Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan membahas kajian inovasi pembelajaran sosiologi melalui pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi bagi guru SMA/MA di Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi oleh berlakunya Kurikulum 2013 secara serentak di Gunungkidul pada tahun 2017 sehingga guru perlu mengembangkan pembelajaran inovatif  melalui media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi. Subjek yang terlibat adalah guru sosiologi, peserta didik, kepala balai pendidikan menengah dan nonformal setempat, pengawas guru/sekolah, dan dosen. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui metode interview, focus group discussion, praktek, dan simulasi. Data dianalisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil pembahasan mendeskripsikan 1) Permasalahan Pembelajaran Sosiologi berbasis Kurikulum 2013 di Kabupaten Gunungkidul berkaitan dengan kebutuhan pengembangan media pembelajaran; 2) Inovasi Pembelajaran Sosiologi SMA/MA di Kabupaten Gunungkidul dilaksanakan dengan pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi; 3) Pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi dalam bentuk video pembelajaran dengan aplikasi movie maker dan hasil pengembangan media dapat menunjang praktek pembelajaran sosiologi bagi siswa.  Kata kunci : Kurikulum 2013; media pembelajaran; sosiologi; teknologi informasi; video pembelajaran

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan membahas metode pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis Teknologi Informasi (TI) bagi guru sosiologi SMA/MA di Kabupaten Purworejo. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tuntutan pengembangan kompetensi guru untuk dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sosiologi salah satunya dengan pengembangan bahan ajar. Bahan ajar berbasis TI menjadi alternatif karena menyesuaikan perkembangan situasi pembelajaran saat ini yang dekat dengan perkembangan teknologi, sekaligus menyesuaikan dengan karakteristik peserta didik yang mampu dan senang mengoperasikan perangkat elektronik (telepon selular). Subjek yang terlibat adalah guru sosiologi SMA/MA yang tergabung dalam MGMP Sosiologi Kabupaten Purworejo, Jawa Tengah. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan focus group discussion. Teknik analisis dengan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan 1) Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan adalah bahan ajar sosiologi untuk kelas X, XI, XII SMA/MA berdasarkan kurikulum 2013; 2) Aplikasi yang digunakan adalah html 5 dengan Construct 2; 3) Alat yang dibutuhkan adalah komputer/laptop, internet, materi. Metode pengembangan bahan ajar sosiologi berbasis teknologi informasi dilakukan dengan 1) analisis situasi/kebutuhan, 2) penyusunan bahan ajar, 3) workshop dan simulasi, 4) evaluasi hasil bahan ajar. Dari metode tersebut diperoleh desain model bahan ajar berbasis teknologi informasi dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi game Html 5 dengan Construct 2. Desain model bahan ajar ini dapat digunakan di kelas untuk menyampaikan materi sosiologi menggunakan perangkat elektronik yang dimiliki peserta didik berupa komputer, laptop maupun handphone. Kata kunci: Aplikasi Contruct 2, Bahan Ajar Sosiologi, Teknologi Informasi

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui partisipasi masyarakat dalam pemberdayaan Kampung Anggur Plumbungan dan mengetahui dorongan masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi dalam pemberdayaan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Informan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 8 yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi masyarakat dalam pemberdayaan Kampung Anggur Plumbungan dapat dilihat dari tahapan, bentuk, jenjang kesukarelaan dan tingkatannya. Adapun dari tahapannya mulai dari tahap perencanaan melalui rapat dan studi banding, tahap pelaksanaan berupa pelatihan, budidaya anggur, festival, dan gotong royong, tahap pemanfaatan hasil baik segi ekonomi, sosial, dan SDM, serta tahap evaluasi yang dilakukan setiap kegiatan selesai. Partisipasi masyarakat terwujud dalam bentuk pemikiran, tenaga, uang, barang, dan jasa. Dilihat dari tahapan dan bentuknya, partisipasi masyarakat diklasifikasikan ke dua jenjang kesukarelaan yaitu partisipasi spontan dan partisipasi tertekan oleh aturan. Dorongan masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi dalam pemberdayaan Kampung Anggur Plumbungan berasal dari dalam dan dari luar. Kebutuhan ekonomi, adanya rasa ingin tahu, adanya harapan untuk menjadikan kampungnya lebih baik dan maju merupakan dorongan dari dalam. Sedangkan faktor media, adanya rasa keterpaksaan, ikut-ikutan dengan dorongan solidaritas, dan adanya peran tokoh masyarakat merupakan pendorong secara ekternal.

Abstract

This study seeks to see how students use search engines in learning and uncover the side effects of googling for students during a pandemic. This study combines a phenomenological approach to explore the condition of students while using a search engine and digital ethnography by looking at historical search data. The researcher conducted interviews with high school students in Yogyakarta from various backgrounds and traced the digital footprint of their search accounts. The research results show that googling for students changes learning activities into searching for information. During the pandemic, googling replaces the role of the teacher and becomes a student’s study buddy. Learning becomes an individual activity, “Do It Yourself” becomes a jargon for learning, and the easiest way to learn is to use a search engine. However, googling has hidden dangers that slowly reduce learning abilities, stunting students’ critical thinking. Behind the ease of googling, there are side effects of using search engines that are not realized: (1) Googling eliminates long-term memory, (2) makes students indolent to read in-depth, (3) increases academic dishonesty and (4) reduced critical thinking.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has revolutionized the field of education. Online learning is the right solution to replace in-person learning. Improvement and development of the online learning process are really needed to provide a meaningful learning experience for students. This study aimed to examine the implementation of online learning in the Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta/FIS UNY during the pandemic. The quantitative observational approach with a cross-sectional survey was employed with the qualitative method done in group discussions. The respondents were selected using proportional stratified random sampling on all study programs in FIS UNY. Data were collected through an online survey and limited interviews to investigate students’ and lecturers’ experiences of online learning more deeply. In FIS UNY, online learning was mostly conducted through online synchronous learning. Besides, online learning was done using a learning management system developed by the university (BeSmart). There were several factors that influenced the practice of online learning at the faculty, namely the availability of learning devices, speed and stability of internet connection, and conducive learning environment. As many as 25.6% of students had issues related to learning devices. Then, 66.9% of the students stated that they did not have a stable internet connection which caused problems during the learning process. At last, 62.79% of the students admitted that it was difficult to focus on the learning process because their learning environment was not conducive. Besides IT skills, students’ independence and learning motivation were the internal factors influencing the online learning process. Another issue related to online learning was the lack of responses and feedback from the lecturers on the activities done by the students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fenomena Beauty Vlogger yang menyebabkan terbentuknya perilaku konsumtif di kalangan mahasiswi Yogyakarta dan dampak yang ditimbulkan karena perilaku konsumtif yang dilakukan mahasiswi akibat pengaruh dari tayangan Beauty Vlogger. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Yogyakarta. Informan dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan narasumber berjumlah 9 mahasiswi. Sumber data penelitian berupa data primer dan data sekunder, dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi dan wawancara. Validitas data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik fenomenologi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terbentuknya perilaku konsumtif mahasiswi Yogyakarta dikarenakan mahasiswi mengalami proses simulacra, simulacrum dan hipperealitas, setelah menonton tayangan Beauty Vlogger pada channel youtube, yang berdampak menyebabkan mahasiswi berperilaku konsumtif untuk selalu tertarik membeli produk yang diulas oleh Beauty Vlogger.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the characteristics of the present generation (Millennials / Gen-Z) as part of providing an overview for teachers to better understand their students, so that they have an impact on improving the quality of learning. The research used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were students / high school students in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and focus group discussions. Data analysis was carried out using an interactive approach where the data that had been collected was then reduced to simplify the information obtained and then presented and concluded descriptively. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of today's students differ from those of the previous generation. Students currently have self-confidence, creativity, competitive competitiveness, realistic realism, curiosity, independence, and exclusive exclusivity. From the character of students, the effort to recognize the prospective teacher is to change the mindset, encourage the creativity of prospective teachers in developing the learning process and empowerment strategies, and it is necessary to develop a variety of creative and innovative learning media, able to utilize technology to support the learning process and increase the intensity of communication and encourage inclusiveness. The ability of teachers to understand the characteristics of students is the key to achieving effective and enjoyable learning. Teachers inevitably have to merge and enter into the thinking of millennials/gen-z.

Abstract

The National Commission on Violence Against Women in Annual Record Data 2021 stated that there were 1309 cases of violence in personal relationships in 2020. Among these cases, psychological, physical, and sexual aggression is the most prevalent. This research aims to explore what forms of violence in dating, i.e., domination and intimidation, are experienced by adolescents. This research uses a qualitative approach, with data collected through survey methods. The findings show that domination and intimidation are experienced by more than half of adolescents in dating relationships. The two forms of domination are expectations from and sacrifice for a partner. Meanwhile, the forms of intimidation are speaking in a high tone, threatening, and inflicting fear to do something without the partner’s permission. This violence continues perpetuating, with Doxic through rules that are never considered coercion. This research has implications for educating the adolescents about various forms of violence in relationship that are often considered as a normal things.

Abstract

Penggemar musik underground – sebagai bentuk sub-kultur – merupakan komunitas yang membangun identitas sosial tertentu guna mempererat dan memperkuat ikatan internalnya. Upaya tersebut ditunjukkan dalam pemaknaan tarian Moshing yang dilakukan dalam pentas-pentas musiknya. Untuk mendalaminya, peneliti melakukan pengamatan berperanserta dan mewawancarai beberapa informan, yaitu para penggemar musik underground yang sering terlibat dan melakukan Moshing. Hasilnya, terdapat empat tema yang muncul sebagai makna yang dipahami oleh informan, antara lain moshing sebagai ruang ekspresi dan apresiasi, sebagai wadah penerimaan, penguat relasi dan pekerjaan, serta sebagai aktivitas olahraga. Selanjutnya, peneliti menemukan bahwa dalam memaknainya, terdapat makna lain yang dapat dikategorikan sebagai sebuah tujuan dalam keterlibatan informan atas tarian ini, yaitu: untuk melepaskan emosi dan ketegangan (katarsis), dan sebagai peneguh identitas.Underground music fans – as a form of subculture – are a community that builds a certain social identity to strengthen and tighten its internal bonds. This effort is shown in the meaning of the Moshing dance performed in its music performances. To explore this further, the researcher conducted participant observation and interviewed several informants, namely underground music fans who often engage in and perform Moshing. As a result, there were four themes that emerged as meanings understood by the informants, including: moshing as a space for expression and appreciation, as a place of acceptance, strengthening relationships and work, and as a sports activity. Furthermore, the researcher found that in interpreting it, there were other meanings that could be categorized as a goal in the informant's involvement in this dance, namely: to release emotions and tension (catharsis), and as an identity reinforcer.

Abstract

The community service is training for Sociology’s teachers in Bantul. This activity is to equip teachers about learning media knowledge and application of instructional media. There are many activities which are conducted to be applied and practiced in sociology classes so that sociology learning becomes interesting and not boring for learners. Training is done through varied lecture methods, discussions, and frequently asked questions. Various lecture methods are used to convey concepts that are important to be understood and mastered by the participants. The material given is the type and characteristics of instructional media. Learning media is devoted to learning videos. Question and discussion methods to provide opportunities for participants to consult in understanding the making of learning media and video learning. Making learning videos using the Windows Movie Maker program. From the training process the teacher is able to produce the learning video of class X, XI, XII. Video learning can be used in learning. Activity is supported by several factors. These factors are First, the existence of adequate experts from the Department of Education Sociology FIS UNY, the two participants are enthusiastic, the three principals who support the activities, and the four fa. The obstacles faced were the different basic abilities of participants and time management participants due to the various tasks of the school that caused their focus not to total training materials.
