Abstract

The growth of the construction industry in Indonesia triggers an increasing need for an efficient project management system, especially in presenting project data accurately and in real-time. PT Dream Island Development (PT DID), a specialist MEP contractor company, faces challenges in presenting project reports to executives because the data is still presented in the form of Excel tabulations which require up to three days of processing time and are difficult to interpret quickly. This research aims to design an interactive dashboard-based project data visualization system using Google Data Studio (Looker Studio) to present project information intuitively and responsively. The method used includes a software engineering approach with five main stages: requirements analysis, data warehouse design, ETL process using Pentaho Data Integration, visualization using Google Data Studio, and testing using User Acceptance Test (UAT). Project data from 2022-2024 was modeled using a star schema and displayed in four main dashboards: project cost, project value, project progress, and details per project. The test results showed a high level of user satisfaction with a functionality score of 93.5%, reliability 91.33%, usability 96%, and efficiency 94.66%. These findings indicate that the developed system effectively supports PT DID's needs in project monitoring and data-based decision-making. The system also has the potential to be replicated in other construction companies as an efficient and scalable business intelligence solution. This research contributes to the growing body of construction informatics by integrating Kimball’s nine-step methodology with modern data visualization tools to enhance project transparency and decision-making.

Abstract

Learning Management Systems (LMS) play a critical role in modern education by organizing content, facilitating communication, and supporting student assessment. However, most current LMS platforms depend on manual grading and generalized feedback, which can be inefficient and lack personalization. This research enhances LMS capabilities by integrating deep learning techniques—specifically Natural Language Processing (NLP)—to automate assessment and deliver personalized feedback. The system analyzes student input, such as written assignments and discussion forum posts, to evaluate performance and generate real-time, adaptive feedback. A modular framework was developed using a Bidirectional LSTM-based architecture trained on sequence data with regression objectives. The model was evaluated using the Mean Squared Error (MSE) metric. The results show that the model performs reasonably well, with predictions closely aligned to actual values in most cases, although its performance decreases slightly at the distribution extremes. Visualization via scatter plots further confirms the model's ability to capture context and structure in textual input. These findings demonstrate the model's feasibility in educational environments and its potential to reduce instructor workload while improving the quality of feedback. Future work will consider integrating attention mechanisms and multilingual capabilities for broader applicability.

Abstract

Introduction: Forecasting, often referred to as prediction, can actually help assess conditions or predict future sales. In the business world forecasting is crucial because it can help companies plan their future operations especially when faced with sudden increases and decreases in sales and stockpiles. Especially in retail forecasting is extremely helpful in purchasing merchandise, managing inventory in the warehouse, and reducing losses due to changing customer preferences. Ari's shop, located on Jalan Raya Samu, Singapadu Kaler, Gianyar, Bali, also experiences increases and decreases in monthly sales. Therefore, it is hoped that this sales forecasting can help maintain more stable and smooth operations. Methods: This study used two methods to forecast sales: Fuzzy Time Series (FTS) and Simple Linear Regression (SLR), to predict figures from Ari's shop's monthly sales data. Both methods use the same dataset, which is Ari's Store sales data for 13 months, from January 2024 to January 2025. The forecast results are then compared using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), which measures the model's accuracy in predicting results. Results: Based on the sales forecasts performed, both models produced fairly accurate predictions due to their low MAPE values, below 10%. Of the two methods, Simple Linear Regression provided more accurate results with a MAPE of 3.57%. Meanwhile, the Fuzzy Time Series method produced a MAPE of 5.53%. This difference in values indicates that the linear regression model is more appropriate for Ari's Store sales data, especially since the data pattern tends to follow a linear trend.

Abstract

The digital era has fundamentally transformed classroom instructional approaches, shifting the focus from completing subject matter to meaningful student engagement and active knowledge construction. Grounded in constructivist learning theory and principles of computational thinking, this study aims to examine the effectiveness of interactive mobile learning as a technology-enhanced instructional innovation in digital systems education. The innovation integrates multimedia, interactivity, and problem-based activities to support students’ analytical and algorithmic reasoning. A quasi-experimental method was employed, involving 112 students enrolled in a digital systems course, with a nonequivalent control group pretest–posttest design. Data were analysed through multivariate analysis of covariance, independent T-tests, and N-gain analysis to evaluate learning effectiveness. The results revealed significant effects, both partial and simultaneous, with the experimental group consistently outperforming the control group. T-test findings indicated statistically significant differences between students using interactive mobile learning and those receiving conventional instruction. Furthermore, N-gain analysis showed improvements of 0.65 in computational thinking skills and 0.70 in learning achievement, categorised as medium to high gains. These findings confirm that interactive mobile learning effectively enhances learning outcomes. Therefore, it is recommended that educators integrate interactive mobile learning into digital systems instruction to foster students’ computational thinking and academic achievement.
