Abstract

This study analyzes how human resource management (HRM) influences business performance and sustainability in a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) operating in the telecommunications sector, namely Disa Cloud, located in Bekasi. The research is motivated by the critical role of effective human resource management in enhancing competitiveness and long-term viability of MSMEs amid rapid technological change in the telecommunications industry. A qualitative research approach was employed using a combination of literature study, in-depth interviews, and direct observation. Primary data were collected through interviews with the owner and employees of Disa Cloud, complemented by on-site observations to gain a comprehensive understanding of HR practices, organizational culture, and operational dynamics. The findings indicate that well-implemented HRM practices—such as clear job division, employee training and skill development, effective communication, and performance evaluation—have a positive impact on employee productivity, service quality, and overall business performance. Moreover, good HR management contributes to employee motivation, adaptability to technological changes, and organizational resilience, which are essential for sustaining growth in the telecommunications sector. However, challenges remain in terms of limited resources and the need for more structured HR planning. This study provides practical insights for MSME owners, particularly in the telecommunications industry, on the importance of strengthening HR management as a strategic asset. The results can serve as a reference for developing more effective and sustainable HRM strategies in similar MSMEs.

Abstract

In an era of business transformation marked by extreme volatility and the uncertainty of the strategic environment, modern organizations face ongoing pressure to achieve operational excellence while maintaining adaptive flexibility. The complexity of contemporary challenges demands the integration of managerial approaches that emphasize procedural efficiency and strategic responsiveness through the synergy of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling (POAC) and Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA). This study aims to systematically analyze POAC-PDCA integration to improve organizational agility, strategic effectiveness, and sustainable adaptability in a dynamic business environment. The research method used Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA protocol, analyzing 12 high-quality Scopus journals for the period 2019-2024 from five main academic databases. The results showed that the POAC-PDCA integration was able to increase time responsiveness by up to 70%, operational flexibility through a 53% reduction in setup time, and measurable strategic adaptability across the health, manufacturing, port, and waste management sectors. The conceptual model developed positions POAC as the structural foundation that strengthens the PDCA cycle as a sustainable diagnostic-corrective mechanism. The study's conclusions affirm that successful integration is achieved through vertical alignment, horizontal integration, systematic feedback loops, and a culture of continuous improvement, requiring technological support and organizational mindset transformation to achieve the optimal balance between operational stability and strategic flexibility.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment and workload on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously, at PT XYZ in Karawang Regency. The research method used was quantitative with a descriptive and verification approach. The study sample consisted of 263 respondents, determined using the Taro Yamane formula with a probability sampling technique through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires, interviews, and observations. Data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS 21, preceded by tests for validity, reliability, normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity. The results showed that the work environment had a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a calculated t-value of 7.296 and a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05). Workload also had a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a calculated t-value of 14.457 and a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05). Simultaneously, the work environment and workload have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a calculated F-value of 356.941 and a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05). They explain 73.1% of the variation in employee performance based on an Adjusted R-Square of 0.731. The conclusion of this study indicates that a conducive work environment and a proportional workload play a significant role in improving employee performance, with workload being the variable with a more dominant influence than the work environment.   Keywords: Workload, Employee Performance, Work Environment

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of human resource competence and motivation on the work effectiveness of Junior Officer employees at PT Pupuk Kujang Cikampek. A quantitative research design employing descriptive and explanatory approaches was used. Data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to 134 Junior Officer employees and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 25. The findings indicate that human resource competence and motivation each have a positive and significant effect on work effectiveness. Competence contributes 6.14% to work effectiveness, while motivation contributes 13.50%, indicating that motivation exerts a stronger influence than competence. Simultaneously, both variables explain 29.7% of the variance in work effectiveness, with the remaining 70.3% attributable to other factors outside the scope of this study. These findings demonstrate that improving employee competence and strengthening work motivation are essential for enhancing organizational effectiveness. This study contributes to the human resource management literature by providing empirical evidence on the complementary roles of competence and motivation in improving employee work effectiveness and offers practical implications for organizations in designing integrated competency development and motivational strategies to enhance workforce performance. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and work discipline on employee performance at the Purwakarta Regency Environmental Agency, both partially and simultaneously. A quantitative approach utilizing descriptive and verificative methods was employed. The study population consisted of 111 Civil Servants (PNS), all of whom were included in the sample using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires, interviews, and literature reviews, while data analysis involved multiple linear regression, the coefficient of determination, t-tests, and F-tests using SPSS version 26. The results indicate that competence has a positive and significant partial effect on employee performance, with a calculated t-value of 2.817 and a significance level of 0.006 (< 0.05). Work discipline also has a positive and significant partial effect on employee performance, with a calculated t-value of 5.241 and a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05). Simultaneously, competence and work discipline exert a positive and significant influence on employee performance, with a calculated F-value of 73.854 and a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05). The Adjusted R-Square value of 0.570 indicates that competence and work discipline account for 57% of the variation in employee performance. The study concludes that competence and work discipline—both partially and simultaneously—have a positive and significant impact on employee performance, with work discipline exerting a more dominant influence than competence.   Keywords: Work Discipline, Employee Performance, Competence, Civil Servant, Human Resources
