Abstract

Midnight’s Children merupakan sebuah novel realistis magis yang menjadi salah satu karya terabik dari salman rushdie yang terbit pada 1981. Novel ini berkisah tentang anak-anak yang lahir tengah malam di tanggal 15 agutsus 1947 yang bertepatan dengan hari kemerdekaan Negara India. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk menggambarkan kehidupan di India setelah poklamasi kemerdekaan yang digambarkan oleh Salman Rushdie melalui kehidupan anak-anak tengah malam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatip desriptif dengan metode analisis konten. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra dalam memahami hubungan karya sastra dengan fenomena sosial yang terjadi di India pada awal kemerdekaan.

Abstract

The title of this research is the fulfillment of Need Main Character Lina in the Novel Between Shades of gray by Ruta Sepetys. Lina is the main character in the novel who tries to fulfilled her needs when she and her family were deported by the Soviet red army. This research aims to find out how Lina fulfilled her needs through the theory of the hierarchy of needs fulfillment by Maslow. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, in which the researcher presented the data in a descriptive form or the data itself is not presented in the form of numbers. The approach used is a literary psychology approach while researchers use reading and note-taking techniques as data collection techniques. The final results of this study show that Lina has succeeded to fulfilling her needs according to hierarchy of needs fulfillment theory. Abstract

The title of this research is the Friendship Values ​​of Anna in the Novel When Marnie Was There by Joan G Robinson. This study aims to find out how the two main characters, namely Anna and Marnie, live their friendship. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods to describe Anna and Marnie's friendship values, the approach used in this study is an objective approach. The results of this study show that the friendship of the two characters, namely Anna and Marnie, has friendship values ​​of self-disclosure, intimacy, self-esteem support, loyalty, prosaically behavior. Abstract

The title of this research is Perasaan Tokoh Utama dalam Kumpulan Puisi Karya Anne Bradstreet. This research aims to find ot the feelings of the main character and the deep structure in a poem collection by Anne Bradstreet. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method and objective approach. the result of the research show that the feelings experienced by the main character are due to the pain from illness she suffering from and the sadness she is experiencing. The main character also not only describe the feelings that she feel, but also there is a feeling of acceptance or surrender to all destiny that give by God, fear to the God and gratitude to the God.
