-sectional methodology with a quantitative descriptive design was employed. The sample, obtained through consecutive sampling, consisted of 43 respondents. Data were collected using a Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) and direct blood pressure measurements taken during three visits. Descriptive analysis with frequency and percentage distributions was applied. The findings showed that 17 respondents (40%) had unhealthy dietary habits, while 26 respondents (60%) reported healthy dietary patterns. Sixteen respondents (37%) experienced unstable blood pressure, whereas 27 respondents (63%) had stable blood pressure. The majority of respondents with healthy dietary patterns generally maintained stable blood pressure (96%), while most of those with unhealthy dietary patterns demonstrated unstable circulation (88%). This study concludes that nutritious food intake is strongly correlated with blood pressure stability in hypertensive patients. At the primary care level, modifying diets to reduce saturated fat and salt while increasing the intake of fruits and vegetables represents an essential strategy for managing hypertension
