Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan sumber minyak yang berbeda terhadap kecernaan lemak dan kualitas daging ayam broiler. Ternak percobaan sebanyak 144 ekor unsex dan sumber minyak (minyak sisa penggorengan, minyak kelapa sawit dan minyak bekatul). Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 6 perlakuan  dan 4 ulangan (masing-masing unit berisi 6 ekor). Perlakuan yang diterapkan meliputi T1 (ransum dengan 1,5%  minyak sisa penggorengan), T2 (ransum dengan 3%  minyak sisa penggorengan), T3 (ransum dengan 1,5%  minyak kelapa sawit), T4 (ransum dengan 3%  minyak kelapa sawit), T5 (ransum dengan 1,5%  minyak bekatul) dan T6 (ransum dengan 3%  minyak bekatul). Parameter yang diukur meliputi kecernaan lemak, bobot relatif lemak abdominal, massa lemak daging dan massa kolesterol daging.  Data diuji menggunakan uji Anova dan uji beda nyata Duncan pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan minyak berbeda berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kecernaan lemak, bobot relatif lemak abdominal, massa lemak dan kolesterol daging. Kesimpulan adalah penggunaan minyak bekatul 1,5 and 3% (T5 and T6) pada  ayam broiler mampu menurunkan kecernaan lemak, bobot relative lemak abdominal, massa lemak dan kolesterol daging.Kata kunci: sumber minyak berbeda, kecernaan lemak, kualitas daging, ayam broilerABSTRACTThe research aims to determine the utilization of different oil sources on fat digestibility and meat quality broiler chicken. Experimental animals were 144 birds of unsex dan oil sources (waste oil, palm oil dan rice bran oil). The present experiment was assigned in a completely randomized design with 6 treatments and 4 replications (6 birds each). Treatments were as follows: T1 (diet with 1,5% waste oil), T2 (diet with 3% waste oil), T3 (diet with 1,5% palm oil), T4 (diet with 3% palm oil), T5 (diet with 1,5% rice bran oil), and T6 (diet with 3% rice bran oil). Parameter measured were fat digestibility, relative weight of abdominal fat, fat meat mass and cholesterol meat mass. Data were subjected to analysis of Anova and Duncan of level 5%. Results of the present study indicated that the feeding of three different oil sources of significantly (P<0,05) on fat digestibility, the relative weight of abdominal fat, fat meat mass, and cholesterol meat mass. In conclusion that feeding of 1,5 and 3% rice bran oil (T5 and T6) in diet broiler chicken able to decrease fat digestibility, the relative weight of abdominal fat, fat meat mass, and cholesterol meat mass.Keywords: different oil sources, fat digestibility, meat quality, broiler chicken

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of dietary inclusion of 2% synbiotic (Lactobacillus casei + dahlia tuber extract/LEDT or Lactobacillus casei + garlic extract/LEGT) on intestinal bacteria, nutrient digestibility, and growth of broiler chickens. A total of 150 birds of one-day-old male Cobb broiler were randomly assigned into three groups of treatment with five replications (10 birds each). Dietary treatments applied were T0 = basal ration, T1 = basal ration + 2% LEDT, T2 = basal ration + 2% LEGT. Synbiotics were given to starter chicken (from 2 to 3 weeks old). Parameters observed were intestinal bacteria (total lactic acid bacteria/LAB and coliform counts), nutrients digestibility, and body weight. Data were subjected to analysis of variance and followed by Duncan test. The results showed that the population of intestinal LAB in synbiotic-treated birds significantly (P<0.05) increased while coliform decreased as compared to control group. Protein and crude fiber digestibilities, and growth of broiler chickens given dietary inclusion of synbiotic either LEDT or LEGT were also significantly (P<0.05) higher than those fed control diet. In conclusion, dietary inclusion of 2% synbiotic LEDT increase body weight of broiler chickens through the improved balance of intestinal microbiota and nutrients digestibility.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of addition of onion skin flour (OSF) and garlic skin flour (GSF) on feed digestibility of crude protein, body weight gain and carcass percentage of Mojosari ducks. The research used 168 Mojosari duck males aged 4 weeks and had an average weight of 335.5 ± 72 g/duck (CV = 7.8%). The study used completely randomized design with7 treatments and 4 replications (T0 = basal feed (BF); T1 = BF + 3% OSF; T2 = BF+ 6% OSF; T3 = BF+ 3% GSF; T4 = BF+ 6% GSF; T5 = BF + 1.5% OSF + 1.5% GSF; and T6 = BF+ 3% OSF + 3% GSF).The results showed that the protein digestibility was found higher (P <0.05) in T6 (80.08%) than T0 (74.76%), T1 (73.71%), and T2 (75.54%). Meanwhile, protein digestibility of T4 (79.26%) were higher (P <0.05) than T1 (73.71%). Another findings showed that body weight gain of T0 (15,88 g) were lower (P <0.05) than T1 (18.48 g); T2 (18.42 g); T3 (17.96 g); T4 (19.77 g); and T6 (19.05 g). The addition of OSF and GSF could not influence (P>0.05) the duck carcass percentage. The study concluded that the addition of 6% GSF and combination of 3% OSF + 3% GSF could improve crude protein digestibility and weight gain, but was not able to increase the percentage of duck carcasses. Keywords: duck, digestible protein, body weight, carcas

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of administering a combination feed of calcium microparticle protein with Lactobacillus acidophilus or citric acid on fat digestibility and the meat of broiler chicken. The cattle used in this research are 15 days old broiler chickens, amounted in 160 chickens. The study uses complete random design (RAL) with 5 treatments and 4 repeat treatmens (8 chickens each). The treatment applied were as follows: T0 (non-microbial feed (protein 21%)), T1 (non-microparticle feed (18% protein + Lactobacillus acidophilus 1.2 ml (108 CFU/ml)), T2 (non-microparticle feed (18% protein + Citric acid 1.2%), T3 (Microparticle feed (18%) + Lactobacillus acidophilus 1.2 ml (108 CFU/ml)), T4 (microparticle feed (18% protein + Citric acid 1.2%). The observed parameters are the digestibility of fat, fat mass of meat, the percentage of abdominal fat and the increase in body weight. The analyzed data results were variegated and continued using Duncan's multiple range test at a 5% probability. Treatment was given from the age of 15 days to 42 days. The results of the study show that the digestibility of fats that had the treatment of feeding protein and calcium microparticles with the addition of real effect Lactobacillus acidophilus is lower than the T0 and T2 but not unlike the T1 and T4 (P<0.05). The fat mass of meat and abdominal fats in the T4 treatment has a real difference (P<0.05) and at the lowest of the T0, T1 and T2 but different from T3. Higher weight increase in T3 treatment is compared to T1, T2 and T4 but not different from T0. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that feeding microparticles of protein and calcium with Lactobacillus acidophilus 1.2 ml can decrease fat digestibility and increase weight gain but not in the fat mass of meat and abdominal fat percentage. Keywords : broiler, citric acid, Lactobacillus acidophilus, microparticle.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the digestibility of crude protein, calcium and phosphorus retention in rations using gamal leaf and cekuti leaf flour on grower turkey poults. Animals used were 8 weeks old turkey, totaling 100 unsex. The study used a randomized block design (RBD) using 5 treatments and 4 groups. Grouping was based on body weights; group 1 has a weight of 725 - 849 grams, group 2 has a weight of 850 - 974 grams, group 3 has a weight of 975 - 1099 grams, group 4 has a weight of 1100 - 1224 grams, each group consisting of 25 turkeys. The treatments given include T0 = without any gamal and cekuti given, TI = giving rations with 5% gamal, T2 = giving rations with 10% gamal, T3 = giving ration with 5% of cekuti and T4 = givingration with 10% of cekuti. The data obtained were carried out by the F test and Duncan's multiple range with a level of 5%. The results showed that the use of gamal leaf flour and scruff on the ration for grower turkey had a significant effect (P˂0.05) on crude protein digestibility, calcium and phosphorus retention and in grower turkey. The conclusion is that as much of 5% gamal leaf flour can be used in turkey rations.

Abstract

Tujuan riset untuk mengetahui nilai kecernaan protein dan energi metabolis pada perebusan biji alpukat sebagai bahan pakan alternatif campuran ransum ayam broiler. Ternak percobaan yang digunakan yakni ayam broiler sebanyak 30 ekor umur 35 hari dengan bobot badan 1.505,12±10,50 g. Bahan dan alat yang digunakan meliputi biji alpukat, penampung ekskreta, HCl 0,2 N dan alat force feeding. Rancangan percobaan memakai Uji T-tes, disetiap perlakuan berisi 15 ekor. Perlakuan yang diujicoba diantaranya tepung biji alpukat tanpa perebusan (P0) dan tepung biji alpukat dengan perebusan 60 menit (P1). Variabel yang diamati yakni kecernaan protein dan energy metabolis murni. Data diolah menggunakan uji t-tes pada taraf 5%. Berdasar uji t-tes menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung biji alpukat secara tunggal dengan perebusan selama 60 menit berpengaruh nyata (p<0,05) terhadap kecernaan protein serta energi metabolis murni pada ayam broiler. Kesimpulan yakni tepung biji alpukat yang direbus selama 60 menit (P1) yang diberikan secara force feeding mampu meningkatkan kecernaan protein dan energi metabolis murni dan dapat menjadi bahan pakan alternatif sebagai campuran ransum ayam broiler.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan ekstrak buah Noni (Morinda citrifolia) dalam ransum terhadap profil lemak pada ayam broiler. Sejumlah 200 ekor ayam broiler dengan bobot badan 245,67 ± 10,27 g, eksktrak buah Noni (EBN), ethanol absolute, kertas saring, spuit, vacum tainer, alkohol dan alat tulis digunakan pada penelitian ini. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan (masing-masing diisi 10 ekor). Perlakuan yang diterapkan meliputi Kontrol (+) = Ransum control/RK, Kontrol (-) = RK+Bacitracin 0,04%, T1= RK+EBN 0,04%, T2= RK+EBN 0,08%, dan T3= RK+EBN 0,12%. Parameter yang diukur meliputi kolesterol, trigliserida, high density lipoprotein dan low density lipoprotein darah. Data dilakukan uji Anova dan beda nyata Duncan pada taraf 5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa penambahan EBN berpengaruh (p<0,05) terhadap kolesterol darah, trigliserida, high density lipoprotein dan low density lipoprotein. Penambahan EBN pada level 0,12% (T3) mampu menurunkan kadar kolesterol, trigliserida dan low density lipoprotein darah serta meningkatkan high density lipoprotein darah dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Simpulan adalah profil lemak darah yang ditambahkan EBN sampai level 0,12% (T3) mampu menjaga kesehatan tubuh.

Abstract

Revolusi industri 4,0 menyebabkan perubahan gaya konsumsi masyarakat, menjadikan makanan siap saji dan siap masak sebagai alternatif untuk memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi. Konsumsi makanan cepat saji mulai menjadi kebiasaan di masyarakat karena jenis makanan ini mudah didapat, dapat dilayani dengan cepat dan kemudahan layanan pengiriman. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat adalah untuk memberikan keterampilan kepada peserta (kaum muda dan ibu rumah tangga) untuk menghasilkan variasi makanan daging ayam, dalam bentuk makanan siap masak (nugget) dan makanan siap saji (sempol). Tujuan lainnya adalah membuka peluang bisnis rumahan, dengan pola bisnis online sehingga dapat membantu pendapatan rumah tangga. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan metode eksplorasi dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat. Tahapan kegiatan terdiri dari persiapan, konseling, pelatihan, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah bahwa peserta dapat memahami materi konseling tentang strategi untuk mengelola pengeluaran untuk konsumsi makanan, inovasi dan pembuatan pengolahan daging ayam, serta memulai bisnis online. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan program layanan dapat meningkatkan wawasan dan keterampilan peserta (remaja dan ibu rumah tangga) di Desa Mangunharjo, semua peserta dapat mengolah daging ayam menjadi berbagai produk olahan (nugget dan sempol) dan beberapa peserta tertarik untuk merintis bisnis online.
