Abstract

Proses pembelajaran matematika dilaksanakan siswa merasa tidak tertarik terhadap materi yang dibahas oleh guru sehingga kurangnya konsetrasi siswa pada saat pembelajaran dilaksanakan serta kurangnya sikap gotong royong dalam melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran secara berkelompok. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk menilai efektivitas model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika dan sikap gotong royong. Menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-eksperimen (nonequivalent control group design) dan analisis data melalui Independent Sample t-test, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa PBL secara signifikan mempengaruhi prestasi matematika siswa dengan melakukan uji hipotesis menggunakan SPSS 23 yang menunjukkan nilai (Sig. 0,002 < 0,025). Namun, model ini tidak menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap sikap gotong royong (Sig. 0,070 > 0,025). Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa PBL efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman matematika siswa, tetapi tidak memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap sikap gotong royong. Pengukuran prestasi menggunakan pretest dan postest sedangkan sikap melalui angket dan observasi. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang efektivitas model problem based learning dalam proses pembelajaran matematika dan sikap gotong royong, serta menawarkan alternatif pembelajaran yang lebih baik

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between students' perception of Indonesian courses and their impact on academic performance. Through a quasi-experimental design, this study combines quantitative surveys, social media sentiment analysis with big data-based NLP, and statistical regression of academic records from 1,200 students at 10 universities in Indonesia. The study results show that students' negative perception of Indonesian courses has a significant negative correlation with their academic achievement. Through regression and correlation analysis, it was found that students with higher levels of negative sentiment towards this course tended to have a lower Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA), with R² = 0.23 (p < 0.001) which suggests that the negative perception of the course can explain the variability of a GPA of 23%. These findings suggest that an unpleasant learning experience can significantly affect students' academic performance, especially when associated with teaching methods, curriculum relevance, and students' academic burden. The implications of this study confirm that curriculum reform and technology-based pedagogical innovation are not only needed to improve students' learning experience, but also play a role in optimizing academic outcomes.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap prestasi belajar matematika dan sikap bersahabat di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimental dengan desain Nonequivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD sebanyak 42 siswa yang terbagi menjadi 20 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 22 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Penentuan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan instrumen prestasi belajar siswa melalui pretest dan posttest sedangkan instrumen sikap bersahabat didapatkan dengan angket menggunakan skala Likert. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t pihak kanan, dimana t-hitung lebih besar dari t-tabel sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh antara pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap prestasi belajar siswa dengan t-hitung = 3,399 ≥ t-tabel = 1,684; (2) terdapat pengaruh antara pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap sikap bersahabat siswa dengan t-hitung = 2,160 ≥ t-tabel = 1,684.Abstract: This research aimed to find out the effect of realistic mathematics approach towards the students' learning achievement and friendly behavior on the fourth grade of Elementary School. This was a quasi-experimental research with Nonequivalent (pre-test and post-test) Control Group Design. The samples of this research were 42 fourth graders of Elementary School taken from two classes consisting of 20 students of the experiment class and 22 students of the control. The data of students'learning achievement were collected using pre-test and post-test, while the data of students' friendly behavior were collected using a questionnaire of Likert scale. To test the hypothesis of this study using the right t-test, where t-count was bigger than t-table so Ho will be rejected and Ha will be accepted. The results showed that: (1) there was an effect between realistic mathematics approach and the students' learning achievement with t-count = 3.399 ≥ t-table = 1.684; (2) there was an effect between realistic mathematics approach and students' friendly behavior with t-count = 2.160 ≥ t-table = 1.684.
