Abstract

Overseas students usually have difficulty finding boarding houses around Malikussaleh University. To get information on boarding houses, they have to search manually, so the time needed to find a boarding house can be very long. The purpose of this research is to produce a Geographic Information System that can make it easier for students to find information about the location of boarding houses, provide recommendations in selecting boarding houses, and find the shortest distance for each boarding house to campus. By using the MAUT method combined with an algorithm A* can provide recommendations in selecting boarding houses and provide the shortest distance from the location of each boarding house to the Campus. The results of this study resulted in recommendations for boarding houses based on the results of ranking using the MAUT method. The boarding houses with the top three rankings are 4G Boarding House, Ceiza Boarding House, and Hj Boarding House. Madriah. With distance of 0.75 km, 2.01 km and 1.38 km. With an algorithmA* to find the closest route it can be concluded that the MAUT method and algorithm A* is a combination that can be used in evaluating boarding houses and solutions in searching for the shortest distance.

Abstract

The distribution of Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) often faces challenges related to data accuracy and fairness in recipient selection. This study aims to develop a web-based decision support system for selecting BLT recipients in Panton Labu Village using the Multi-Factor Evaluation Process (MFEP) method. The system was developed following the Waterfall software engineering model, utilizing PHP for programming and MySQL for database management. Data were collected through field observations, literature reviews, and interviews with village officials. The MFEP method evaluates prospective recipients based on six criteria: employment status, number of dependents, homeownership, building type, floor type, and monthly income. The system incorporates a Geographic Information System (GIS) feature to visualize applicants' home locations, with color-coded markers indicating eligibility. Testing on 120 data entries revealed that 34.2% (41 individuals) qualified for assistance using a minimum threshold score of 3.00. The system successfully automated calculation processes, enhanced transparency through digital mapping, and provided a user-friendly interface. This implementation demonstrates the effectiveness of the MFEP method in supporting objective, systematic, and targeted decision-making for social assistance programs at the village level

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem peramalan yang akurat dan efektif menggunakan metode Fuzzy Time Series (FTS) untuk memprediksi kebutuhan konsumsi air pada Perusahaan Umum Daerah Air Minum (PERUMDA) Tirta Pase Aceh Utara. Sistem peramalan ini dibangun dengan memanfaatkan data historis distribusi dan produksi air bersih yang diperoleh dari pihak PERUMDA selama periode 2023 hingga 2024. Dalam pengembangan sistem, digunakan pendekatan model Unified Modeling Language (UML) untuk merancang tahapan pengembangan sistem, dimulai dari pembuatan Use Case Diagram, Sequence Diagram, hingga Activity Diagram. Model-model ini digunakan untuk menggambarkan proses sistem, interaksi pengguna, serta alur data yang mendukung pengolahan informasi dalam sistem peramalan. Metode FTS dipilih karena kemampuannya dalam menangani data deret waktu yang mengandung ketidakpastian, serta kesederhanaannya dalam pengolahan data tanpa memerlukan proses pelatihan yang kompleks. Sistem yang dikembangkan bertujuan untuk memberikan prediksi yang lebih akurat terkait kebutuhan air bersih, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu dalam pengelolaan distribusi air yang lebih efisien. Implementasi sistem ini berhasil memberikan hasil yang dapat diandalkan dalam memprediksi kebutuhan konsumsi air secara lebih tepat waktu. Dengan keberhasilan penerapan sistem ini, PERUMDA Tirta Pase Aceh Utara kini dapat membuat keputusan yang lebih baik dalam merencanakan dan mengelola pasokan air, serta memastikan ketersediaan air yang cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat di wilayah tersebut. Sistem ini juga dapat diadaptasi dan diterapkan pada wilayah lain yang menghadapi permasalahan serupa dalam pengelolaan distribusi air bersih.Kata kunci: Fuzzy Time Series, Prediksi Kebutuhan Air, Distribusi Air, PERUMDA, UMLAbstract: This study aims to develop an accurate and effective forecasting system using the Fuzzy Time Series (FTS) method to predict water consumption needs at the Perusahaan Umum Daerah Air Minum (PERUMDA) Tirta Pase Aceh Utara. The forecasting system is built by utilizing historical data on water distribution and production obtained from PERUMDA for the period from 2023 to 2024. In the system development process, a Unified Modeling Language (UML) approach is used to design the stages of system development, starting with the creation of Use Case Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Activity Diagrams. These models are used to represent system processes, user interactions, and data flows that support the information processing in the forecasting system. The FTS method was chosen for its ability to handle time-series data containing uncertainty, as well as its simplicity in data processing without requiring complex training processes. The developed system aims to provide more accurate predictions regarding clean water needs, thus serving as a tool for more efficient water distribution management. The implementation of this system has successfully provided reliable results in predicting water consumption needs in a more timely manner. With the successful application of this system, PERUMDA Tirta Pase Aceh Utara can now make better decisions in planning and managing water supply, ensuring sufficient water availability to meet the needs of the community in the region. Abstract

Determining school majors at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) is an important process that must consider various factors such as academic grades, interests, and talents of students. However, the determination of the applicable majors still has problems due to several factors such as the environment or parents' requests so that the selection of students' majors is not in accordance with the abilities and talents of students. The selection of majors is also still done manually, so it is less efficient and takes a long time. This research aims to design and build a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method that is useful for helping schools determine majors that are in accordance with student abilities. This decision support system combines various criteria such as report card scores, academic test results, and practical skills to provide optimal majoring recommendations. The WASPAS method was chosen because of its ability to combine the Weighted Sum Model (WSM) and Weighted Product Model (WPM) methods, which results in more accurate calculations. The calculation test results show that the system built is able to provide major recommendations more quickly and effectively compared to the manual method. This system is expected to help schools in managing student majors more efficiently and objectively.

Abstract

The rapid development of Decision Support Systems (DSS) has provided significant benefits, especially in supporting decision-making across various fields, including determining credit loan eligibility within cooperatives. Loans involve transactions in which lenders provide funds or assets to borrowers under agreed-upon terms. DSS is essential for enhancing objectivity and reducing the risk of non-performing loans arising from subjective evaluations. This study produces a web-based DSS capable of evaluating the loan eligibility of cooperative members by implementing the Evaluation Based on Distance from Average Solution (EDAS) method, combined with Rank Order Centroid (ROC) weighting. The system analyzes several criteria, such as collateral, membership status, loan amount, loan term, income, remaining loan balance, and payment status. The EDAS method generates a ranking based on eligibility, with alternative N0071 achieving the highest score of 0.907, followed by N0004 with a score of 0.830, and N0019 with a score of 0.762. The results of the system testing indicate that the loan eligibility calculations produced by the system are accurate and consistent with manual calculations, achieving a match of 95%. This ranking simplifies the cooperative's decision-making process. Furthermore, the system accelerates the loan eligibility determination process, enabling cooperatives to serve their members more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Learning styles play an important role in determining the most effective teaching strategies by aligning instructional methods with students’ individual preferences in receiving, processing, and understanding information. However, classroom teaching is often applied uniformly, disregarding the differences in learning styles among students. This can hinder the effectiveness of the learning process. This research aims to develop a web-based expert system using the Euclidean Probability method to identify the dominant learning styles of students at SMK Negeri 3 Lhokseumawe. The system processes input data representing student characteristics and calculates the proximity to each learning style category using the Euclidean distance formula. A total of 110 student data entries were analyzed, revealing that 32 students (29.09%) had a Visual learning style, 26 students (23.64%) were Auditory, 16 students (14.55%) were Read/Write, and 36 students (32.73%) were Kinesthetic learners. The results showed that the Kinesthetic learning style was the most dominant among students. Therefore, this expert system can efficiently assist in determining students' learning styles, allowing for quick and accurate identification of their learning preferences. This supports the development of more personalized and adaptive learning strategies, which are expected to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Course scheduling in higher education institutions is a complex combinatorial optimization problem involving numerous constraints such as lecturer availability, room capacity, time slots, and course distribution across semesters. Manual scheduling practices often result in conflicts, inefficient resource utilization, and prolonged preparation time. This study proposes a hybrid course scheduling system that integrates a genetic algorithm (GA) and constraint programming using the CP-SAT solver from OR-Tools. The GA is employed in the first phase to generate optimal course sections based on student enrollment, lecturer workload, and capacity constraints. The best solution produced by the GA is then refined using CP-SAT to generate a conflict-free timetable that satisfies all hard constraints, including lecturer, room, and time conflicts, while also optimizing selected soft constraints. The proposed system is implemented as a web-based application deployed on Microsoft Azure, enabling scalability and accessibility. Experimental results using real academic data demonstrate that the hybrid approach successfully produces feasible schedules with zero conflicts and significantly reduces scheduling time compared to manual methods. The results confirm that the integration of GA and CP-SAT provides an effective and flexible solution for university course scheduling problems.

Abstract

Sebelum menulis kode pemrograman secara langsung dengan bahasa pemrograman, langkah-langkah pembuatan program dapat dituliskan terlebih dahulu dengan bentuk yang lebih sederhana dengan pseudocode. Mempelajari pseudocode adalah bagian penting saat ingin merancang langkah-langkah yang diperlukan untuk membuat sebuah pemograman. Namun mempelajari pseudocode  masih banyak dilewati oleh mahasiswa informatika karena sulit untuk dipahami, pada akhirnya mahasiswa akan kesulitan dalam memecahkan masalah pada  pembuatan bahasa pemograman. Penelitian ini bertujuan membantu mahasiswa untuk belajar memahami pseudocode dengan cara yang lebih menarik. sehingga akan membantu mahasiswa dalam menguasai pseudocode guna merancang langkah yang diperlukan untuk membuat program. Aplikasi game pembelajaran pseudocode ini akan dirancang menggunakan bahasa pemograman java berbasis desktop yaitu menggunakan java NetBeans 8. Aplikasi game ini memiliki empat tingkatan level, yaitu input/output (level 1), seleksi kondisi (level 2) , perulangan (level 3), dan array (level  4). Dalam aplikasi ini proses pemilihan tingkatan soal menggunakan algoritma Depth First Search (DFS) dan pengacakan soal menggunakan method random pada java. Pada saat menjalankan aplikasi pembelajaran pseudocode dasar ini, pengguna diharuskan menginput sambungan coding dari pseudocode yang disediakan dengan cara menginputkan jawaban pada textfield yang tersedia. Proses ini yang digunakan untuk melatih pemahaman pengguna akan materi yang tersedia dalam aplikasi ini. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian game pembelajaran pseudocode dasar, mampu meningkatkan minat mahasiswa informatika dalam mempelajari dan memahami pseudocode. Dan pada saat mereka menulis dalam bahasa pemrograman yang sesungguhnya, program dapat dijalankan dengan benar.

Abstract

Pada sistem pengukuran tinggi badan dan tinggi tendangan secara manual memiliki banyak kekurangan sehingga dapat diusahakan melalui pengolahan citra digital. Pengolahan citra mampu melakukan pengenalan objek dan mengukur karakteristik objek pada citra. Penulisan ini memaparkan tentang perancangan sistem identifikasi tinggi badan dan tinggi tendangan taekwondo. Bahasa pemograman yang digunakan adalah Visual basic. Metode chess board digunakan untuk perhitungan jumlah piksel. Segmentasi pada citra melaluibeberapa tahapan yaitu grayscale, binerisasi citra dan coloring. Pada pengukuran ini akan dilakukan capture terhadap objek. Sampel citra yang digunakan sebanyak 20 sampel. Dalam proses pengambilan citra menggunakan kamera beresolusi 5 MP dengan objek dalam posisi berdiri tegak dan jarak objek dengankamera sekitar 4-5 meter. Proses pengambilan citra juga dibantu dengan penyangga kamera (tripod) yang ditetapkan ketinggiannya 120 cm agar setara dengan tinggi objek sebenarnya dan citra dalam bentuk format jpeg. Pada proses perhitungan, jumlah piksel akan dikonversi kedalam satuan panjang untuk mengukur tinggi badan manusia. Perhitungan tinggi badan dan tinggi tendangan merupakan selisih antara piksel tertinggi (y max) dan terendah (y min) dari objek. Dengan menentukan batas tepi lalu sistem mulai memproses perhitungan tinggi badan dan tinggi tendangan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian didapat keakuratan sistem memiliki nilai persentase kesalahan rata-rata sekitar 0,82 %. Dimana dapat dikatakan sistem ini memiliki nilai kesalahan yang minim atau sedikit. Dengan adanya aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat mempermudah dalammelakukan pengukuran tinggi badan dan tinggi tendangan taekwondo.

Abstract

Papaya is one of the most widely cultivated horticultural commodities in Indonesia. However, this plant is susceptible to various diseases that can reduce productivity and fruit quality. Limited knowledge among farmers in identifying early disease symptoms is a major factor in failed disease management. This research aims to develop an expert system using the Mamdani Fuzzy Logic method to assist in determining types of diseases in papaya plants. The system utilizes fuzzy inference techniques capable of handling uncertain and linguistic data, and is built using the Python programming language and MySQL database. Diagnosis is performed based on symptoms entered by users, processed through fuzzification, inference, and defuzzification stages to produce the most probable disease type and its certainty level. The test results show that the system provides accurate diagnoses that align with manual expert analysis using predefined fuzzy rules. Therefore, the expert system serves as an effective solution for supporting fast and accurate identification of diseases in papaya plants.
