Abstract

This study aims to obtain information on students' interest in learning on virtual classes in mathematics at SMA Negeri 1 Cikande. This type of research is quantitative with the research method used is descriptive method. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The research instrument used was a scale questionnaire of interest in learning mathematics. The population in this study were all students of SMA Negeri 1 Cikande, while the sample was class XI as many as 4 classes and XII as many as 5 classes totaling 233 students from 9 classes. The results obtained from this study indicate that student interest in learning mathematics virtual classes on four indicators, namely; 37.77% of students felt happy, 42.49% of students were interested in learning, 42.06% of students were involved in learning, and 47.21% of students showed attention into the learning. These results indicate that the interest in learning mathematics in mathematics learning in virtual classes needs to be increased.

Abstract

Some types of traditional games, such as bebentengan, have the same movements as some physical activities commonly carried out by individuals. Several studies on the effect of bebentengan on performance are still limited, so it is necessary to research the impact of bebentengan game treatment on aerobic capacity and agility. The research method used is an experimental method with one group pretest and posttest design without a control group, involving 20 teenagers from Serang City, Banten Province. The results showed that the bebetengan game treatment for three months increased the proportion of aerobic capacity by 5.27% and agility aspects by 3.28%. This study concludes that bebentengan games positively affect aerobic capacity and agility aspects in research subjects and can be used as an alternative to physical activity exercises.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the effect and the correlation between adversity quotient (AQ) and mathematical problem solving abilities in senior high school. The research method is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The steps of this research are develop research questions; selection criteria; developing the search strategy; the study selection process; coding studies; appraising the quality studies; and synthesis result. Based on the result of 147 articles, there are 32 articles that appropriate with the criteria. The result of this study shows that Argument Driven Inquiry, Ethnomatics Problem Based Learning, Scaffolding Problem Based Learning, Learning Cycle 7E through Mind Mapping, Thinking Aloud Pairs Problem Solving, Two Stay Two Stray and Discovery Learning can be the references of math learning because have positive effect for student’s abilities in understanding mathematical concept, problem solving ability, critical thinking, creative thinking, creative reasoning, learning achievement, self confidence, learning independence, and achievement motivation through AQ. The student’s problem solving abilities can be seen from the several types of AQ. The quitter  are students who give up easily, the camper are students who feel satiesfied quickly with the result, without checking the answer again, and the climber are students who never give up.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine and analyze the learning obstacles of students in  constructing proof on Real Analysis course. Samples are undergraduate at Departement of Mathematics Education is being contracted Real Analysis course of two state universities, namely the University Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) and the University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (Untirta). Data were collected through structured interviews. Students are given a number of evidentiary matter then conducted interviews to determine the errors that arise when developing a mathematical proof. The results showed that student difficulties when preparing evidence are: 1) start the proof, 2) definitions and axioms, 3) the form of algebraic manipulation, 4) integrate the definitions and / or theorems in a proof structure, 5) choose the way of proof, 6) choose the theorem to construct proof, 7) construct their own examples and counter examples.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan germane cognitive load (GCL) siswa ditinjau dari gaya belajar matematis siswa dengan metode kontekstual di smk. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari siswa yang bergaya belajar interpersonal, mastery, understanding, dan self-expressive. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) struktur skema pada siswa dengan gaya belajar interpersonal ini sesuai dengan struktur materi yang akan dipelajari, maka pada siswainterpersonal terjadi proses asimilasi (2) sebagian struktur skema pada siswa dengan gaya belajar mastery ini tidak sesuai dengan struktur materi yang akan dipelajari, ini menyebabkan terjadinya proses akomodasi (3) pada siswa understanding proses konstruksi pengetahuannnya di LTM dalam memahami soal kontekstual tidak bekerja dengan maksimum, hal ini disebabkan karena modifikasi struktur kognitif yang dimilki sebelumnya. (4) dan struktur skema pada siswa self-expressive tidak sesuai antara skema lama dengan skema baru, ini menyebabkan skema lama tidak dapat menyerap skema baru sehingga pada self-expressive terjadi proses akomodasi skema.

Abstract

This study aims to produce e-modules with a contextual teaching and learning approach that is valid, practical, and effective to increase students' interest in learning. This development research uses the Plomp model which consists of three phases, namely the preliminary research phase, the prototyping phase, and the assessment phase. The prototype trial was conducted on 16 eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Tirtayasa, Indonesia. The research instrument consisted of an expert validation sheet to assess the validity, a student response questionnaire to assess practicality, and a student learning interest questionnaire to assess the effectiveness of the e-module. This research produces an e-module with a contextual teaching and learning approach to increase the interest of junior high school students in learning mathematics in the context of everyday life. Although the increase in student interest in learning is still relatively low, overall the e-modules developed are considered valid, practical, and effective, so that they are suitable for use in learning mathematics in junior high schoolsKeywords: Mathematics Module, Contextual Teaching and Learning Interest in Learning Mathematics

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the Germane load judging from learning interest and learning styles of Senior High School in Virtual Class. This research will be implemented at SMPN 29 Tangerang City with a population of all class VIII students and the sample in this study is one class from class VIII in the 2020/2021 school year. The material is a two-variable system of linear equations. This study uses a qualitative method. Sampling of research subjects was done by purposive sampling. The data collection techniques are test techniques and non-test techniques. This research will use written tests, questionnaires, interviews, observations, documentation, and FGD (Forum Group Discussion). From 30 students, 12 students were selected as research subjects. The results of the analysis of the ability of Germane Load on the research subjects concluded that the ability of Germane Load depends very much on their learning interests and learning styles. The learning interests and learning styles of each student are indeed different, depending on several factors and also from the responses and views of each of these students in learning mathematics both in virtual classes, then from the material learning, also the conditions of their learning environments.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah guna melihat kemampuan siswa SMPN 1 Anyar dalam memahami konsep matematika dalam pembelajaran pasca pandemi Covid-19. Metode yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini ialah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian yakni siswa kelas IX-C SMPN 1 Anyar Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini menerapkan instrument tes berupa 7 soal uraian dengan fokus materi Persamaan Kuadrat dan instrument nontes berupa wawancara semi-terstruktur. Temuan tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa memperlihatkan dua peserta didik dengan kategori sangat baik, tiga peserta didik dengan kategori baik, delapan peserta didik dengan kategori sedang, sembilan peserta didik dengan kategori rendah, serta sepuluh peserta didik dengan kategori sangat rendah. Berlandaskan temuan penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa SMPN 1 Anyar pada pembelajaran pasca pandemic Covid-19 tergolong masih rendah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Cikande pada tahun ajaran 2019/2020, yang bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh self-efficacy dan kecemasan matematika terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian korelasional dengan metode kuantitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan lima kelas yang terdiri dari 158 siswa sebagai sampel penelitian. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMPN 1 Cikande sebanyak 291 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa instrumen tes kemampuan penalaran matematis, instrumen non tes berupa skala self-efficacy dan skala kecemasan matematika. Hasil penelitian menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana memberikan kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara self-efficacy terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa sebesar 8,11%, serta tidak terdapat pengaruh yang negatif dan signifikan antara kecemasan matematika terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Sedangkan hasil penelitian menggunakan uji regresi linear berganda memberikan kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara self-efficacy dan kecemasan matematika secara bersama-sama terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa sebesar 9,74%.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menyelidiki apakah terdapat penurunan kecemasan matematika pada siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning. kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain penelitian Non-equivalent pretest and posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa VIII SMP Negeri 1 Cibaliung tahun ajaran  2019/2020. Pengambilan  sampel menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan mengambil dua kelas secara acak.  Satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen yang mendapat model pembelajaran problem based  learning dan tau kelas sebagai kelas kontrol yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan model konvesional. Instrumen yang di gunakan yaitu intrumen non tes. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: terdapat penurunan kecemasan matematika pada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan model problem based learning.
