Abstract

Village Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are an integrated action or effort to realize the acceleration of achieving sustainable development goals through strengthening typologies, including villages without poverty and hunger, villages whose economies grow evenly, health care villages, environmental care villages, villages that care about education; women-friendly villages; networked villages; and culturally responsive villages. In 2021, every village in Indonesia, including all villages in the District of Rawamerta, will have begun planning and implementing the village SDGs.In its implementation, village governments are still experiencing many obstacles, such as data collection on village communities, technical data updating, and how to disseminate village information. This obstacle occurred due to the need for more understanding by the village government regarding the implementation of the village SDGs and the absence of routine assistance from the Village Community Empowerment Service. This community service activity aims to help overcome the problems partners face in determining the direction of village development based on the Village SDGs. The method used in this activity is the educative method, also known as community education. The educational method includes socialization and counseling to transfer knowledge and education for community empowerment. The results of this activity include increasing participants' understanding and knowledge of the village SDGs program, along with the implementation of 18 village SDGs goals and targets in determining the direction of village development, and village governments can use the 2021 Village SDGs application to update village data.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of pilgrims’ trust in Umrah travel services, which is influenced by the quality of customer service interpersonal communication. The study aims to analyze how customer service interpersonal communication in Umrah pilgrim services builds pilgrims’ trust. The study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews with customer service representatives and the business owner, supplemented by documentation in the form of pilgrim questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that customer service interpersonal communication fosters pilgrim trust through three primary patterns: informative communication during the registration phase, educational communication during the manasik phase, and ongoing communication during the pre-departure preparation phase. Furthermore, consistent verbal and nonverbal communication helps strengthen the relationship between customer service representatives and pilgrims. Thus, customer service interpersonal communication plays a crucial role in building pilgrims’ trust through the clear delivery of information, empathetic attitudes, and continuous interaction throughout the service process.
