Abstract

Buah lada hitam memiliki komponen utama yaitu senyawa piperin yang berkhasiat sebagai antiinflamasi. Pemakaian secara topikal dengan penghantaran obat melalui TDDS (Transdermal drug delivery system) diharapkan dapat meningkatkan penetrasi obat sehingga lebih efektif. Nanoemulgel merupakan sediaan nanoemulsi dengan ukuran droplet kisaran 50-1000 nm dengan penambahan basis gel. Nanoemulgel dipilih karena sistem penghantaran obat berpenetrsi kedalam kulit sehingga dapat meningkatkan bioavailabilitas suatu zat aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sediaan Nanoemulgel dengan variasi konsentrasi surfaktan Tween 80 dan kosurfaktan PEG 400. Sebanyak tiga formula dibuat dengan variasi konsentrasi surfaktan Tween 80 dan kosurfaktan PEG 400 yaitu F1 (30:30); F2 (35:25); dan F3 (40:20). Ekstraksi buah lada hitam dengan metode sokletasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Tahap pembuatan sediaan Nanoemulgel dibuat dalam 3 tahap yaitu pembuatan nanoemulsi, pembuatan basis gel dan pencampuran nanoemulsi ke dalam basis gel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Formula 3 merupakan formula terbaik dan stabil dilihat dari  hasil pengujian ukuran partikel (59,37) nm, polidispersitas indeks (0,25), zeta potensial (-28,9) mV, dan pH sediaan (5,60±0,01).

Abstract

Purple leaves contain flavonoids as anti-inflammatory. Aloe vera contains lignin compounds as bioenchancers. Utilization of these two plants in the form of topical emulgel preparations with the hope of being able to reach the systemic circulation. This study aims to formulate purple leaf extract and aloe vera extract in the form of an emulgel. The formula was made in 4 variations with concentrations of aloe vera extract F0 (0%), F1 (2.5%), F2 (3%), F3 (3.5%). Quality parameters include organoleptic, pH, spreadability, viscosity, cycling test, and penetration test using cell diffusion method franz. The results showed that the aloe vera extract emulgel formulation had good physical quality, namely organoleptic viscous green color, characteristic aromatic odor, pH 4.66-5.01, spreadability 5.63-6.03 cm2, viscosity 8100-9100 cPs. The results of the stability cycling test did not show changes in organoleptic and pH of the preparation, while the viscosity of the preparation decreased. Penetration test results based on statistical analysis of purple leaf extract emulgel obtained p> 0.05, which means that the addition of aloe vera extract bioenhancer did not have a significant effect on the value of the cumulative amount and flux.Keywords: emulgel, bioenchancer, penetration, franz diffusion cell

Abstract

Kidney stones disease is asignificant health problem in the world and Indonesia is no exception. Traditionally, avocado seeds can be used as a laxative medicine for kidney stones disease. Elixiris a clear and sweet hidroalkohol solution intended for oral use and a flavor is usually added to enhance the taste. This study was to determine theformula of the avocado seed elixir which has the best quality and the level of flavonoids.Elixir testing was performedusing several methods such as organoleptic, limpidity, viscosity, pH and specific weightas well as total flavonoids. The result showed that the best elixir formula was the Formula I which composed of 7%avocado seed extract, 5% ethanol, 10% propylene glycol, 40% sirupus simplex, 0.1%, essence mint and 100%aquadestilata ad. Furthermore, Elixirhad a brown color, mint aroma and pretty sweettaste. The test results showed that elixir had a viscosity of 7.92 cP; pH of 5.65; specific weight of 1.0413 g/mL andtotal flavonoids of 2.1020%.

Abstract

Cinnamon Bark contains flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, and phenols. Phenolic compounds contained in cinnamon is a sinamat acid is effective as anti diabetic. This research aims to determine the formula preparations tablets efervesen extract of cinnamon bark with a certain type of sweetener that favored the panelists and the levels of sinamat acid in efervesen tablets and extracts. The formula is made with different types of sweeteners such as aspartame stevia 1.5%, 3.5% and 1% sukralosa. The results of the analysis showed no difference in sweeteners influence against the parameters of color and scent but the effect on the parameters of taste every formula. Formula tablets efervesen extract of cinnamon bark that is favored by panelists based on based on the parameters of taste is formula 1 with the sweetener aspartame concentration of 1.5% and a formula 3 with sweetener sukralosa concentration 1% preferred formula panelists. The results of the analysis of the levels of sinamat acid in extract of cinnamon bark obtained the level of 471, 13 mg/g as for Formula 1 tablet efervesen acquired the levels of 369.76 mg/gram

Abstract

Hair dye is a cosmetic preparation intended to give the hair a new color or restore the original color. Purple sweet potato tuber skin contains more anthocyanin that can be used in the manufacture of hair dye preparations. The extract was prepared by maceration using 96% ethanol. Hair dyes were made into 4 formulas: Formula 0 was not added with a concentration of copper II sulfate, while Formulas 1, 2, and 3 were added with copper II sulfate concentrations of 0.5%, 1%, and 1.5%. The tests included organoleptic tests, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, hair coloring stability tests, including stability tests against washing and sunburn, and preference tests. The results showed that the hair dye gel preparations were homogeneous, had a distinctive odor of hair dye, and had brown (F0), brownish green (F1), and blackish green (F2 and F3) colors. Abstract

Cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum burmannii) is used traditionally and has an ingredient containing cinnamic acid compounds. Colocasia esculenta (L) Schott leaves contains of flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, saponins, steroids, and terpenoids. Both of the plants C. esculenta and C. burmannii plants have the potential as anti-diabetics because they can lower blood glucose levels. This study aims to make combination tablets of C. burmannii bark and C. esculenta leaves extract with various concentrations of PVP K30 binder. This research made four formulas with the concentration of PVP K30, namely F1 (2%), F2 (3%), F3 (4%), and F4 (5%). Tablet preparations were prepared by the wet granulation method. Tablet analysis used flavonoids quercetin and cinnamic acid as markers. The results showed that the tablets were flat, round in shape, light green, had a slightly bitter taste, and had a distinctive aromatic odor. The differences in the concentration of PVP K30 binder 2-5% could affect the hardness, friability, disintegration time, and tablet dissolution (p<0.05). The tablet's hardness was 3.65-5.01 KP; friability was 0.705%, disintegration time was <15 minutes, and dissolution was 84.61% in 40 minutes. The levels of the flavonoid quercetin in the tablets were 4.21% and 8.03% cinnamic acid. A tablet combination of C. burmannii bark and C. esculenta leaves extract with a PVP K30 concentration of 5% (F4) has the best quality.

Abstract

Daun saga rambat (Abrus precatorius L.) dapat menjadi alternatif pada pengobatan sariawan yang biasa dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat secara turun – temurun dengan cara ditumbuk sampai lumat dan kemudian ditambah air matang untuk dikumur atau bahkan diminum. Daun saga rambat memiliki aktivitas sebagai antijamur, karena tanaman ini mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder berupa flavonoid, saponin, alkaloid dan steroid yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan jamur Candida albicans. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan variasi polimer HPMC dan PEG 400 yang menghasilkan mutu fisik terbaik dari sediaan oral thin film ekstrak daun saga (Abrus precatorius L.) yang memenuhi syarat mutu. Sediaan dibuat sebanyak 4 formula dengan perbedaan konsentrasi pada PEG 400 yaitu F1 dengan konsentrasi 5%, F2 dengan konsentrasi 10%. F3 dengan konsentrasi 15%. Dan F4 dengan konsentrasi 20%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variasi konsentrasi berpengaruh terhadap mutu sediaan oral thin film, formula 3 merupakan formula formula terbaik berdasarkan uji waktu hancur (48 detik), uji ketahanan lipat (201,2) dan persen pemanjangan (85,71%).

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian sebelumnya yang telah dilakukan di Kelurahan Pakansari, didapatkan angka kehamilan dan kelahiran anak cukup tinggi. Proses tumbuh kembang anak menjadi periode emas yang tidak boleh terlewatkan dan terpenuhi kebutuhan jasmani dan rohaninya sehingga tercapai kualitas hidup anak yang maksimal. Pencapaian itu tentunya tidak lepas dari peran ibu dan anggota keluarga terdekat dalam memastikan bahwa selama proses perkembangan anak salah satunya adalah peran dalam melakukan pengobatan atau mengambil tindakan serta keputusan yang berkaitan dengan pengobatan saat anak sakit. Swamedikasi membantu masyarakat untuk dapat menangani berbagai penyakit ringan yang mungkin muncul secara cepat, tanpa harus berobat ke dokter serta fasilitas kesehatan rujukan lainnya. Data dari dua RW di Kelurahan Pakansari menunjukkan bahwa jumlah anak rata-rata pada setiap keluarga adalah kurang dari 3 anak dengan penyakit yang sering terjadi berupa Batuk/flu (50%), Demam (21,4%), demam disertai batuk/flu (21,4%) dan diare (7,1%) dengan obat yang paling sering digunakan adalah paracetamol. Masyarakat di Kelurahan Pakansari lebih cenderung mengunjungi dokter atau fasilitas Kesehatan terdekat Ketika anak sakit dibandingkan melakukan pengobatan sendiri dengan kunjungan antara 1-3 kali per tahun. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai Swamedikasi belum memadai. Sehingga tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah memberikan edukasi kepada ibu mengenai swamedikasi yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan observasi, memilih objek penelitian, mengumpulkan data dan melakukan penyuluhan. Dengan adanya kegiatan penyuluhan, ibu dengan anak balita menjadi lebih faham mengenai swamedikasi, dan bisa memberikan penanganan pertama yang tepat apabila anak sakit di rumah sebelum mengunjungi fasilitas Kesehatan. Previous community service activities that had been carried out in Pakansari Village, found that pregnancy and child birth rates were quite high. The process of child growth and development becomes a golden period that cannot be missed and their physical and spiritual needs so that the maximum quality of life for children is achieved. This achievement certainly cannot be separated from the role of the mother and closest family members in ensuring that during the child's development process one of them is the role of carrying out treatment or taking actions and decisions related to treatment when a child is sick. Self-medication helps people to be able to deal with various minor ailments that may appear quickly, without having to go to a doctor or other referral health facility.The record data from two RWs in Pakansari Village show that the average number of children in each family is less than 3 children with frequent illnesses such as cough/flu (50%), fever (21.4%), fever accompanied by cough/flu ( 21.4%) and diarrhea (7.1%) with the most frequently used drug being paracetamol. People in Pakansari Village are more likely to visit the nearest doctor or health facility when their child is sick than self-medicating with visits between 1-3 times per year. This shows that the public's knowledge of self-medication is inadequate. So the purpose of this service is to provide education to mothers about self-medication that can be applied in everyday life. The method used is to make observations, choose research objects, collect data and conduct counseling. With counseling activities, mothers with children under five have a better understanding of self-medication, and can provide the right first treatment if their child is sick at home before visiting a health facility.

Abstract

Ketoprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which is generally used to reduce pain and inflammation. The main obstacle in administering drugs via transdermal is the low penetration of drugs through the skin. Aloe vera contains lignin compounds which are thought to be bioenhancer. This research aims to formulate ketoprofen and aloe vera powder in form patch and compare penetration patch with and without the addition of aloe vera powder. Preparation patch 3 formulas were made with different ratios of HPMC E5 and Eudragit E100 polymers F1 (6:2), F2 (8:2), F3 (10:2). Formula 3 is the best formula with a comparison of HPMC E5 and Eudragit E 100 of 10:2. Formula 3 has a thin, dry patch and is easy to remove from the mold. F3 then remade with additions bioenhancer by 5 % and patch without additions bioenhancer. The results of the physical quality test showed that the formula with and without the addition of aloe vera as an enhancer has uniform weight, thickness, pH and folding resistance which meets the requirements for patch preparation. Franz diffusion cell result for patch preparations with the addition of aloe vera showed a better penetration value than without the addition of aloe vera with a cumulative value of 92.5815 μg/cm2 and a total flux of 260.4355 μg/cm2 hour.

Abstract

Kojyl 3 APPA is a compound used for skin lightening. Kojyl 3 APPA has a good solubility in water. This causes the hydrophilic nature kojyl 3 APPA difficult to penetrate through the skin. Transfersom is a carrier system that can improve the effectiveness of drug penetration. This study aims to formulate, characterize and evaluate transfersom preparations containing kojyl 3 APPA. Further more transfersom formulated in a gel formulation. Preparation gel was tested its physical stability and in vitro penetration test against non transfersom kojyl 3 APPA. Transfersom gel formulation is physically proven stable at room temperature, low temperature and high temperature storage. In vitro penetration tests showed that kojyl 3 APPA penetration loaded in transfersom gel was 11,16% while for non transfersom gel 8,02%
