Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah memberikan bimbingan Marlin test secara daring di masa pandemic COVID-19 ini guna meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris Maritim bagi alumni Pelayaran yang berada di Kecamatan Bukit Batu. Adapun permasalahan yang dihadapi antara lain koneksi jaringan dari peserta bimbingan yang sering tidak bagus sehingga membuat bimbingan menjadi sedikit terhambat dan memakan waktu dalam proses pembelajarannya. Bimbingan ini dilaksanakan sebanyak 8 kali pertemuan Dan sebanyak 15 sempai dengan 24 orang peserta via aplikasi online baik itu secara oral Maupin berupa latihan dalam bentuk tulisan. Target Dari bimbingan ini adalah peserta bias menguasai materi-materi yang berhubungan dengan pelaksanaan tes Marlin yang juga bias dilaksanakan secara online sehingga sebgai calon pelaut mereka bias mendpatkan sertifikat Marlin yang dapat digunakan dalam pengembangan karir mereka di masa mendatang. Selama kegiatan ini didaptkan hasil akhir yang menunjukkan peningkatan dalam mengerjakan beberapa penilaian yang diberkan oleh para tutor

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of discipline and self-leadership on the performance of the Directorate of Shipping and Maritime employees. The research method used in this study is a survey with the type of correlational research. The results showed the value of the correlation coefficient between leadership style and employee performance amounted to 0.613, leadership style can contribute to improving employee performance that is 37.5%. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient between work discipline and employee performance is 0.710, meaning that work discipline also contributes high enough to improve employee performance by 50.4%. Furthermore, the results of correlation and multiple regression of leadership style, and work discipline together with employee performance obtained a large correlation coefficient of 0.759 or 57.6%. In conclusion, the three independent variables are leadership style (X1), and work discipline (X2), which are variables that need attention. In other words, that the three independent variables are leadership style (X1), and work discipline (X2) are variables that are effective enough to improve employee performance. Abstract : Vocabulary is one of important elements to be mastered In learning a foreign language. However, in real condition, the students sometimes feel bored and less interested to learn vocabulary. The aimed of this study was to make a Crossword Puzzle Book to help students to learn English vocabulary. It was designed to help students to be more interested in learning vocabulary. There were several processes in making the book, started from collecting the material, designing and printing the book. The application used was Photoshop and Microsoft Office Excel. The source materials of the book were taken from several sources. They were English text book, dictionary and Internet. The arrangement of the content is thematic. Interesting topics were chosen and several images were added. Besides, there are 4 question types: Synonym, Antonym, Question based on image, and Description. This book provides students a review course material, so that, it is expected to help students in learning vocabulary and remember it easily.

The application of politeness can be found in daily life through behavior of deeds and words, it also can describes in a public service advertisement. The purpose of this research is to determine and explaine the types and markers of politeness depicted in Public Service Advertisement in Pekanbaru. This research is done chronologically based on three steps, they are; collecting of the data, analysis of the data and presenting the result analysis that is guided by methods and various techniques of language analysis. The data are collecting by observational method. Tap technique is used as the basic technique. In observing the data, pictures of the data are documented by using camera tool of observation. Besides, note-talking technique is also used in documenting the data. Data collected then is analyzed by using pragmatic identity method. The result of the analysis then is presented by using informal method. From the results of analysis, there found eights types of politeness that are applied in Public Service Advertisement in Pekanbaru. Related to politeness markers used in Public Service Advertisement in Pekanbaru there found three politeness markers. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan guna meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris Maritim dengan menggunakan aplikasi SMCP (Standard Marine Communication Phrases)bagi calon pelaut yang ada di kecamatan Bengkalis. Adapun mitra pengabdian ini adalah alumni pelayaran yang berasal dari kecamatan Bengkalis baik itu setingkat Sekolah menengah maupun setingkat akademi atau politeknik. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan atas beberapa faktor yaitu kurangnya informasi dan pengetahuan tentang Bahasa Inggris Maritim, Metode pembelajaran yang kurang variatif, pemberdayaan peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris Maritim tidak disosialisikan oleh pemerintah daerah, Ekonomi masyarakat yang tidak stabil. Dalam kegiatan ini diharapkan calon-calon pelaut di kecamatan Bengkalis bisa meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris Maritim dan bisa mengikuti ujian negara dalam pengambilan sertifikat pelaut. Kegiatan ini diikuti sebanyak 20-25 peserta dari berbagai alumni pelayaran di Bengkalis dan dilaksanakan selama 8 kali pertemuan di Laboratorium Bahasa Inggris Maritim, Jurusan Kemaritiman Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis. Adapun hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah peserta sangat aktif dan berhasil menyelesaikan semua persoalan yang diaplikasikan pada pembelajaran SMCP.

The aim of this study is to investigate the process of online learning in this pandemic as well as effective and optimal for studentsâ€™ online learning. The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic forced many universities to apply online learning. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative research. The data has collected by using observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Hopefully, this study will find which one is the most interesting online learning way by the lecturers to teach especially at the third semester students of Maritime Department, Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis. There are WhatsApp Group, Zoom, Google Meet and Google Classroom that the lecturers always use at this department. The study will suggest for students in online learning and the development of other media to implement effective online lectures that other researchers expose the solution to get more experience.Keywords: Students, Responses, Learning, Pandemic

The AX BOW type catamaran is a ship that is used specifically for recreational purposes between Beting Aceh Island, which has two hulls or catamarans. This design aims to obtain data on ax bow type catamaran tourism boats that are suitable for the Aceh shoal island. This design is intended to see a good performance of resistance, stability, weight, and cost calculations. In this study, the authors analyzed the investment feasibility of the AX Bow catamaran, the main size of the ship, L = 12.20 m, B = 4.089 m, H = 1.48 m, T = 0.62 m, then the process of designing a landing craft boat using Maxurft Modeler Advance. The results of the investment feasibility analysis are declared feasible because the Net Present Value is 0.11% and Profitability Index > 0.11 with a break even point in 3 years of operation and an interest rate of 12% per year on capital loans. The purpose of this research is to create a basic application of Maritime English that is useful in supporting learning and improving the skills of Maritime English cadets at Maritime Department especially for nautical program. Maritime English is one of the English language learning with a special purpose that is indispensable in communicating, maintaining safety and activities at sea both nationally and especially internationally. The research problem is many seafarers do not understand maritime terms, either in their daily conversations at sea, from ship to ship or ship to shore station, whether it's about health, safety, or security issues in the shipping industry. In this millennial era, it is very rare for sailors to read books to increase their knowledge because they tend to be boring and unpleasant. Therefore, as a basic step in the maritime department, researchers created an android-based application consisting of vocabulary and pictures about maritime English to increase interest in learning Maritime English. There are lots of English apps but not much about sailing. Therefore, with the proliferation of android-based gadgets, as the result, the researcher was successful find an application as a solution to support students or cadets as a basic learning in Maritime English.

The purpose of this research is to find out the factors that influence work discipline and self-leadership on the performance of employees at PT. Buana Listya Tama Tbk (Company), in encouraging the growing interest of all employees and leaders to carry it out in their respective fields of work, so that everyone in the company feels involved with the company's organizational culture. The research method used is a survey applying the type of correlational research. The results of the proposed research prove that the variables of leadership style (X1), work discipline (X2), both individually and collectively have a positive and significant relationship with employee performance (Y). In conclusion, the three independent variables of leadership style (X1) and work discipline (X2) are variables that need attention. In other words, that the three independent variables of leadership style (X1) and work discipline (X2) are quite effective variables for improving employee performance. Kapal Motor Jelatik merupakan kapal penumpang milik perusahaan PT. Putri Riau Sejati dengan kapsitas 205 Gross Tonage memiliki panjang 34,5 meter, lebar 6,9 m, dan tinggi 2,2 meter, dengan total crew 14 orang dan 194 orang penumpang kapal ini beroperasi daerah pelayaran terbatas yang melayani rute Selatpanjang ke Pekanbaru. Sesuai Peraturan Mentri Perbubungan No 61 tahun 2019 kapal penumpang wajib memiliki Fire Control and Safety Plan. Adapun cakupan pembahasan dalam Fire Control and Safety Plan, yaitu perencanaan jumlah dan peletakan Life-Saving Appliances (LSA), membuat perencanaan sistem proteksi dan pemadaman kebakaran, serta perencanaan rute evakuasi yang efektif dan cepat ketika keadaan darurat. Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah merancang Fire Control and Safety Plan, yaitu merancang kebutuhan LSA, merancang sistem proteksi kebakaran, serta menentukan rute evakuasi dan menghitung kebutuhan waktu evakuasi mengacu pada regulasi SOLAS, LSA Code, FSS Code, IMO, NCVS Indonesia, dan BKI. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa Kapal Jelatik wajib menyediakan 26 rigid life craft, 234 unit lifejacket dan 24 lifejacket anak-anak, 6 unit lifebuoy, 6 unit hand flares, 2 unit line towing appliance, 4 unit smoke signal, 8 unit parachute flares, 8 unit APAR, 9 unit Detektor, 1 unit co2 Bottle 2 unit sprinkler di kamar mesin, 2 unit pilar, hydrant dan 7 unit space monitored by smoke. Waktu evakuasi yang dibutuhkan dalam keadaan darutat untuk mengevakuasi seluruh penumpang dan crew kapal case 1 adalah selama 47,95 detik dan case 2 adalah 41,7 detik.
