Abstract

Floating drug delivery system (FRDDS) is a new drug delivery system that is intended to prolong the time of drugs in the stomach. One form of the gastroretentive system is a floating tablet, which can float and stay in the stomach for some time. Preparations with this system are suitable for use in drugs that have an action on the stomach. Gastritis is defined as an inflammation or swelling of the inner lining of the stomach. Guava leaves are proven to have active ingredients that can act as anti-ulcers. This study aims to formulate floating tablets and determine the optimal combination of HPMC with xanthan gum in the formulation of floating tablets of guava leaf extract based on flotation testing and in vitro dissolution profiles. The extract was made using maceration method with 96% ethanol as solvent. The tablets were made in a number of 3 formulas using the wet granulation method. Each tablet weighed 500 mg with a combination of various types of HPMC K100M, HPMC K15M, HPMC K4M with xanthan gum as a floating agent. The formula produced the best tablet quality with a combination of HPMC K100M and xanthan gum as a floating agent. Based on the results of the in vitro dissolution profile, the drug release rate ranged from 23,604% - 26,846% with in 360 minutes (6 hours).

Abstract

Hypertension is a significant health issue in Indonesia, with a prevalence of 30.8%. This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge of residents in Pakansari Village regarding hypertension and its management through education on dietary patterns and using fruits and vegetables. The methods employed in this activity include Information and Education Activities, which consist of presentations, discussions, practical sessions on making healthy juices from local ingredients, and counseling. The results indicate an improvement in participants' knowledge, with an average post-test score reaching 95%, compared to a pre-test score of 88%. Additionally, participants successfully practiced making healthy beverages that can be incorporated into their daily routines to help control blood pressure. This activity will positively impact community health and encourage healthier lifestyle changes.

Abstract

Parasetamol termasuk golongan obat NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatoryi drug)yang bekerja sebagai antipiretik dan analgesik. Chewable gums merupakan salah satubentuk sediaan farmasi yang memiliki rasa manis dan mudah dikunyah, Sediaan inisangat mudah dikunyah, sehingga direkomendasikan untuk pasien pediatrik dangeriatrik serta efektif untuk pengobatan pada pasien yang memiliki penyerapangastrointestinal dan penyerapan secara sistemik. Tahun 2022 BPOM RI menemukanadanya 5 produk yang menunjukan adanya cemaran etilen glikol, 3 dari 5 produkdiataranya sediaan sirup antipiretik untuk anak. Oleh karena itu dibuat formulasichewable gums dalam 3 formula dengan variasi konsentrasi pemanis stevia dansukralosa. Formula 1 stevia 5% dan sukralosa 15% (1:3), formula 2 stevia 10% dansukralosa 10% (1:1), formula 3 stevia 15% dan sukralosa 5% (3:1). Metode yangdigunakan dengan cara cetak tuang, dimana massa dipanaskan kemudian di tuang kedalam cetakan. Dilakukan uji evaluasi mutu fisik yang terdiri dari uji organoleptik, ujikeseragaman bobot, penetapan kadar air, uji pH, uji waktu larut, uji tekstur, danpenetapan kadar parasetamol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian formula 3 dengankonsentrasi pemanis stevia 15% dan sukralosa 5% (3 : 1) merupakan formula terbaikberdasarkan uji mutu fisik yang terdiri dari uji organoleptik, pH, waktu larut, uji tekstur,uji keseragaman bobot dan penetapan kadar parasetamol. Pada penetapan kadar air,semua formula memiliki kadar air yang tinggi >20% akibat pengaruh penggunaankonsentrasi gelatin yang tinggi.

Abstract

Cangkang telur memiliki kandungan kalsium dan magnesium  sedangkan  daun kelor (Moringa oleifera L.) mengandung mineral seperti kalsium dan zinc. Kedua bahan alam tersebut mengandung kalsium yang bila dikombinasikan bermanfaat sebagai suplemen untuk kesehatan tulang sehingga agar mudah digunakan bagi pasien maka diformulasikan dalam bentuk tablet kunyah. Pemilihan bentuk tablet kunyah karena dapat digunakan untuk pasien yang sulit menelan obat konvensional seperti anak-anak dan lansia, memiliki onset yang lebih cepat, dan dapat digunakan tanpa harus menyiapkan air. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan formula tablet kunyah yang paling disukai oleh panelis berdasarkan sifat mutu fisik tablet dan uji hedonik, serta menentukan nilai kadar kalsium dan zinc dalam tablet dan ekstrak. Tablet kunyah dibuat dengan metode granulasi basah dengan berbagai jenis pemanis yaitu F1 (Aspartam), F2 (Xylitol), F3 (Stevia). Evaluasi granul meliputi uji laju alir, sudut istirahat, indeks kompresibilitas serta rasio hausner. Hasil granul yang diperoleh sangat baik dan mudah mengalir.  Evaluasi mutu tablet meliputi uji organoleptik, keseragaman ukuran, keseragaman bobot, kekerasan, kerapuhan, waktu hancur tablet, serta penetapan kadar kalsium dan zinc. Hasil ketiga formula tablet kunyah memiliki bentuk bulat cembung, warna hijau muda, bau khas aromatik dan rasa manis. Keseragaman ukuran dan bobot tablet kunyah memenuhi persyaratan Farmakope Indonesia. Analisis statistik memperlihatkan bahwa perbedaan jenis pemanis tidak mempengaruhi mutu tablet kunyah berdasarkan nilai kekerasan (sig. 0,345 > 0,05), kerapuhan (sig. 0,404 > 0,05),  dan waktu hancur tablet (sig.0,875 > 0.05). Sedangkan hasil uji hedonik menunjukkan bahwa  perbedaan jenis pemanis mempengaruhi penilaian rasa dan aroma tablet kunyah (sig. 0,00 < 0,05). Kesimpulannya bahwa tablet kunyah kombinasi tepung cangkang telur dan ekstrak daun kelor dengan pemanis Aspartam (F1) merupakan formula yang paling disukai oleh 20 orang panelis dan memiliki kadar kalsium sebesar 4,0090%  dan zinc 0,00080%.

Abstract

Anemia dan tekanan darah tinggi menjadi salah satu penyakit penyerta selama kehamilan yang dapat meningkatkan resiko angka kematian ibu dan anak (AKI) dan setelah melahirkan penyakit tersebut memiliki prevalensi untuk tetap muncul pada beberapa ibu. Kedua penyakit penyerta tersebut dapat dicegah dan ditangani dengan konsumsi vitamin maupun obat secara teratur dan dengan melakukan pola hidup sehat. Salah satu gambaran pola hidup Ibu hamil di kelurahan Pakansari adalah cenderung memilih makanan dan minuman tanpa mempertimbangkan nilai gizi dan manfaatnya. Pola makan dan minum tersebut dapat memperburuk kondisi serta memicu timbulnya penyakit penyerta selama kehamilan. Tujuannya adalah untuk memberikan edukasi kepada ibu hamil mengenai manfaat buah untuk ibu hamil dan melakukan demo pembuatan makanan dan minuman berbahan dasar buah. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: melakukan observasi, memilih obyek pengabdian, mengumpulkan data obyek pengabdian, mengisi kesediaan mengikuti kegiatan pemeriksaan dini dan penyuluhan dengan mengisi kuisioner, melaksanakan kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelayanan kesehatan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pengetahuan ibu hamil mengenai manfaat buah masih sangat kurang, kurangnya pengetahuan ibu hamil mengenai manfaat buah-buahan ini dapat menjadi penyebab hanya sekitar 50% ibu hamil yang mengkonsumsi buah setiap hari dan pengetahuan tentang pengolahan buah masih sangat kurang berdasarkan hasil data kuisioner 85% mengkonsumsi buah dengan cara dimakan langsung.

Abstract

Health is one of the basic human needs that is important to maintain. With good health conditions, humans can carry out activities and fulfill other life needs well. Health services are a dynamic activity in the form of helping the community in monitoring the scale of their health. Health services are efforts carried out jointly to maintain and improve health, prevent and cure disease, and increase public attention to their health conditions. Degenerative is a group of diseases in which there is a change in the function of certain parts of the body. As age increases, body function also decreases, so that degenerative diseases cannot be avoided. The dominant risk factor for degenerative diseases is heredity. Exercise habits and the habit of consuming balanced nutrition will also help with a healthy and good aging process. The aim of this service activity is so that people in the Pakansari Cibinong sub-district who take part in the activity can know the importance of knowing their health conditions and also raise awareness among the people in the Pakansari Cibinong sub-district regarding their health conditions. Activities carried out at community service events for the community in Cibinong sub-district are general health checks, Body Mass Index (BMI) checks, blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks and uric acid checks. There were 38 people who took part in the activity, including 26.3% men and 73.7% women. From the results of the examination, it was found that 39.5% of participants had a normal BMI, 47.4% were overweight and 13.2% were obese. Hypertensive conditions were found to be dominant in pre-hypertensive conditions, namely with a percentage of 29.7%. Blood sugar conditions were found to be hypertension, namely with a percentage of 86.5% and uric acid conditions were dominated by participants who had normal conditions with a percentage of 64.9%.
