Abstract

The household income comes from the income of fishermen's household groups (husband, wife, children, and other family members) and works (fishers and non-fishermen). The amount of household income strongly influences the consumption pattern of anglers households. This study aims to analyze the amount of income, food consumption patterns, and the relationship between income and the model of fishermen household food consumption. The population in this study were all fisherman households in Panyula Village, East Tanete Riattang District, Bone Method District. The research's location was carried out purposively, considering that the area is mostly coastal areas, and the livelihood of the community is fishermen. Determining the sample of 10% using a simple random method (simple random sampling), so the number of samples selected is 50 fisherman households. Data were analyzed using the method of income analysis, expected food patterns (PPH), and Chi-square. The results showed that the income structure of fishermen's household originated from the husband's income of 60.3%, the wife 3.8%, the children 30.4%, and the profit of other family members 5.5%. Sources of income based on the type of work, namely from work as fishermen, amounted to 80.5% and alternative jobs other than fishers by 19.5%. The pattern of fishermen's household food consumption based on the Expected Food Pattern is 90% in the shallow category, and there are no respondents insufficient and proper groups. The relationship between income and household food consumption patterns of fishers is not significant.

Abstract

This study aimed to 1) evaluate the implementation of activities for the Acceleration of Food Consumption Diversification (P2KP) in Makassar City, 2). to analyzing the correlation between P2KP activities and the Expected Food Pattern (EFP) score in Makassar City, 3) analyzing/identifying changes in the quality of food consumption after participating in P2KP activities. The population in this study was the Women Farmers Group (WFG) beneficiaries of P2KP activities as many as 8 KWT in 8 sub-districts. Each sub-district has one WFG consisting of 30 households, so that the total population is 240 household. The sample was determined by Simple Random Sampling, namely 20% of the population, so there were 48 household. The results showed that the P2KP program in Makassar City with the success rate of program implementation included in the high category, namely 79.4%. There is a very significant relationship between P2KP activities and the Expected Food Pattern (EFP) score. There was a change in the quality of food consumption as reflected in the change in the Expected Food Pattern (EFP) score before and after P2KP activities. The higher the EFP score, the more diverse the food consumption.

Abstract

One of the agricultural development goals is to develop farming businesses that spur economic activity, create jobs and improve people's welfare. The research was conducted in Barugae Village, Mallawa District, Maros Regency. The location selection was carried out purposively, considering that Barugae Village is one of the centers for developing elephant ginger in Maros Regency. The purpose of this study was to analyze (1) the implementation of elephant ginger farming, (2) the production and income of elephant ginger farming, and (3) the feasibility level of elephant ginger farming. The method used in selecting the sample is simple random sampling. This study uses descriptive analysis, production and income analysis, and feasibility analysis. The results showed that the implementation of the elephant ginger farming agribusiness system did not work well because the farming subsystem needed to comply with the advice of extension agents, and support services were generally unavailable. The average elephant ginger production at the farm level is 3,029.41 kg, the production per hectare is 6,885.03 kg/Ha, and the average income of farmers is Rp. 18,176,470.59, and the income per hectare is Rp. 41,310,160.43 /Ha. The income level of elephant ginger farming received by farmers is IDR 17,151,241.69 and IDR 38,980,094.75 / Ha. The value of the R/C - a ratio of elephant ginger farming is 17.73, meaning that elephant ginger farming in Barugae Village, Mallawa District, Maros Regency, is feasible and profitable because the amount of revenue is higher than the costs incurred.

Abstract

A coffee shop (cafe) offers a relaxed atmosphere for fast food and drink. A good cafe can provide satisfaction for consumers in terms of service, affordable products and prices, and adequate equipment and facilities. The research objectives are: (1) Describe the coffee drink production process and (2) Describe product quality. (3) Describe consumer satisfaction with the quality of coffee drink products. (4) Analyzing the influence of coffee drink product quality on consumer satisfaction. The population of this research is consumers who make purchases directly at the "From Heart" coffee shop in Makassar City. The sampling technique was Purposive Sampling, with a total of 100 respondents. The research results show (1) The coffee drink production process begins with procuring and selecting the main ingredients, namely coffee beans, grinding them to become powder, and procuring/selecting additional ingredients in the form of flavor variants. The ground coffee beans are mixed with the flavor variants according to the consumer's wishes; then, the packaging process is carried out. (2) The quality of the coffee drink product, namely performance, features, aesthetics, and conformance to specifications, is in the "very good" category. (3) The level of consumer satisfaction based on emotional factors, price, and service quality in the "very satisfied" category. (4) The influence of the quality of coffee drink products, namely performance, features, aesthetics, and conformance to specifications, together (F test) or partially (t-test), has a significant effect on consumer satisfaction.

Abstract

Sidrap Regency is a rice production center in South Sulawesi. The abundant rice production impacts the increase in the rice milling industry and the community's economic growth. Government policy aims to protect farmers by maintaining high rice prices, but on the other hand, it must protect farmers by maintaining high rice prices. On the other hand, it must protect consumers by lowering rice prices. Entrepreneurial knowledge is an important variable in studying its influence on business success. This study aims to describe the entrepreneurial knowledge of rice milling managers in Sidrap Regency, describe the level of success of rice milling businesses, and analyze the effect of entrepreneurial knowledge on the success of rice milling businesses. The survey was conducted using the saturated sampling method on 32 rice milling business units. Quantitative descriptive and multiple regression analyses were used to test the research hypothesis. The results showed that entrepreneurial knowledge scored 1,065, meaning that rice milling business managers have knowledge of business, roles, responsibilities, personality, self-ability, management, and organization. In addition, the level of success of rice milling businesses scored 403, including the flourishing category. It showed increased sales volume, business profits, and labor utilization. The entrepreneurial knowledge variable also has a significant and positive influence on the success of the rice milling business.

Abstract

Rapid business development has given rise to tight market competition. Every day business people appear to introduce products with new creativity and innovation. One of the snacks offered on the market is brownies with the brand "Browcyl". The research objectives are: 1) Describe variants, prices and sales volumes 2) Analyze consumer perceptions of marketing communications, product innovation and prices 3) Analyze purchasing decision making. 4) Analyze the influence of marketing communications, product innovation, and price on purchasing decision making. The population is consumers who buy directly. The sampling technique was purposive with a total of 50 respondents. Data analysis is descriptive and multiple linear regression. Research results: 1) The product type consists of 8 variants, namely: original unti, choco almond, pandan, cheese, tiramisu, cheesecream, chocolate flan, and moccaramel. The price for Browcyl banana brownies ranges from IDR 50,000 – IDR 68,000. The total sales volume during April–August 2023 averages 308 pcs. 2) Consumer perceptions of marketing communications, product innovation and high category prices. 3) Purchasing decisions consisting of 5 stages, namely, problem/need recognition, information search, alternative evaluation, purchasing decisions and high category post-purchase behavior. 4) The marketing communication variables, product innovation and price on the purchasing decision making process have a very significant effect simultaneously and partially.
