Abstract

This research is a type of research and development that aims to develop and test the effectiveness of using smartphone-based interactive multimedia products using smart apps creator (SAC), which was developed through the development of the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects were teachers and students of class X IPA 1 SMAN 4 Gorontalo, as many as 28 students. The product is considered suitable for use based on the validity criteria from the assessment of the material, media, and learning design experts. The product is also considered effective based on the learning outcomes of students with a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. From the results of statistical analysis with the paired sample T-test where the value of  is 12,560 and the value of  is 2,05183, then . So, the hypothesis that there are differences in learning outcomes before using the product and after using the multimedia product is accepted. Then the effectiveness category is determined through the gain score test with the average gain score of 0.62 with a moderate classification and for the average percentage gain score of 62.25% with a fairly effective category.

Abstract

This article discusses the Effect of the Probing Prompting Learning Model on Students’ Learning Outcomes in a Rectangular topic to know the differences in learning outcomes of students whose learning uses the Probing Prompting Learning Model and learning outcomes of students whose learning uses the direct Learning Model in Rectangular topic. The method used is an experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling and the technique of data collection through tests in the form of essays. The result of the research showed that there were differences in learning outcomes of students whose learning uses the Probing Prompting Learning Model and learning outcomes of students whose learning uses the direct Learning Model, whereas learning outcomes of students whose learning uses the Probing Prompting Learning Model were higher than learning outcomes of students whose learning uses direct Learning Model in Rectangular Topic. Probing prompting can guide students to express their ideas so that a process of thinking can generate each student's knowledge and experience.

Abstract

The study's objective was to determine the effect of the mathematical communication abilities of students after applying the cooperative learning model type two stay two stray and direct learning on students' initial mathematical abilities. This quasi-experimental research uses a treatment-by-level research design. The study was conducted at SMA State 1 Wonosari Senior High School in the odd semester of the 2022-2023 academic year with a sample of 72 students in class XI. While the data were obtained from instruments in the form of essay and multiple-choice tests that each are intended to test students' mathematical communication abilities and initial mathematical abilities. Further, the data analysis used a Two-way Analysis of Variance to test the study hypothesis. The findings revealed that: 1) Students who are taught with the TSTS learning model have higher mathematical communication abilities than those who are taught with the direct learning model; 2) There is an interaction effect between learning models and initial mathematical abilities on students' mathematical communication abilities; 3) Students with high initial mathematical abilities who are taught with the TSTS learning model have higher mathematical communication abilities than those who are taught with the direct learning model; 4) Students with poor initial mathematical abilities who are taught with the TSTS learning model have lower mathematical communication abilities than those who are taught with the direct learning model.

Abstract

The increased rice production can be realized through the role of farmer groups as a forum for farmers to plan and carry out rice farming every planting season. This study aims to identify the factors that influence the role of farmer groups in increasing rice production, and analyze how much influence these factors have on the role of farmer groups. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method. The sampling technique was carried out purposively using the Random Sampling technique, namely by taking 25% of the total population of 280 farmer group members so that the sample results were 70 people. The data of this research are primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through interviews using questionnaires with members of farmer groups, while secondary data were sourced from the relevant agencies. The data obtained were then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis consisting of the F test and t test. The results showed that the factors of motivation, independence, and characteristics of the members of the farmer groups influenced the role of farmer groups in increasing rice production with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 60.1%. Meaning that the influence of other factors outside this study was only 39.9%.   Keywords:  Characteristics, farmers, motivation, production, rice, role, self-reliance

Abstract

When a teacher conducts an assessment of the ability of students to solve problems, a good test instrument is needed. However, in reality there are still many teachers who use test instrument without going through an expert assessment process, causing the assessment of student learning outcomes to be less than optimal. The purpose of this study was to produce a test instrument for high school students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The type of research used was Research and Development (RD). The sample used was students of SMA N 1 TAPA class XI IPA with a total of 100 people. The Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel (4D) development model was used in this research. The research was divided into 3 stages of the development procedure (preliminary study stage, development stage, and testing stage). The results of the study show that the resulting instrument is valid, with CVR and CVI = 1 and has a high level of reliability (0.77). Based on the results of the implementation of the test instrument in the field trial class, it showed that the assessment of student learning outcomes was more optimal, which was obtained if students' mathematical solving abilities were quite optimal even though there were still indicators that were included in the less category. By developing this test instrument, it will optimize teacher assessment in assessing student learning outcomes, especially in solving math problems.

Abstract

Pengabdian dilaksanakan di Desa Monas Dan Desa Dunu Kecamatan Monano Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara dengan tujuan untuk; 1) Mengoptimalkan potensi SDM; melalui; aksi nyata pemerintah desa dan kerja sama masyarakat untuk mengelola potensi Desa, FGD: Program utama; Optimalisasi Pelayanan Aparat Desa, Kepatuhan Hukum oleh Pemerintah Desa dalam pencegahan Stunting dalam situasi New Normal dalam pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat kawasan wilayah pesisir. 2) Pendampingan pelayanan Gizi untuk kesehatan masyarakat. Agenda kegiatan yang kedua untuk mengoptimalkan Pelayanan posyandu Desa/kelurahan/kecamatan, sebagai basis pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat; terutama untuk ibu hamil dan anak balita. Hasil yang dicapai berupat: (a) pelayanan optimal dari perangkat Desa. b) Peningkatan kesehatan Stunting c) Peningkatan kesejahteraan dan perekonomian serta e) ketrampilan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan lahan untuk produksi tanaman lokal untuk ketersediaan pangan.

Abstract

Peran matematika tidak hanya mengharuskan siswa dalam memahami seluruh materi, namun melatih siswa untuk berkemampuan berfikir kreatif, logis dan mampu memahami matematika yang relevan dengan aktivitas keseharian, yang dikenal dengan Kemampuan Literasi Matematika. Peneltian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika pada materi bentuk aljabar ditinjau dari self efficacy matematika. Metode penelitian yang diaplikasikan pada penelitian ini adalah dekriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan pada penelitian ini, diambil melalui hasil tes kemampuan literasi matematika siswa dan hasil wawancara. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VII MTs Al Mabrur Bone Raya Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 yang masing-masing diambil 2 orang berdasarkan tingkat self efficacy tinggi, sedang dan rendah dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang didapatkan kemudian direduksi dan dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan memperhatikan indicator-indikator proses kemampuan literasi matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan self efficacy tinggi mampu menguasai seluruh indikator proses kemampuan literasi matematika yaitu merumuskan, menggunakan dan menafsirkan dalam menyelesaikan seluruh soal. Sedangkan siswa dengan self efficacy sedang dan rendah mampu menguasai seluruh indikatorproses kemampuan literasi matematika yaitu merumuskan, menggunakan dan menafsirkan, namun hanya dalam menyelesaikan soal yang mampu dikerjakan saja.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the problem-based instructional learning model based on blended learning on learning outcomes in terms of students' mathematical anxiety. The research was conducted at SMK Negeri 3 Gorontalo. The type of research is Quasi Experiment with treatment design by level 2 x 2 using two-way analysis test and Tukey test. The results showed that the problem-based instructional learning model based on blended learning was effectively applied to students with low mathematical anxiety. This is indicated by the learning outcomes of students who have low mathematical anxiety in problem-based instructional learning based on blended learning of 85.39, better than the learning outcomes of students who have low mathematical anxiety indirect learning, which is only 63.44. This result is also strengthened through the -test with a significant level of 5% and showing .

Abstract

This article discusses the effect of the project-based learning model on student mathematics learning outcomes in cube and block material with the aim of knowing the differences in student learning outcomes taught using project-based learning models and learning outcomes using direct learning models on cube and block material. The method used is the experimental method with the Posttest only control group design design. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling, and the data collection technique is by administering a learning achievement test in the form of an essay. The results showed that there were differences in the learning outcomes of students who were taught using the project-based learning model and the learning outcomes of students who were taught using the direct learning model where the learning outcomes of students who were taught using the project-based learning model were higher than the learning outcomes of students who were taught using direct learning models on cube and block material. Project-based learning can increase student activity and student motivation in learning that aims to provide an understanding of critical, creative and innovative thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the skills of teachers in implementing variations in the teaching of curved surface solid geometry. The discussion of the curved surface solid focuses on the topic of spheres with the students of SMP Negeri 1 Paguyaman as the research subjects. Research data was obtained through observation of the teaching process and questionnaires. This study employed a descriptive research method to describe the use of variations in mathematics teaching. The study was conducted in class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Paguyaman. The research subjects were 27 ninth-grade SMP Negeri 1 Paguyaman students, consisting of 17 female and 10 male students. Data analysis was performed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results show that the use of variations in the teaching of mathematics on curved surface solids of spheres reached the "very good" category, with indicators: teacher’s ability to implement variations in teaching at 84%, student activity during the lessons at 84%, and positive student responses to the use of teaching variations at 86%.
