Abstract

Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk gaya bahasa personifikasi yang terdapat dalam lirik-lirik lagu grup band Seringai. Masalah yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini ialah mengenai bentuk, fungsi, makna, serta kesan imajinatif gaya bahasa personifikasi yang digunakan pada lirik-lirik lagu grup band Seringai. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan yang mengandung gaya bahasa personifikasi pada lirik-lirik lagu grup band Seringai. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah media elektronik (Internet) yang memuat lirik-lirik lagu grup band Seringai dan berupa lagu (Mp3). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Penyajian hasil dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode informal. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan sebanyak 29 wujud data personifikasi, data fungsi sebanyak 15 data fungsi memahami suatu hal, mengekspresikan suatu hal 12 data, dan fungsi mengontrol keinginan sebanyak dua data. Makna personifikasi yang dominan digunakan yaitu makna konvensional. Kemudian, wujud data kesan imajinatif yang ditemukan sebanyak 27 data.

Abstract

Critical discourse studies as manifested are not just an analysis of people's social behavior as reflected through language. In relation to critical discourse studies, the language units that are the object of study are narrated as a reflection of social praxis, where linguistic units that are suspected of containing criticism can be used as material to reconstruct the intent or purpose of conveying criticism; whether criticism is aimed only at building humor between epistemic groups or is it more than just criticizing, meaning that criticism is used to fight against the domination of power. This research aims to describe the status of criticism in the principles of interpretation of critical discourse studies, especially with regard to global, local meaning and context models. The source of research data was obtained by transcribing criticism of subpoena video footage on Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube channel. The research used a qualitative descriptive approach, in which data was collected using a free-to-read, skillful listening method. The data is then analyzed by interpreting the context, semantic macrostructure, local and global meaning, relevance of the formal structure of discourse, and interpretation of the context model using the extralingual equivalent method. The results of the research show that the criticism made by comedians on Deddy Corbuzier's summons channel contains three strategic problems which are manifested by interpreting global, local meanings, as well as the discourse context model in the criticism.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the extent of teachers' ability to implement the ability to ask questions in Indonesian learning based on the independent curriculum of State Elementary School 2 Masbagik Timur. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. In this study, the data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation. The collected data is analyzed through data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study showed that the teacher's questioning ability in learning Indonesian based on the independent curriculum at SDN 02 Masbagik Timur was still uneven, the observation results showed that teachers only carried out some aspects in questioning skills, aspects of questioning, especially advanced questioning, still need to be improved, besides that most teachers do not know the purpose and main function of questions. They only know questions only as intermediaries to find out the extent of students' understanding and are used only to attract students' attention. Lack of understanding and knowledge results in asking questions not to be considered in the teaching and learning process in the classroom, of course, these various shortcomings result in a less optimal teaching and learning process and the non-implementation of the desired learning objectives.

Abstract

The representation of masculinity in the Peaky Blinders Season 1 series is examined from Raewyn Connell's perspective. This research shows that this series represents masculinity through male characters, which include traits such as physical strength, dominance, and violence. This analysis uses Connell's theory of masculinity to identify how the series constructs and represents the concept of masculinity in a social and cultural context

Abstract

This research aims to describe the social reflections contained in the novel Pantai Girl by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Data collection in this research was carried out by reading and marking which refers to social reflection between characters in the novel Pantai Girl by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The results of this research found that the social reflection contained in the novel Pantai Girl consists of familial relationships, oppression of women, class differences (poor and rich, rulers and those ruled), human relationships with other people in coastal areas. This poverty incident includes a lack of income in coastal areas far from the city. Apart from that, the novel Pantai Girl contains things that exist in human relationships with other people.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve the ability of first-grade elementary school students to express apology and gratitude through the development of a lesson based on the traditional Indonesian game, Batun Bageq. Batun Bageq, a popular game in Indonesia, was used as a medium to enhance students' communication skills. The developed lesson included materials, methods, and media tailored to the needs and characteristics of first-grade students. The results showed that the game-based lesson significantly improved students' ability to express apology and gratitude in a more effective and interactive manner. Therefore, this lesson can serve as an effective alternative for enhancing students' communication skills in first-grade elementary school settings

Abstract

Students' critical thinking skills in Indonesian language lessons at SDN 37 Cakranegara's 4th grade have not developed optimally. Learning is still focused on textbooks, teachers have not assessed students' critical thinking abilities, and the learning model used by the teacher has not been able to improve students' critical thinking skills. This research aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning model on students' critical thinking skills and to understand the application of the Project Based Learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills. This study used an experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data collection techniques included tests (pre-test and post-test), observation, and documentation. The results show that the Project Based Learning model influences students' critical thinking skills in Indonesian language lessons for 4th graders at SDN 37. The Project Based Learning model also improves students' critical thinking skills, as indicated by an increase in each critical thinking indicator, such as providing simple explanations, building basic skills, making inferences, providing further explanations, and setting strategies and techniques.
