Abstract

The media exposure brought by many mass media today could not be stopped it again. Therefore media literacy education must be done soon. In the long term, media literacy education is hoped could realize social society tenacity particularly in facing social change caused by mass media. In the short term, media literacy education which is involved the member of PKK could realize media literacy society which is initiated by the smallest part of society, that is family. The research which is located in the District of Banyumas was done by using qualitative methods. The first year of research result shows that PKK cadre has had enough early knowledge about the kind of media with its positive and negative content although their knowledge is however limited on explicit content. Generally they also are as heavy viewer. Easily, availability, and informative content become the reason to access media. Most of PKK cadre in the District of Banyumas doing setting and monitoring as an effort to control the media impact particularly in their family. But they face a major problem which is limitation of information technology mastery and also the difference of taste and needs of their family.

Abstract

Diffusion of innovation consists of several components, one of which is the message or the innovation itself. There is a view that an innovation is often concluded with the adoption of an innovation by the community, when in fact it is not always the case. In line with this opinion as if the diffusion of innovations is only focus on the spreading of innovation to the community and innovation is seen as an idea, an idea, a method, a new product in development communication perspective. On the other hand as far as this empowerment is reviewing how to make a community can utilize its resources as much as possible so the people become empowered, eventhough in the process of empowerment is not solely rely on the ability of local only and ignore the role of the outsider. Outsider's contribution in the process of community empowerment is as a facilitator who assist the people to identify and to manage the social capital possessed to gain wider access in order to improve their quality of life. In this case, an innovation can be one of the important aspects of community empowerment

Abstract

It is a fact that since several decades television has become one one the most favourite medium for the audience. Television’s ability to hypnotise makes the audience do not reluctance to spend their time for hours in front of television. The variety of television programs become the alternative choice for the audience. Today, watching television as if a need for the people. The impacts are not only on the watching aspect, but it is also in content side. Television programming is like the truth and it should be convinced the audience. There is no restriction to watching television, but it will be better if people do not empower by television. The audiences should become empowered television viewers. Empowered in this case, the audience can choose and select an appropriate program which is matching with their need and using the television’s information as a modal to control their environment.

Abstract

The "digital divide" is a matter of differences in access to information technology opportunities that create disparities between individuals, businesses, and geographic areas at different socioeconomic levels. The increase in internet users in Indonesia reflects the fact that Indonesian society is starting to transform into an information society. The digital divide is classified into two types: First, there is the traditional digital divide, which consists of gaps in internet access and digital technology and the ability to use them optimally. Two: the new digital divide, namely the gap in knowledge about algorithms, data, and information. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced people, especially MSMEs, to adapt to digital technology. This study aims to let the authors know how the pandemic situation has accelerated the alleviation of the digital divide in the MSME group. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study. The results of the study show that the pandemic has caused MSMEs to adapt from conventional marketing models to digital marketing. Many MSMEs have been affected by the pandemic, but those that have been able to survive because they have transformed using digital technology. 16.4 million MSMEs are connected to the digital ecosystem, a significant increase during the pandemic. The government was quite responsive during the pandemic, trying to narrow the gap between the traditional digital divide and the new digital divide. The form is encouraging digital inclusion for MSMEs to enter the digital ecosystem in the form of holding online digital training, etc. The government must immediately realize the palapa ring to ensure connections and reduce blankspot areas.

Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic occurred in December 2019 hit almost all countries, causing many companies to terminate their employment, and resulting in high unemployment including Banyumas. This resulted in an increase in workers submitting Old Age Security claims to meet the needs of life. The surge in JHT claims and the implementation of PPKM is a challenge for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan as a public service institution to overcome problems and determine strategies for company sustainability, for this reason, Lapak Asik (Service Without Physical Contact) was created, namely a digital application as a means of submitting JHT claims. This study aims to analyze the corporate identity strategy of Employment BPJS in managing digital media and its role in service. The theory used is corporate identity and computer mediated communication. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the Purwokerto Employment BPJS had not optimally implemented corporate identity (behavior) indicators while the computer-mediated communication component had been implemented properly.

Abstract

Various tourism potentials exist in Penggarit Village, such as agricultural, religious, cultural, and natural educational tours. Mango has become the identity of Penggarit Village. Because this village is a producer of mangoes with the branding "Mangga Istana." Mango farming is a tradition (local wisdom) in the Penggarit village community. Almost every resident's house and garden have a mango tree. Penggarit Village seeks to increase tourism by holding a mango festival. The purpose of this study is to consider the Mango Festival as a communication media in the tourist attraction Pengarit Village. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method using case studies. The data in this study were generated through observation and interviews with informants. Four informants participated in this survey. Penggarit village chief, BUMdes director, Penggarit community chief, and Puskapik journalist. According to research results, Mango Festival is a cultural festival, flagship product festival, tourism village festival. This makes the mango festival a communication medium for Penggarit's tourist attraction. The composition of cultural attractions, natural resource attractions, and man-made attractions is mixed in such a way as to attract public interest. Beragam potensi wisata ada di Desa Penggarit, seperti wisata edukasi pertanian, religi, budaya dan alam. Mangga telah menjadi identitas Desa Penggarit. Sebab desa ini merupakan penghasil komoditas buah mangga unggul dengan branding “Mangga Istana”. Pertanian mangga sudah menjadi tradisi (Local Wisdom) bagi masyarakat Desa Penggarit. Hampir setiap rumah dan kebun warga memiliki pohon mangga. Desa Penggarit berupaya mengangkat daya tarik wisata dengan menyelenggarakan festival mangga. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji festival mangga sebagai media komunikasi dalam mengoptimalkan daya tarik wisata Desa Penggarit. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan studi kasus. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan informan. Informan pada penelitian ini berjumlah empat orang, yaitu Kepala desa Penggarit, Direktur BUMDes Wiguna Utama, Tokoh Masyarakat Desa Penggarit dan Jurnalis Portal Berita Puskapik. Hasil penelitian, festival mangga merupakan festival budaya, festival produk unggulan dan festival desa wisata. Hal ini menjadikan Mango Festival sebagai sarana komunikasi objek wisata Penggrit. Komposisi daya tarik budaya, daya tarik sumber daya alam dan daya tarik buatan dipadukan sedemikian rupa sehingga menarik minat atau animo masyarakat.

Abstract

The termination of the cooperation relationship with BPJS Health has caused a crisis condition in the form of a decrease in the number of patients at Ananda Hospital Purwokerto. For this reason, the public relations strategy is very important to overcome this problem. This study uses a type of qualitative research with a constructivist paradigm. The purpose of this study is to find out how the Public Relations strategy is in dealing with crisis conditions in the form of a decrease in the number of patients due to the termination of cooperation with BPJS Kesehatan. The method is descriptive, while the technique for selecting informants is carried out using a purposive sampling technique, namely by determining which informants are considered knowledgeable about the problem being studied. Through in-depth interviews with informants, it is known that Public Relations formulates strategies in the form of an internal and external program redesign. Internally, Ananda Hospital is trying to research and redesign the budget based on a priority scale. In addition, a strategy with management reshuffle was also carried out. Innovation is also offered through excellent service for several services Furthermore, public relations plays a role in formulating a strategy so that patient referrals are prioritized to government hospitals in the hope that patients can return for treatment to Ananda Hospital. Besides that, the physical appearance of Ananda General Hospital is also polished to provide a more comfortable and impressive appearance for patients and visitors. Public Relations also disseminates daily content promos according to the most updated events. For the external strategy, public relations optimizes commercial services, such as home care and medical check-ups. In addition, public relations together with the director routinely make external visits and join communities that have the potential to bring benefits. All of these internal and external services are disseminated through social media to optimize the expected goals.

Abstract

The Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Banyumas Regency continued to showed fluctuacting trend from 2017-2023, thus requiring more attention. This condition has prompted the Banyumas Regency Government to continuously make various efforts to curb the rising IMR in the future. These efforts are implemented through various programs to create understanding from the Banyumas Regency Health Office to the public. In executing these programs, there are public relations strategies used to support the optimal implementation of the programs. Each program has different objectives and target groups. This is based on the awareness that to control the Infant Mortality Rate, the government cannot focus on one target alone. Not only to create understanding among the public, but coordination among various health agencies is also important. This study aims to describe how public relations roles are utilized in each program that has been implemented to reduce the Infant Mortality Rate. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method with case study data analysis. The data analyzed are derived from documents of Banyumas Regency reports from 2017-2023, supported by other written documents from various sources. The results indicate that in maximizing the process of reducing and preventing the increase in Infant Mortality Rate, the Banyumas Regency government utilizes public relations roles in various forms. The utilization of various public relations activities is adjusted to the objectives of each program, both online and offline.

Abstract

Community participation is an important part of the implementation of community empowerment, which is generally carried out in the village. Women's participation, as a form of reducing gender inequality, contributes to efforts to maintain and develop tourism villages. The research aims to analyze the practice of women's participation in Cikakak Tourism Village. The research method used is a mixed method with data collection techniques including distributing questionnaires, conducting Focus Group Discussions, conducting in-depth interviews, and observation. The research informants include women's participation actors, such as family welfare empowerment groups, women farmers groups, business groups, and the village head. The research employs a qualitative research approach with a case study methodology. The results of the study show that women's participation in Cikakak Tourism Village has been carried out voluntarily and democratically, involving them in the process of planning and decision-making for Tourism Village activities, with a tendency towards a representative system. The women have contributed in various forms, such as in-kind contributions, labor, expertise or skills, and monetary contributions, which are adjusted based on the individual's capabilities. The most common form of contribution made by women is in the form of labor.

Abstract

The Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) in Banyumas Regency in 2021 was 44 maternal deaths, equivalent to a rate of 181.09 per 100,000 live births. The MMR target set in the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) for the period 2019-2024 is 70 per 100,000 live births, indicating that the target has not been achieved in Banyumas Regency. Based on the data on Maternal Mortality Ratio in Banyumas Regency, one of the interventions needed is the implementation of antenatal classes as a communication medium between pregnant women and healthcare providers. Antenatal classes provide pregnant women with increased knowledge about pregnancy, while healthcare providers gain a better understanding of the health conditions of each pregnant woman. The aim of this study is to examine how antenatal classes serve as a communication medium between pregnant women and healthcare providers. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method with purposive sampling to select three healthcare providers from Banyumas Primary Health Centers and five participants from antenatal classes as informants. The research focused on the Antenatal Class Program in Sudagaran Village. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results indicate that antenatal classes have been conducted in Sudagaran Village since 2012. As a communication medium, antenatal classes in Sudagaran Village serve as a platform for information dissemination, discussions, as well as education and value instruction for pregnant women in the community.
