Abstract

This study aims to find out the extent of teachers' ability to implement the ability to ask questions in Indonesian learning based on the independent curriculum of State Elementary School 2 Masbagik Timur. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. In this study, the data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation. The collected data is analyzed through data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study showed that the teacher's questioning ability in learning Indonesian based on the independent curriculum at SDN 02 Masbagik Timur was still uneven, the observation results showed that teachers only carried out some aspects in questioning skills, aspects of questioning, especially advanced questioning, still need to be improved, besides that most teachers do not know the purpose and main function of questions. They only know questions only as intermediaries to find out the extent of students' understanding and are used only to attract students' attention. Lack of understanding and knowledge results in asking questions not to be considered in the teaching and learning process in the classroom, of course, these various shortcomings result in a less optimal teaching and learning process and the non-implementation of the desired learning objectives.

Abstract

The representation of masculinity in the Peaky Blinders Season 1 series is examined from Raewyn Connell's perspective. This research shows that this series represents masculinity through male characters, which include traits such as physical strength, dominance, and violence. This analysis uses Connell's theory of masculinity to identify how the series constructs and represents the concept of masculinity in a social and cultural context

Abstract

This research aims to describe the social reflections contained in the novel Pantai Girl by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Data collection in this research was carried out by reading and marking which refers to social reflection between characters in the novel Pantai Girl by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The results of this research found that the social reflection contained in the novel Pantai Girl consists of familial relationships, oppression of women, class differences (poor and rich, rulers and those ruled), human relationships with other people in coastal areas. This poverty incident includes a lack of income in coastal areas far from the city. Apart from that, the novel Pantai Girl contains things that exist in human relationships with other people.

Abstract

Students' critical thinking skills in Indonesian language lessons at SDN 37 Cakranegara's 4th grade have not developed optimally. Learning is still focused on textbooks, teachers have not assessed students' critical thinking abilities, and the learning model used by the teacher has not been able to improve students' critical thinking skills. This research aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning model on students' critical thinking skills and to understand the application of the Project Based Learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills. This study used an experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data collection techniques included tests (pre-test and post-test), observation, and documentation. The results show that the Project Based Learning model influences students' critical thinking skills in Indonesian language lessons for 4th graders at SDN 37. The Project Based Learning model also improves students' critical thinking skills, as indicated by an increase in each critical thinking indicator, such as providing simple explanations, building basic skills, making inferences, providing further explanations, and setting strategies and techniques.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan refleksi sejarah PKI dalam Novel Tentang Kamu karya Tere Lie. Fokus pendeskripsiannya adalah subjek kolektif dalam novel yang mencerminkan sejarah PKI. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif menggunakan teori strukturalisme genetik. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan metode telaah dokumen. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode struktural genetik. Berdasarkan paparan hasil dan pembahasan penelitian diketahui bahwa subjek kolektif novel Tentang Kamu karya Tere Liye yang mencerminkan peristiwa pemberontakan PKI, ada yang tergambar melalui unsur instrinsik, latar belakang pengarang, dan latar belakang sosial budaya tempat karya itu lahir. Disimpulkan bahwa (1) Subjek kolektif unsur instrinsik tampak pada penggunaan latar waktu, tempat, dan suasana/sosial. Latar waktu berupa pembrontakan PKI tahun 1948 dan 1965, latar tempat berupa lokasi pembantaian oleh PKI di Pabrik-pabrik tebu atau Loji-loji Kebun Tebu, dan latar suasana/sosial berupa hiruk pikuk dan pesta pora PKI saat pembantaian tokoh-tokoh agama; (2) Subjek kolektif latar belakang pengarang sebagai akuntan tergambar pada perjalanan tokoh Sri Ningsih dalam pengelola perusahaan dan penyusunan wasiatnya; dan (3) Subjek kolektif latar belakang sosial budaya tempat sastra itu lahir berupa penggunaan seni drama tradisional Ketoprak (dari Surakarta) dan Ludruk (dari Surabaya) sebagai media mempengaruhi masa.

Abstract

Issues of environmental degradation and the marginalization of local cultures have become increasingly prominent in contemporary Indonesian literature as a response to the exploitation of natural resources and the penetration of modernity that threaten the sustainability of indigenous communities. Okky Madasari’s novel Mata di Tanah Melus strongly represents the complex relationship between humans, nature, and the culture of the Melus community in Belu, East Nusa Tenggara, within the context of ecological conflict. This study aims to describe the forms of ecological conflict and local cultural resistance represented in the novel by applying Greg Garrard’s ecocriticism framework, particularly the concepts of wilderness, apocalypse, dwelling, and pastoral. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method using content analysis of the novel. The findings reveal that ecological conflict is portrayed through forest destruction, disputes over ancestral land, the exploitation of Mount Lakaan, and violence against nonhuman beings, reflecting both ecological and cultural crises. Meanwhile, local cultural resistance is manifested in harmonious living practices with nature, the preservation of traditional rituals, respect for sacred landscapes and animals, and efforts to defend living space from capitalist expansion. These findings affirm that the novel not only presents a narrative of ecological conflict but also offers a critique of modern anthropocentric paradigms and positions local wisdom as a foundation for sustainable ecological ethics.
