Abstract

As one of the largest natural rubber exporters in the world, Indonesia has global potential to conquer the rubber export market. This condition is indicated by the high value of Indonesia's natural rubber exports to the global market. Based on the current world natural rubber export data of 64.8%, this value is of course controlled by the world's two largest rubber exporters, one of which is Indonesia at 28.8%. This study aims to determine the effect of exchange rates, consumption, and gross domestic product on Indonesian rubber exports according to the main destination countries. The method used in this study is the panel data regression method of the five main destination countries for Indonesian rubber exports, namely the United States, Japan, China, India, and South Korea in the 2013-2019 period with a fixeffect model. This data is secondary data obtained through a trade map and world bank and processed using Eviews 11. The results showed that consumption and exchange rate variables had a significant effect, while the GDP variable had no significant effect on rubber exports in Indonesia by destination country.

Abstract

Coal exports represent a significant component of the Indonesian economy, contributing to the country's foreign exchange earnings. In the context of globalization and international trade, Indonesia's coal export volume is influenced by a range of external factors, including exchange rates and coal prices in the international market. This study aims to determine the effect of exchange rates and international coal prices on Indonesia's coal export volume. This study employs time series data from 1992 to 2022 and the Error Correction Model (ECM) analysis method, utilizing the EViews 12 software, to examine the long-term and short-term relationships between the exchange rate and international coal prices and the volume of Indonesian coal exports. The results of the analysis indicate that in the short term, exchange rates and international coal prices do not exert a significant influence on the volume of Indonesian coal exports. Nevertheless, in the long term, the exchange rate and international coal prices exert a significant influence on the volume of Indonesian coal exports.

Abstract

One of the factors that can increase a country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is through international trade activities. This study aims to identify the factors that influence Indonesia's Crude Palm Oil (CPO) exports in the global market, focusing on certain variables. The research method used is a quantitative approach using secondary data from sources such as Bank Indonesia, World Bank, UN Comtrade, Statistics Indonesia, and GAPKI. Time series data from 1992 to 2022 was used in this analysis. The analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression models with the E-views 12 analysis tool. The results showed that the exchange rate and international CPO price had a positive and significant influence on Indonesia's CPO export volume. However, the inflation variable was found to have a negative, albeit insignificant, influence on Indonesia's CPO export volume.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of local government spending on infrastructure, education and health sectors on development inequality in Java and the Eastern Region. This research uses a quantitative approach, using panel data consisting of 18 provinces over a period of five years (2017-2021). The data analysis involves three main steps: (1) testing the model using the Chow test, Hausman test, and Lagrange multiplier test; (2) conducting classical assumption tests including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests; and (3) performing hypothesis testing using t-test, F-test, and determination coefficient (R²) test. Research results shows that spending in the infrastructure sector has a negative impact on development gaps. Every 1% increase in local government spending on infrastructure can reduce the development gap by 1%. On the other hand, spending in the education sector has a positive and significant impact, where a 1% increase in spending will increase the development gap by 1%. Expenditures in the health sector do not have a significant impact on the development gap between Java Island and the Eastern Region.
